A list of puns related to "Electrical Connectors"
I was changing my fuel pump this weekend and forgot to relieve fuel pressure. I ended up squirting fuel on the electrical connectors for the fuel pump. I didn't reconnect the connector and have let it sit for 24 hours now but it's pretty cold where I am and I'm not sure if everything has evaporated and it is safe to reconnect. What can I do to make sure it is safe to reconnect?
I broke a red clip on my 2000 9-3, do you have a good way to get those out? Or do I need to get a pin extractor and a new plug?
I was going nuts trying to snap pieces together in a new camp, they just won't connect together. I tried everything, leaving camp, moving camp, rebuilding floors and walls, changing servers, turning my Xbox on and off, nothing worked. Finally I reset my Xbox and like magic everything worked. I hope this helps someone else....
What is the name for the connectors that plug in to the stock servo? I want to run lights on channel 2 and need a plug for wiring them up. Thanks!
Hey, yeah best list of connectors or plugs. Maybe even list of how common or available they are. Like, Iβm familiar with jst plugs that are pretty common, but say I want to connect 10 or 8 wires in a small package to a device or box, or maybe 16 in one connector. Or maybe 6 but with a little more amperage like 5 amps but still a small, indexed connector. Iβm familiar with jst connectors, banana plugs, bullet connectors, spade connectors, barrel plug, aux ; but what if I want something more dust resistant fora motorcycle with a shield or something? Where can I find a good list of all common options?
I'm working on a project that uses a PLC to control some tabletop machinery. It's all very light duty pneumatics, tiny stepper motors, fork sensors, etc. and the whole thing is supposed to be semi-portable. The machine sits on the tabletop. The electrical enclosure will sit on the ground on wheels (~12" x 24" x 24").
I've got a total of 33 wires that need to go from the enclosure to the machinery (combined power and comms). Eight of those are carrying .5 to .8 amps each and the rest are sub 0.1 amp.
How should I go about connecting the enclosure to the machinery? I don't really know what options are out there. I'd really like to stick to readily available cables/connectors and avoid crimping something custom. The fewer cables the better. At first I was looking into just one big DB37 cable to handle everything, but the some of those pins would be passing too much current for the 26awg wires inside.
I'm sure there's an obvious solution here but my background is mechanical and I'm learning as I go. Suggestions?
Does anyone know what the name is for the electrical connectors on the plug and play light switch please? I am just trying to search Amazon/eBay for them

Hello,
This is a follow up to my previous post (https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicAdvice/comments/pxie4g/fan_knob_working_strangely_in_2013_hyundai_tucson/) about my 2013 Hyundai Tucson L and its problem with the fan speed dial working strangely. I took the dash apart a little bit and found melted plastic and burn marks on the power connector to the heater control.
The heater control is this part:

A picture of the melted connector:
The heater control itself is also a bit singed, I didn't bother posting a separate close-up picture of that, you get the idea. I think I need a new one.
My question is -- what type of connector am I looking at? I googled connector types and couldn't find one. I am familiar with computers, it's sort of similar to the type used in PCs. We just called them "pin" connectors as I recall. Don't know their official name. I want to know the type so I can find the part I need, as well as search videos how to swap them out. I assume I pull the wires from the old and insert into the new.
Thanks!!!
Talking to people at the 2021 race, it seems many teams don't like Microfit connectors for reliability reasons. What do you guys use for board connectors, and, if you use enclosures and bulkhead connectors, what to you find works well?
