They continue focusing on the church rather than the gospel of Christ, notably Elder Oaks who uses very unconvincing arguments. Reading his Ensign talk of March 2020, I was amazed that this is a man who once had a distinguished legal career. It was filled with absurd proof texts of scripture and non-sequitur arguments. There is no excuse to misuse scripture like he did.
