A list of puns related to "Drama Therapy"
Jasmine is clearly broken by bad relationships to the point of being a psychopath. Memphis said that she wants a guy to fill the void in herself. She absolutely needs to get herself in order, learn some other languages, and learn about other cultures. The thousands of dollars she is sinking into plane tickets and the visa process would be far better spent on future planning for her very real children who undoubtedly love her.
The all around ignorance (Caleb, I'm looking at you), lack of wordly knowledge, gullibilty out of desperation (Mike, Kimbally), and inability to make good decisions is of course the fuel for TLC's dumpsterfire programming, buy damn these people are cringe.
I'm 31f, my mom is 47 (yes, she had me at 15, almost 16). I dont know if it's due to the fact that she was still a child herself when she had me, but I had always been treated as the second mom in the house. Babysat 24/7, worked after school every single day from age 9 to 17 to help her pay bills (she was dating the owner of the company so I was able to work with her legally) and I was basically a built in maid. I dont recall one single time she picked up a broom or sponge. She was always a very messy, pack rat sort of woman. It was fucking embarassing and I refused to have people over growing up.
Now, the other day I had called my mother because I was going through a rough time. I've just been stressed out with homeschooling my 3 kids, working full time and still doing all of the house work (my husband is deployed). Its just exhausting and I cant think of one single person who wouldnt feel defeated. So, I called her to vent. She is different than she was when I was a kid. More understanding, so we had built a pretty decent relationship over the years.
Well.. throughout this conversation she is listening to me vent. Throwing in a few remarks or comments that pertain to what I'm saying and all is well. However, she then (randomly, I might add) said "You know the only reason you have any of these issues is because you're a drama queen, right? You've always been obsessed with drama. Its never ending. You've always been like this. Cut the drama out of your life like a normal person." I was quite taken back, admittedly. Some words were said, mostly on her part, about how I basically was a terrible child (for better words) and wanted everyone to "fix" me, versus working on myself. I have no fucking clue where any of this random rage came from. So, I told her to check herself into some fucking therapy and hung up.
My brothers (who I helped raise) are saying that I crossed a line and that I should never talk to her like that because she raised us herself and it was stressful being a single mom and she never let us go without. But what they dont take into consideration is I helped pay all of the bills for years. AITA?
Even if a wizard is skilled with magic but has speech-issues, he is going to be a terrible wizard. If you're going to cast a verbal spell and not be able to say it right first time (which either means it won't work, or instead you case a different spell you didn't mean to) then apart from being annoying it could lead to consequences if you happen to be duelling for your life or something. At least with "muggle weapons" like guns all you do is point and pull the trigger, but with wands you have to point and then basically shout what spell you want to fire. And if you have a stutter or dyslexic and shouting the spell's name correctly is going to take you several seconds you are going to just be hit by the other person and lose.
Also with spells like the cruciatus curse in the 6th book we see Harry try to use it on Bellatrix but it doesn't work well and she explains you have to use emotion behind it. So wouldn't Hogwarts have drama classes to help with this sort of thing. Also when duelling it seems simply speaking the spell's name isn't enough you have to actually shout it too.
So it does seem being a good actor and a good clear speaker is essential for being a good wizard.
Hello all,
I am deeply interested in the Major course in Drama therapy but to obtain it I first need to finish a bachelors' degree related to this subject. I have been researching everywhere and in most sites, it is written that a bachelor's in drama or psychology is needed. But my question is - which one is more important? I am torn between these two and I cannot find the right choice because maybe one of the degrees has a bigger value relating to this master's course. Perhaps there is someone who has finished this major and would like to share their experience with the courses they chose?
I would deeply appreciate the help. Thank you!
As the title says, I tried chadstoolbox.com and nothing, KC Tools seems to be down or something but didnโt recall seeing Facom in their catalogue. You guys got anything?
Iโm wondering if therapy would be actually beneficial for me or if Iโm just overreacting and being a drama queen. Occasionally Iโll wake up with thoughts of hopelessness and redundancy (everyday is the same, nothing really matters, iโm so boring, etc) and theyโll last one or two days, although this occurrence is few and far between. Recently, I got on birth control and because of this, my mental health is taking a turn for the worse. I constantly feel insecurities about my boyfriend (you arenโt good enough for him, heโs gonna break up with you) and the littlest things have been sending me off into a crying spell that can last for hours. Iโve always felt a sense of insecurity in my life and as a result, purposefully avoided interactions where people could judge and form a negative opinion of me.
I feel like talking with someone who is not directly related to these problems would be helpful and it will also be good for me to learn how to manage these emotions. But in the moments that Iโm not feeling hopeless or insecure, I feel completely fine and look back and see how dumb I was acting. I think it would be helpful for myself to seek out therapy so I can learn how to manage these emotions but every time I try and do it, I just feel as if Iโm overreacting and donโt actually need therapy. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.
Is it really a good look on the Lifehouse community if someone continues to lie about their โsuccessโ with women?
We here at r/Lifehouse would like to request proof that LasHijasDelDiablo actually had a girlfriend. Photos together, social media profiles, anything. Otherwise we will take the stance that he never had a girlfriend and that HE is the one who lies.

Ok, so this is going to be long and thank you to anyone who reads it all lol. I posted about this same woman a year ago.
So I have been working at a small private therapy practice for 1.5 years. I mostly have liked the job, but the office manager has been a consistent issue and lately, it is just getting to be too much.
First, I wanted to thank Reddit, r/Massage, and all of you for giving me and each other a place to converse and discuss a panoply of topics and issues. This has been a phenomenal place for myself, personally, to get encouragement, ideas, and discourse. Thank you all.
Now, onto the topic.
Iโm also part of the Facebook group Massage Therapists (43,000 in the group). The most recent post got very much under my skin: โHas anyone had success in running a female ONLY practice?โ
Now, the OP of that post didnโt state why she wanted to do that. However, for a guy (and gay, for what itโs worth for this and that posts sake), itโs disheartening to see how many female therapists were encouraging this on what seems to be exist bases.
When I brought up certain points as far as discrimination outside of those particular circumstances, it was not well received. I feel as if youโre going to say โnoโ to a client who needs the work based solely on their gender is unethical and discriminatory. I brought up the subject of โWhat if the person is female-to-male or male-to-female trans. What if theyโre non-binary? Would you still refuse them treatment?โ In the true nature of gender equality, these things HAVE to be considered and understood.
I understand women of whom were assaulted or have PTSD who get uncomfortable with being in a dark room with a man. I promise I understand. However, if youโre going to let that get in the way of your work and low-key punish legitimate male clients for it, you either need to step back and heal more, or find something else to do or somewhere else to work. For example, do like the aforementioned therapist does and work at a woman-specific center or something of the nature. I myself volunteer at the LA LGBT center in West Hollywood and offer free massages to men who are healing as well, and/or those netting treated for HIV/AIDS. While I myself have been HIV- my entire life, I was still exposed to harassment in my small southern town, and want to help others heal. One lady mentioned she did this for one of her practices which focuses on pre/postnatal massage and she works with a Womenโs Center that helps healing physically and emotionally exhausted women. I am BEYOND encouraging and understanding of that, especially for the patients/clients at hand.
I should also mention, my said jimmies get ruffled with male therapists who almost refuse to work on other men. Iโve seen many male coworkers who get uncomfortable with working on males, howev
... keep reading on reddit โกHello!
I graduated college in May of 2019 with a bachelors degree in English with a minor in Drama. I more or less chose these fields because I loved the professors and the courses and because I have a big background in the theatre.
Since graduating, I've been doing a gap year totally unrelated to my degree: working at an American military resort in Germany and traveling Europe. I have known for a while that I would like to work with children in some capacity but of recent drama therapy and expressive/creative art therapy has been really speaking to me.
I am very curious about how drama therapists/creative/expressive arts therapists found themselves in such roles and what logistical steps they take to get there.
In summary to all you drama therapists and other therapists who do similar work, I am wondering what graduate school programs/certifications you went through and how your location/state played into your ability to practice these kind of therapies.
I would LOVE to talk with any and all drama/expressive arts/creative therapists and learn the ropes!
Thanks so much! :-)
PS. I am originally from Kentucky and hope to eventually practice there but I am not opposed to living elsewhere. (I don't know if this is useful information or not but I thought I'd share bc licensure and location seems pretty confusing to me at this point)
