A list of puns related to "Docomo"
Next stop for presenting Meta and Seikesuis transparent 5g/6g reflective transparent material will be at the Docomo open house next week. This is one of the first confirmed partnerships with distribution plans starting this year, and predicted sales target of $52 million with in 4 years. https://www.newswire.ca/news-releases/sekisui-chemical-develops-transparent-and-flexible-radio-wave-reflection-film-for-5g-communications-831401394.html
I signed up for the online exhibit https://openhouse.docomo.ne.jp/en/pre there will be Japanese and English translated presentations, notably a keynote speech from Takehiro Nakamura senior vice president of Docomos 6g promotion department.
I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I've been researching getting one and I can't seem to find an answer.
Specifically, I'm looking at getting an SH-01J.
If I get one that is unlocked and put my SIM card in, will I be able to make calls and send SMS messages? My cell carrier is ATT so It'll have to work with 4G as they're getting rid of their 3G infrastructure.
Thanks!
Docomo is the largest wireless carrier in Japan, with 82.632 million subscribers as of March 2021. I can only imagine how much they have grown in a year. Ken Rice has also mentioned that METAยฎ is working with Sekisui in Japan. As seen in this video https://youtu.be/NlNCICqCi7g?t=197 Ken mentions Sekisui at the 5:15 mark.
Over on Twitter James C Everett u/everetjc tweeted this out: "$MMAT u/Metamaterialtec is presenting 5g products at #CES2022 1/5 - 1/8. u/SekisuiSC is presenting Meta tech at u/docomoโs open house 1/17 - 1/19. How big is this?"

EVERYTHING is falling in to place here really soon. Towards the end of the month, I would expect Meta to be starting a release of a PR Storm. You all know it's coming!
For most of the past decade, the Red Hurricanes were essentially irrelevant on the Japanese rugby scene. They were a yo-yo club, going between the top and second division in regular intervals. Worse, they didnโt seem to have much of an identity or fanbase. So itโs been a welcome surprise to see signs of ambition these past two years from this club. Last year they signed Makazole Mapimpi and TJ Perenara as they placed third in a conference of eight. Then they decided to strike while the iron was hot and set up permanently in Osaka.
It was a great move for a few reasons. Osaka is the largest city in Japan outside of the greater Tokyo area, and no other first division team calls it home. Itโs a huge media market, and if theyโre successful they could develop a large fanbase. They found a great stadium situation. They lured Johan Ackermann away from Gloucester and Elton Jantjies out of France.
But that doesnโt mean their job is done. There are threats lurking nearby. Kobe sits only 17 miles away. And while Iโm guessing that people from Osaka would usually be reluctant to cheer for a Kobe team, they might make an exception if a storied club like the Steelers are competing for the championship with star players. And closer to home, in neighboring Higashiosaka (which literally translates to East Osaka City), the Hanazono Kintetsu Liners are showing ambitions of their own. Theyโve recruited well, have their own amazing stadium, and are looking to make it to the first division for next season.
The Red Hurricanes have a window. The Steelers donโt look as dangerous as they usually do, and the Liners are in the 2nd division this season. They have to make a good impression in their new home. Itโs a big opportunity. Will the Red Hurricanes be able to take it?
Last Season
They started off the campaign with three solid victories against mid-table opposition. Then they suffered defeat against both the Wild Knights and Steelers, but they were competitive in both. They had one out of place slip up against Yamaha Jublio, but won their other two games to finish 3rd in their conference which appears to be their highest ever finish.
In the playoffs, they got over the Honda Heat in a competitive match before losing to the Verblitz in a very close game.
Rate Their Stadium Situation: 8/10
I donโt think any team outside of the Wild Knights has as good of a stadium situation as the Red Hurricanes. Yes, like most JRLO teams, the Red Hurricanes will be splitting the

Plz if you have softbank or docomo android 11. Dump modem_ab partition to help me. Thank you so much...
Are prepaid phones unlocked? If I was to buy a Docomo prepaid phone from a gas station, am I able to put another carrierโs SIM card in and it be functional?
Y!Mobile shop said it was impossible, but it could have been "we can't be bothered explaining" as I'm not impressed by their customer service. My Japanese Google-foo is not giving me anything useful.
Also, is it possible to avoid the SoftBank Wi-fi Hotspot app as the thing is probably tracking your every footstep...
My internet connection resets like 2 or 3 times an hour. The cable modem assigns my router an address in the 192.168.0.x address space, which is just wrong for a public IP, and even wrong if they were using carrier grade NAT. I was usually getting 202.x.x.x type addresses. I changed nothing on my end.
And they never answer their support number anymore. Typing this out while on hold for 22 minutes. My last 2 calls never went through either. Just rang after a long time on hold and then disconnected.
I am beyond frustrated with them. Been a customer for a decade and never had issues like this.

Someone asked me if Ahamo was working OK for me because they couldn't get a signal on their iPhone with Ahamo. Mine was working fine... until I restarted it and now I'm in the same boat. Upon checking the status page for Docomo, it seems like the entire country is in the same boat.

Nokia readies O-RAN fronthaul with NTT DOCOMO for multi-vendor 5G operation
* Nokia provided its AirScale baseband which was integrated and tested with third-party solutions
* The trial demonstrates Nokiaโs continuing commitment to open networks
7 December 2021
Espoo, Finland โ Nokia today announced that it is ready to supply its
O-RAN fronthaul multi-vendor solution to NTT DOCOMO, INC.โs (DOCOMO) 5G network following successful testing. The move will enable the Japanese operator to further select independent combinations of hardware and software to optimize its network in the future. It follows the work of the O-RAN ALLIANCE in creating a common specification enabling interoperability between different vendors. It is the latest milestone demonstrating Nokiaโs commitment to O-RAN and open networks.
During the trial at DOCOMOโs Lab in Yokosuka, Nokiaโs 5G O-RAN AirScale baseband was successfully integrated and tested with third-party O-RUs (radio units). Nokiaโs O-RAN capabilities are built on top of its AirScale software and provide the same high level of performance, functionality, and security as Nokia's radio products. Nokia is helping to prepare for the network architecture of the future by building open interfaces on top of its existing solutions, offering CSPs a choice to pursue O-RAN. Nokia has already made significant investments in O-RAN by leading the early deployment of the RAN Intelligent Controller (RIC) and the open fronthaul.
The O-RAN ALLIANCE was formed in 2018 to define common interfaces between systems to reduce complexity and accelerate the deployment of multi-vendor RANs. It specified an eCPRI-based 7-2x open interface between the Radio Unit (O-RU) and Distributed Unit (O-DU). This is the only standardized fronthaul interface that enables multi-vendor interoperability while optimizing the cost of fronthaul transmission and maximizing radio-frequency performance.
Sadayuki Abeta, General Manager of Radio Access Network Development Department, NTT DOCOMO, commented: โNTT DOCOMO has been actively driving open RAN standardization and commercialization, being the worldโs first operator to deploy multi-vendor O-RAN solutions for the 5G network. Successful testing with Nokia is an important step in further accelerating open RAN commercialization and its global expansion.โ

... keep reading on reddit โก*Edit : I mean the G8441, not 3884.
I've decided to buy an XZ1C. The size and battery life seem perfect for my needs.
I see that the only buying options are on ebay, and there is the Docomo version for $200 and the 3884 model for $320.
Based on research it seems like the Docomo version has a stronger frame, but in certain rural areas in the US 4G may not be supported. (I live in NYC) The 3884 version seems more stable in terms of connection, but as noted the frame isn't as strong. Price wise I could go either way.
I haven't found much more information beyond that; was wondering if I could get some advice. I'm leaning towards the Docomo, but I'm wondering how much I'd be affected by the connectivity issues if I live in NYC.
At this point I'm leaning towards whichever is easier to use out of the box without much tinkering. What would you guys recommend?
Thanks!
The examples I find are all by the doorway of the entrance and my old apartment was the same. However in my house I want the box located in my living room. Will the construction technician decline? (West Japan specific) Also Docomo no-showed their appointment at the beginning of August. Theyโre blaming the west Japan flooding and Iโve waited 4 weeks for just a call back on when they can reschedule. Is Sony having the same issues?

Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry 26th Business Invitational
With last yearโs black tie event canceled due to the Black Christmas crash, the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) is resuming its highly anticipated 26th Annual Business Invitational.
For two decades, JCCI has assisted Asian businesses in strengthening Japanese capacity to compete in other Asian market, to expand business opportunities and to promote business connections amongst peers, as well as recgonising contributions of foreigners to the Japanese economy, and this year Akio Mimura, 19th Chairman of the JCCI is pleased to provide Chinese business leaders of Tencent, Ant Group, and Didi with honourary awards.
For the JCCI, it is gratifying to hold this yearโs event amidst the challenges to Asian markets in the face of economic contraction, global instability, and western racism of Asian businesses and business leaders - first on Covid-19 and now on market crashes.
We have all been affected and we are grateful to be able to hold this event and celebrate, and meet one another as individuals and corporations of remarkable success, acomplishment, and contribution.
The 26th Annual Business Invitational will feature seminars on AI, quantum computing, hologram technology, the space industry, and construction. There will also be demonstrations of entertainment through the Wakoku Wave and market reports from Japan's years of Yurionomics. Award winners have their full flight and accomodations paid for, while small buisness owners are brought togther in catered events to meet one another and build networks and supply chains.
Each year, JCCI has forged a reputation for bringing together industry and finance to continue driving forces of market success in Asia. This year is no different with a celebratory panel featuring leading young business people from Japan, Korea, China, and South East Asia - the 4 under forty has previously hosted leaders of innovative start-ups, student leaders, and the richest young person in Asia Yoshikazu Tanaka.
This year, JCCI is honouring Jack Ma, Ma Huateng, and Cheng Wei, leaders of Ant Group, Tencent, and Didi. Each year, the selection committee identifies a top Pinnacle Award recipient, however due to last years cancelled event, and the take off of online gaming Japan over the years, Jack Ma was invited to recieve his award this year, and Ma Huateng was invited as a thi

NTT Docomo has released the list of phones that will receive Android 12 for them. Surprisingly I find that Xperia 10 II to be amongst them. Since 10 II already got the usual midrange update from 10 to 11, I think most websites assumed it won't get 12. Maybe this signals a change in OS update policy from Sony?
