A list of puns related to "Crossfader"
Hey all, Iβm looking to do a dj set with Ableton, and Iβve done it before using an APC40, but have since switched over to Push 2, and am really missing just a basic crossfader. Can anyone point me in the direction of something like just a super simple box with only a crossfader, that could be used via USB or midi? Any help would be appreciated!
I'm looking for a beginner course similar to Crossfader's DDJ-200 but I want to use a DDJ-400. Can I use the DDJ-400 in the Crossfader course? I'm a complete noob, so I would prefer the course use a DDJ-400.
I know a lot of people start with YouTube tutorials but I've heard good things about the Crossfader course. Mainly that it helped to have all the basics in one place instead of hunting around YouTube to mix & match what you need to learn.
I'm sure all the experienced people know this, but Deoxit fader lube worked wonders on my cross fader. I have an entry level mixer Numark M2 and like other people, the fader was bleeding within a couple months. I cleaned it frequently, still bleeding. While practicing, blowing into the fader slit would help it for a few minutes. Considered upgrading to Innofader but I have no soldering experience. Deoxit was my last attempt before upgrading my mixer and it really gave it new life and doesn't bleed for the time being, a week later so far. Good luck fellow n00bz
Just got the Octotrack a few days ago and trying to wrap my head around it. I take it that the crossfader only controls scenes, and the scenes are mostly related to FX. Is there a way to use the crossfader to fade between two different samples/short loops? If so, what are some keywords so I can search for this function?
I was just mixing songs on my pioneer ddj rr and then the crossfader stopped working out of no where. I use rekordbox could anyone help with this problem.
Hi everyone, I'm in the process to buy a new mixer, I was using for the last 10 years an ecler nuo 2.0 with an ethernal crossfader. I want to renew my equipment but I feel like I'm out of the market and know a few about latest trends and options nowadays. I read something about popular crossfafer like the innofader, magval, rane but I didn't have chance to try any of them and I'm open to get some feedback from you guys. I'm looking for a fine sensitive crossfader for battle and scratching as well as solid for mixing. So far the ethernal crossfafer was satisfying my needs but I believe in 10 years a lot of things changed and im curious to try new technologies. I'd like to hear some opinions about your favourite crossfader and why, need definitely some tips for my new purchase, thanks in advance!
I don't have an XZ at home to mess with, but I want the basic two-channel crossfader set up. Do I just set 1 & 2 to A & B? What about the fader curve type?
Crossfader is enabled in the mixer, Iβve tried shifting it to slow, fast, linear, power- tried disabling and then enabling- have tried restarting Serato DJLite and unplugging my controller, but nada- literally worked one day and then not the next- maybe I accidentally hit shift and something else?
Any and all help is appreciated!
The title essentially says it all my mixar primo just started doing this about a week ago and Iβd like to remedy it. It seems like the only working fix would be just to replace the cross fader. Right now Iβm looking at this
My questions being
On the Doepfer page there's mention of a mod for voltage controlling the waveshaping circuit. Anyone done this?
I'm keen to pick up one of these. It seems like a great little module for fixed waveshaping but if there's a possibility to CV this then all the better!
Hi all,I want to share with you the dual voltage-controlled panner/crossfader module I developed. It has:-
I've put a demo video on YouTube. Check out the schematic and bill of materials on github: https://github.com/TimMJN/Voltage-controlled-panner-crossfader
Hi guys, I'm kinda new to mixing and was wondering what's your preference between the three methods and why? I'm not using the crossfader at all, I used to crossfade with the volume faders + low EQ and some filter, but recently I started practicing crossfading using all EQs and the mix is so much smoother, also I find it easier to mix in different keys that way. I'll be happy to hear your opinions and some tips π€
Hi everyone! Crossfade settings should I select for the following functionality:
-Middle of crossfader is 50% volume for each deck
-If crossfader is exactly between Deck A and the middle of crossfader, Deck A should be at 75% volume and Deck B at 25% volume, and vice versa
Let me know if I need to elaborate further. Currently it seems like as I am crossfading from Deck A to Deck B, Deck Aβs volume doesnβt really seem to lower much at all until I crossfade pretty much all the way over to Deck B. Maybe I was hallucinating during the gig, dunno. Anyway, I donβt scratch or anything if that helps. Thank you
What midi out cc value does the crossfader have and what channel does it go through?
Just love switching the cross fader the wrong way at a pivotal drop! π© luckily mine was just at home, anyone have this when playing live??
Iβve heard people mention assigning the crossfader under mixer preferences, but I also donβt seem to see anywhere to do that. Any help would be great!
Hi! I've just bought my first controller, and there is a problem with the crossfader I think. Even though it is dead centered on the device, rekordbox thinks it is slightly moved to the left. I've tried re-installing rekordbox, but it didn't solve the problem, also I've checked the ddj400 FAQ, but there was no useful information to me. If you guys had problems similar to mine, or know what should I do to solve it please help.
I have only managed to find 2 YouTube videos on this camo. And I would like to know if I own a "rare" camo
Hi evereyone,
I am currently experiencing an issue with the crossfader on my Numark Scratch mixer. The fader suddenly doesn't close anymore even though it is all the way to the left or right. So I can still hear the music playing from the second turntable. I restarted the mixer, as well as serato, so I assume it isn't a software related issue. It occurs in PC as well as in line/phono mode.
Also, the crossfader inversion is still working as are the line faders, eqs and filters. I got the mixer one year ago and it is being used twice or three times a week for up to two hours euch time, so I don't think the fader is worn out. It's an innofader, which is supposed to be pretty durable.
When I am not using the mixer, it is covered under dust protection.
I haven't taken the fader out of the mixer yet to have a closer look, as I was kind of hoping this could be solved without taking it apart.
Has anybody have had that issue yet, or any clue what might be going on here?
Thanks a lot already!
What is the simplest solution to get the crossfader to work on midi? Something to receive the crossfader cc and have it modify cc values i send to my synths.
