A list of puns related to "Constrictor Snake"
Okay, here's the text for the "Constrict" feature on the Giant Constrictor Snake (which is defined as a Huge beast):
>Constrict. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 13 (2d8 + 4) bludgeoning damage, and the target is grappled (escape DC 16). Until this grapple ends, the creature is restrained, and the snake can't constrict another target.
This is similar for a CR 1/4 Constrictor Snake, but lower damage, +4 to hit, and DC 14 to save.
The rules for Grappled do not mention anything about size differences between the two beasts, nor do the Restrained rules. However, something about this seems off. If this isn't the case, then could a single Constrictor Snake (a Large beast) do the same thing as a Giant Constrictor Snake (a Huge beast)?
If I use Conjure Animals to produce 8 Constrictor Snakes instead of 1, and then have all of them attempt to grapple the dragon's wings so that it can't fly, this should be VASTLY more effective than just one giant, if I'm understanding the rules right. Yes, the Giant Constrictor Snake gets a +6 to hit and a higher DC of 16, but the chances of success with 8 instead of 1 blows it out of the water, even with the lower attack roll bonus and save DC.
The reason I am curious about this is because my party is about to face off against an Adult White Dragon, and I want to get the best bang for my buck out of Conjure Animals since we've been battling nearly all day, and spell slot conservation has been painful, so I've only got one Level 3 and a bunch of 1βs left. I am a Level 5 Shepherd Druid with a party of a Barbarian, Fighter, Paladin, Rogue, and I, for reference.
I need help looking for an album/artist I've forgotten based on a cover description alone. I was hoping you guys could help me out.
I think the genre is kinda modern psychedelic/indie. If it was in a record store, it would be on the shelf next to Crumb, Tame Impala, levitation room, Mild High Club, etc.
***But most notably the album cover was very striking. It was two (almost naked) ladies with pink skin, staring into the camera, and over their shoulders was a yellow boa constrictor.
This has been driving me crazy and I'll know it when I see it.
Thanks!
Random Loot Tables are the best. In tonightβs session our Druid scored a Staff of the Python...
Sheβs a Human Druid and thus Medium sized. The Staff transforms into a Huge telepathically controlled snake... Did my Druid just score herself a mount? It has a strength of 19.
Huge is defined as a 15ft x 15ft cube of tiles... how would that translate to a linear dimension... surely we canβt be talking about a 45ft long Hissboi.
I have a level 5 moon druid, and I want to give her more wildshapes.
I'm thinking of adding this into my dungeon which I'm running later today, but I wanted to know if any other DMs had experiences with their own druids and that particular wildshape first.
Thanks!
Throughout the years Iβve taken care of a good amount of exotic animals.Iβve had tarantulas, scorpions both docile and very aggressive but in the reptile category Iβve been owning a 3 year old male Ball Python since 2018 Lately Iβve been amazed by the Boa Constrictor species. The main thing I like about them is the big size they get in comparison with other snakes. But with every other animal comes an additional responsibility and I want to be careful.
In these 2 years of my new introduction to snakes, Iβve had no many problems with my BP. Good sheds, no food strikes, appropriate enclosure with heating and friendly behavior. The only mistake that unfortunately cost his growth was the prey size I didnβt change during the appropriate time
Iβm still learning more about snakes and care to this day. Some people I know own up to 3 snakes and Iβm really curious whether itβs an extreme responsibility to have and put in mind more thoughtfully. I always had the time to care for all the animals and economically it doesnβt hurt my wallet, comes pretty cheap and my BP does eat a lot now. The basic economic challenge though is the terrarium and I think that goes for everyone. For those who own maybe even a couple of snakes, did it make a big impact in care? Are you able to look out for every animalβs needs?
Hey! so i just started a campaign as a firbolg druid, circle of the moon. and i had a fight where i turned into a giant snake. i had the snakes stats pulled up and it said i could grapple someone and i had to make the attack roll (duh/obviously) BUT in the comments of the website (bc i use Aurora and donβt any books ππ) someone said if the attack hits the person is grappled and cannot attempt escape until their turn but from my knowledge and my dmβs knowledge you can make a strength check to escape any grapple, is the snake an exception?
I like exotic pets, I am into cars, movies and TV shows, and honestly a little of everything.
Pretty laid back, and just open to talk about anything. Shoot your shot.
I always see documentaries where big constrictors have caught antelopes and are trying to swallow them, but how on earth do they catch them in the first place?
EDIT: Maybe it's just because I usually frequent less popular subs, but lol my inbox is overflowing. Thanks for all the info!
If you own either of these snakes, please give your opinions on them. Iβm worried about getting a Burmese python because they get really big and I donβt know if I can deal with that. But they act really sweet.
I saw some other people looking for lost albums based on a cover description alone come through here so I was hoping you guys could help me out.
