So I don't know what's worse, Your run of the day Christian congregation who are bigoted and just don't follow their Bibles teachings, or the place that I pass the other day when going to see the fiance's dad and sisters.. It was just shocking to see this area being in such a really nice living area, I don't know why it just seemed out of place.
Just a road over from their new place and we passed a "Christian science Church"...
As far as I am to believed a Christian science church is basically one of those branches of Christianity that does not believe in science or medication or going to the doctors if someone is ill or dying or anything, and they believe that their God can heal them with enough prayer...
Totally correct me if I'm wrong.
But even if I am which do you think is worse, personally I think this is worse tenfold because it's not only harming people outside of the church but it's also harming the people inside of it, like the innocent children for example or the innocent family members who don't believe but are forced into this way of living of not going to get medical care..
I also just really don't understand how this all came about, I mean I guess I do, delusion and insanity, but why are there so many of them?! What makes them honestly think it's a good idea to go against getting medical care if someone needs it?

Last week in our online-cause-covid church café, we ended up with a discussion about the problems in Christianity. I didn't even start the discussion but I was almost alone in saying that a lot of horrible things have been done in the name of our religion and that many Christians still actively push cruelty and hatred in their communities and the media, harming vulnerable people. The highlight was our deacon, whose spiritual leadership I respected above anyone else's, declaring that Christians discriminating against people isn't relevant because in some places Christians are discriminated against. That really broke my heart, just the sheer unwilling stubbornness of being completely unwilling to have a conversation about about mine and a lot of other people's suffering. I used examples, I told of personal experiences, I named the few statistics I actually have ready from memory, I referred to the gospel. They can't hear it. To them, anything that says that Christianity might be a problem or have a negative impact is either a lie to discredit our religion or it is in the past and done with and not a valid argument in any current discussion.
How do I make these people, who are otherwise very kind and open folk, understand that being Christian isn't good by default? That Christians have a responsibility to actually make Christianity a force for good in the world? That they can't stand by and watch Christians do heinous things while declering themselves Christians and their ecumenical kin?
I feel so helpless here because this was my safe place in a church that was often just hateful towards me and that I'm often ashamed to be a member of. If this isn't a place where Christianity can be seen as - aside from all it's beauty and kindness - also problematic and challenging, then what the f*ck am I doing here?

I was doing a love spell asking Aphrodite (my main deity) help in finding A bf and i offered her some lavender seeds. I have to keep my magic on the DL so its often hard to complete a ritual without making some kind of mistake like me dropping a candle after i try to cover the flame when it burns or something. Anyways, i wrapped her sigil and the lavender seeds along with the paper, then i used two red candles to wax seal which I originally was going to use one to burn it but the smoke would’ve woke him up. I felt decently confident that my spell went well, and i prayed to Aphrodite during it thanking her for the good things i had last year and asking her help in manifesting it. Although, i do have a concern that my mistakes can come off as a disrespect to her and the powers that be, what is everyone’s opinion on my performace?
Note, im not casting this on a specific person and asking for Aphrodite’s assistance in manifesting a bf.
