A list of puns related to "Cogitation"
(Or: Some thoughts on the ransom note.)
The more I look at the ransom note, the more I notice something you may have noticed too if you've ever written or edited fiction, or if you're just prone to noticing stuff.
Here's a thing you probably don't think much about, because it's mostly an automatic process for you (and for everyone who does it, including me): Every word you say, while communicating with other people, is a deliberate decision you're making. For almost every word, there's a lot of options and you picked that one, because it was the one which best communicated what you meant to say. You're doing this all the time. I'm doing this right now. You do it so frequently and you've become so adept at it that you can just call the words up from memory so when you're speaking out loud there's not significant delay between thought and speech. Sometimes it's negligible which word fits better, but you settle on one, for one reason or another. And maybe you might fuss with whether to use the word "decision" or "choice" even though they're basically synonyms, if you're given to fuss with your written communications. And other than the twee bullshit at the end of the sentence preceding this one, this all flows pretty smoothly and I'm pressing buttons on a keyboard and you're reading this and we are communicating and it's not costing you a lot of mental resources to make sense of what I'm saying to you. This is because, like you, I'm usually trying to use the best words I can to communicate what I mean. Because I'm doing that, you don't have to fight with my presentation. And if a person stops doing that, it gets noisy.
If you had asked me about some fellow and I told you "Oh yeah, that guy? I saw him last gloom," you'd look at me funny. It's really charming when you do that, by the way. Not relevant, just pointing it out. Thought you should know. Anyway you'd do that because instead of telling you I saw him last night I looked up the word night in a thesaurus and pasted in a random synonym and now I sound crazy. Not entirely random, though, I should say. I first eliminated all the ones I know I myself would use conversationally, because hey, what if I needed to write a letter that didn't sound like me? What if not sounding like me was more important than choosing the word that reflected my precise meaning?
So if someone says things like "I'll monitor you later," as you part ways with them, it jumps out. And if they say things like "adequate size attac

for MODs this is a google translation. there are many people who love silver, who buy silver, who believe in silver, who put all their hopes in silver .... !! I have a simple thought to share with you: crimex en bankster is a tower with a lot of fortifications ... and it will be a breeze to defend this tower if we storm one at a time ... We must walk together side by side towards this tower !! there are so many reddit groups whose focus is the same ... The only difference is the color of the briefs we wear !! a big ape from the earth!
Me and my group of friends have just come across this term in Rouge Trader - Battlefleet Koronus page 33, and cannot find any information online about what exactly it means. What is it? What does it do? What does it cost?
Please send help.
I recently read two posts/replies on here. Both impacted me in ways that I have often found specific books and movies have impacted me. Within a specific context, they are like the atomic bomb, but pull them out as just a random post and they are at best interesting.
The first one was someone replying to someone else about feelings of being ignored by an AP. I have felt that. Often. But the statement that was essentially made was You or your AP should not be each other's priorities... ...
It took a moment to sink in. Really? We shouldnt? I am still kind of confused by it but I definitely get the point and I partially agree. That my AP should be like an escape. A solitary cabin in the mountains where she and I can both catch up with desire. But what if desire isnt the only thing we are looking for. What if some of us (I dont think I am the only one) are looking for an alternate reality. A friend of sorts. In that case, sure, you dont want your friend to be a priority but you wouldn't want to be ignored would you?
The second one was a link to an unsent letter written by a wife to her husband's AP or girlfriend. And I wondered. I am probably better than the guy mentioned in that letter but what would a similar letter from my wife would be? It was a dark rabbit hole I went tumbling in and even now my mind hasn't quite been restored to its steady state.
Sorry if this post was not as interesting as it started out to be. But would love to hear your thoughts nonetheless.

When it says each kill passively increases accuracy, is that only when it's active, or just by having it?
That's all I remember except I loved this book as a teen in High School (1988-92) . I've used the phrase ' conjugating the verb' ever since.
Edit - yes it should be conjugating the verb. Sorry!
I just finished a year at a Japanese university, and I'm looking eagerly right now at the offerings at Finnish institutions. Certainly, when it comes to public schools, these countries consistently score at the top of the league tables when it comes to the Pisa tests and such things.
Certainly, pedagogically, Finnish and Japanese schools are miles apart. However, one thing that they do share is the ethic that a teacher needs to look into a student's mind and guess how they might be cogitating about something. Then, you address things from that frame of reference.
It seems like in the USA, from 5th or 6th grade onwards, the unstated goal seems to be that students "grow up and become responsible in respect to their studies." Now, this sounds great - except that what it actually means is that the teachers have less training in working with the age groups they are going to be involved with... and all too often, they will look at their job as being narrowed to simply presenting the course material in a more or less straightforward way.
In a school of education program in the USA a few years back, I was very disgruntled about the fact that they were not teaching us anything about how to manage social dynamics in an elementary school classroom. In fact, one teacher finally came back and told me, "You just can't teach that; it's a personal gift." On the other hand, they spent so much effort when it came to trying to instill positive personal values in us college students. I thought it kind of a weird imbalance. However, maybe that was just me.
Yes, scaffolding was talked about in that US school of education program, but in the sense of it being a thing which only had to do with the structure of the lesson planning... and less to do with the minds of the students... and how they will be grappling with subject a, b, or c.
I just watched this magnificent video by a Finnish school of education professor, and he is not at all shy about talking about the theory behind designing experiences in the classroom.
> *"Teaching social skills very explictly ... We go beyond the rational agenda ... But how is it going to be done to make it socially meaningful? How do we increase the authenticity in the teaching, rather than making prefabricated discussions ... We begin from an empty piece of paper, and you create your cooperation according to the guidelines you give the students. So they really have to create something w
