A list of puns related to "Claymore Mine"
I posted this as a comment reply in another subreddit, but I thought the fine folks here would enjoy it too:
When I was in the service, I worked with power generation equipment in an M1A1 Abrams tank unit. One type of tracked support vehicle had a small generator mounted on the top to power the equipment inside (radios, computers, etc.). The vehicle driver was responsible for normal maintenance checks for the gas engine that ran the thing, which was pretty small.
I get a call during a field exercise that one of my track mounted units was having a serious problem and was putting a ton of thick white smoke out of its exhaust and wouldn't stay running.
"Thick white smoke?", I resignedly confirmed. "Don't tell me; lemme guess. Private Dumbass, right?"
"Nailed it in one!", beamed Corporal Schadenfreude, our motor pool scheduler.
This particular soldier was one of those truly special individuals who couldn't pour water out of a boot if the instructions were printed on the bottom. I head over to the vehicle line and follow the still lingering smoke signals to his rig.
"What did you do to it now?", I asked.
"Nothing. It stopped running, so I checked the oil this time like you showed me.", he proudly replied.
My eye twitched at the memory of the untimely demise of the previous generator belonging to this vehicle. "And was it low?", I queried, starting to confirm my working hypothesis.
"Man, was it ever!", he excitedly replied. "I filled it back up, but it took the entire oil can. Then I started it back up, but it started smoking and died again. I've been trying for the last 30 minutes, but it won't stay running!"
*Twitch*
"Would you mind showing me exactly where you were able to pour nearly five gallons of motor oil into this engine that holds no more than a quart or so normally?" I asked with a deceptive calmness.
This guy couldn't find his own asshole with both of his hands and a flashlight, but he was finding his way to the conclusion that he had fucked up somehow fairly accurately. To my utter lack of surprise, he began unscrewing the generator's gas cap. "I poured it in there."
"And where do you normally fill it with gas?", I asked ever so sweetly.
He looked at me, looked at the gas tank of the generator, looked at the empty five gallon motor oil drum, and then looked back at me. "Oh!", he explained.
*Twitch*
Edit: a word
Anyone missing those?
I know maps are huge, but stil lthey could defend certain areas and definitely are more team healthy then armour or injection.
This makes my favorite character even better. She is my fourth character on almost every party, and now even more so.
Look forward to it! not sure when it will be done but it looks great so far!
Which is better in your guys opinion for effective kills?
Pretty straightforward.
I don't really have much to say, I mean It literally just gives you kills and rewards you for doing absolutely nothing. They also seem to attract the worse type of players such as the ones that never move out of a certain area and are always scoped in. I know they have been in cod sense forever but that does not change my opinion, they have always been annoying. In this game however they are obviously so much worse and I don't even need to explain that to the people that play this game regularly. As much as cold war is a really shite game, they made a REALLY good decision by making claymores a field upgrade so at least you have to work a little for such a cheap option of getting kills. What do you guys think?
Okay, yet another search for a unique item. I came upon 4 m18a1 airsoft claymore mines and I need the remote trigger. I can use the wired one but Iβm really looking for the 4 button transmitter. If you donβt have it but have seen it in the wild, cash for info (in stock, though, since evike and a few other vendors have them but none in stock). Failing that, does anyone know how to identify the frequency o an unknown electric device (I know it is 2.4 MHz but donβt know a single thing beyond that). Any info would be amazing.
A simple m18 with laser tripwire, or in a pinch traditional tripwire setup in each of the halls?
Would the shrapnel or concussive force be able to take on out?
How much damage could one take before it decided to fuck off?

This mine doesn't explode in all directions, but fires out a shotgun-like fan in a specific direction, making it far more efficient than, say, a Bouncing Betty. Given PP's aiming system and the realistic bullet system, I think the Claymore could be a cool addition, requiring proper placement and facing to use correctly.
What do you think? Could this work?
So I was watching one of my favorite movies "Platoon" from 1986 with a friend who was in the army way back when the whole Bosnia thing was going on, and there came the scene where Junior fell asleep on his post and they got snuck up on, ambush. And what was said was after that Charlie didn't blow the claymores. In the scene before they showed them being strung up in the trees and I asked my friend, "Is that how they work? You pull some clicking lever device?" And he said "No, it's like a trip wire, where they walk into it and it goes off automatically." But then why would someone need to blow them? I think he might be wrong about how those work. I sure don't know. Any thoughts welcome.
There's the one tm-46 mine mod, are there any more mods for explosives you can use as booby traps?
