A list of puns related to "Chalazion"
so i first had a small lump under my eye around october 2020, It wasnt painful and never got in the way of anything so I simply left it, on christmas I started to wonder because this thing won't go away, so I googled it, found out it was chalazion and put warm compresses on my eye daily, I used clean cloth and warm-hot water. The Chalazion did get better as it got smaller, however the problem was I suddenly had excessive eye gunk, and just today I woke up with a lot of eye gunk stuck in my lower and upper eyelashes. What is happening?
tldr : didnt care about chalazion, cared then put warm compress, chalazion got better (not gone), but now I have blepharitis (?)
Had a chalazion on my left eye that was surgically removed but there still a little lump which the doc said was scar tissue. I also have a chalazion on my right for a while which is more stubborn to antibiotics and warm compress. Do treatments like ACV and tea tree oil really work for a chalazion that's been on my eye for so long? I'm graduating college soon and these have really hurt my self confidence talking to people and taking pictures. Any recommendations?
Iβm 8 months in TSW and have had a ton of acne like Iβve never seen before all over my face. I got a chalazion on my left eye 3 months in and just last week some oil came out but not all. I have a new one forming on my right eye and have had it for 3 months but now itβs really red and growing. Iβve been drinking a ton of water, apple cider vinegar sometimes and often chamomile tea. Iβve also tried to lower the amount of eggs, dairy and whey but sometimes I have them. Daily supplements Iβm taking are omega 3, probiotic and vitamin c + rose hips. I jog occasionally. My acne has gotten a lot better since then and Iβve had it for 6 months of TSW. Iβm wondering if my chalazions will go away once my inflammation goes away. Iβm not sure what else I can do Iβm scared the skin under my eye will be all wrinkly from it, it is already so thin!
I had a stye on my right eye about four and a half months ago. But it was gone within a week leaving no trace. And soon, just about 4 months ago i got a stye on my left eye. It kept getting really big for about 3/4 days and one morning when i woke up it was drained. I thought it would completely go away so i didn't seek any medical help back then instead surfed the internet about it. But after four months it's still here, its dry and smaller compared to what i had initially. It doesn't hurt but does feel like something's in there every once in a while and its kind of annoying too. Is there any way to get rid of it? Shall i go to a doctor? I have never had a stye before in my life. Also, it appeared when i was staying at an airbnb, could be dirty sheets? I've uploaded a picture for reference in the comments.Age

Iβm a senior in high school and I developed a chalazion on my upper right eyelid and I went to an eye doctor and got a steroid ointment and he directed me to use that and hot compresses. I did and it went away within a month. However, it looked awful and everyone and my school commented on it and it made me look awful. When it went away I was so happy. But just last week I developed a 2nd one on my bottom left eyelid and my doctor again is saying to just use the cream and hot compress. I hope that it will go away soon but literally the only part of my face that is shown to people is my eyes because of my mask, and of course thatβs the part of my body that decides to screw up. Now I have to go to school with this huge red lump under my eye. This condition has ruined my confidence and self esteem
Iβve had a stye on both eyes that developed into a chalazion. It lasted for many months I tried everything: oral antibiotics, drops, ointment, hot compresses. Nothing worked so I got surgery on both eyes. Now one eye still has a chalazion and the other eyelid is swollen. I have picture day in 2 days I NEED IT TO GO AWAY. please help.
Hi folks! Iβve been on this subreddit awhile now because my 3 year old has blepharitis. Very rare for kids to have it but he does. Thanks to advice found here weβve kept it under control but now we are dealing with a massive chalazion. It was infected so heβs been in oral antibiotics and eye ointment. The infection is gone but the chalazion is huge. He says it doesnβt hurt. Our ophthalmologist says he can operate or we can wait and see. For a kid though itβs general anesthesia. Has anyone else gone through this before? And thoughts or advice? Who has has their chalazion drained and would you recommend it? Any other pediatric bleph parents here?
Wondering if these red spots on my lid look familiar to anyone. I 'm seeing a new doctor on Tuesday after trying everything (and I do mean *everything*). Steroid ointment is the only thing that seems to work, but I realize that isn't an option to use indefinitely. (Just to confirm: I have been diagnosed with rosacea and blepharitis.) Warm compresses and erythromycin aren't helping with the pain and itching today. I'm at a loss re: what to do because I'm not exactly sure what they are. Would appreciate your thoughts/input. Understand only a doctor can diagnose definitively, but I am so grateful that this group exists.
Hi all,
I recently got yet another chalazion on my right eye close to my eyelashes. There's a very small bump left, but the eyelashes have fallen out where the infection was, leaving a hairless patch in the middle of my eye. I'm so down, this condition sucks so much. I would cry, but I don't want to risk getting another chalazion. Do these lost eyelashes grow back eventually? Any experiences?
I have chalazion surgery on the 20th of October, it's been a few weeks now, I definitely feel like the lump has lessened in size a little bit immediately following the surgery, but there's still a bit of a lump there.
It was on my lower eyelid, so maybe it will take longer to go down? I wasn't given any advice on how to make it go away completely. Should I keep hot compressing?
Seriously true, got the warm compresses and a Xanax, its relaxing.
I have a chalazion on my lower right eye eyelid for almost 4 weeks. (It will be 4 weeks next tuesday).
Ive been putting on lotion and hot compresses pretty much from the very beginning, but the hard lump is still there.
I have a few questions, if you could help me:
If you could please help me out and/or tell me your experience with your chalazion, i would truly appreciate it!
I get styes all the time. My eye doctor said to do hot compresses. Like basically an eye mask that is heated in the microwave. I have already tried an eye mask connected to USB. I not only still have the styes after about 6 weeks, I developed a new one while doing this treatment.
I also have never had this work in the past. Ever. When I look online, it looks like everyone says this is the answer but not a single person is like "Oh this is how it works for me every single time." So DID this ever work for anyone to remove a stye or chalazion? What is your experience? How long did it take? What did you do exactly?
I am starting getting a stye. I know that you should avoid wearing contact lenses, but unfortunately I don't have glasses at the moment. This is a very inconvenient moment for me to have a stye so I have decided to use oral amoxicillin to get rid of it faster. Stye is very small at the moment and might be internal as I can't see actual lump yet anywhere I just have pain and slight swelling of lower eye lid. My question is if I wear contact lenses for a few hours on a couple of days this week is there a serious health risk associated with it?
Did any of you guys have a chalazion removed, and what was the cost of that procedure? Which ophthalmologist do you all recommend?
Have insurance but would only cover visit, not procedure.
Hi so I have had a chalazion, first a stye on the upper right eyelid right on top of my eyelashes for over a month and was wondering if anyone knew if I could wear fake lashes placed on the inside of my upper lash line instead of outside on top of the chalazion. I went to a doctor that said to just wear it, however everyone online is saying to not wear eye makeup so I am getting mixed information.
Please let me know if anyone also has any tips on getting rid of it. I have tried everything including acv, tea bags, and warm compresses. I would like to avoid surgery as much as possible:)
Hi!
First of all, I apologise about my English, it's not my native language.
So, three months ago I developed a stubborn chalazion on my lower left eyelid. With conservative treatment - hot compresses, eyelid wipes, omega-3 fish oil, ointments and drops, etc. - it shrunk to a point it's now barely noticeable, just a small painless lump that I can only see if I stand like 5cm/2 inches from a mirror. My doctor told that me it was too small to bother with surgery, which I agreed.
Nevertheless, it hasn't shown any improvement (or worsening) on the last month and my doctor advised me to keep not wearing contact lenses (I'm quite blind and before developing the chalazion I used to wear dailies every day) until it's completely gone - which might take months or actually never happen.
The issue is, next week I will start attending capoeira classes, and it would be kind of tricky to do it with glasses. So my question is: do you think it would be ok to wear contacts for only a couple of hours, three days a week, or is it too risky? I would restrict my contact lenses use only to those classes.
Thanks in advance!
Getting my first chalazion (after a periodic history with styes) was a wakeup call to me. Ironically, I learned that I had blepharitis just two weeks prior.
Now that the chalazion is pretty much gone (just a hint of inflammation on my eyelid), I've started wearing contact lenses and makeup again. I did a lot of research (check my post history for some articles I shared) about how to avoid another chalazion, since I'm pretty sure it was caused by makeup.
Here are the changes I made:
My eyes feel very comfortable, and I think I'm on the right path here. In the past, I used to always find pieces of shimmer from my Urban Decay eyeliners stuck in my lashes in the morning, and I was pretty certain that it wasn't all that good for me (but the eyeliners are oh so pretty, of course).
Just using some gentle matte eyeshadows seems to be a nice way to enjoy makeup, especially since I like to wear it for work, 5 days a week. Mattes are a lot gentler, I think.
Hi guys, 21 y/o M, have a reasonably bad chalazion on the upper LE. It has gradually gotten larger and redder. Currently treating with antibiotics and heat packs with a light rub. Today it formed a couple of white dots right at the base of the eyelid. Was wondering if this is a good sign? Is this where it will drain eventually, or is it getting worse/spreading. It looks shocking, but isnβt super painful, only when touching it and isnβt obstructing vision etc. Thanks guys, really appreciate any thoughts!
Iβm trying to determine if this is a permanent scar that has made my eyelid slightly more swollen than the other, or if maybe everything hasnβt drained yet.
Iβve been doing the after care steps such as taking fish oil and warm compressions.
Iβm really hoping itβs not permanent. Has anyone had cases where the surgeon does something wrong and leaving the eyelid slightly enlarged forever?
I just had chalazion surgery and I have a few questions:
How long till the swelling goes away? Will it go back to normal and match the other eyelid?
But most importantly: There is some blood clots on the outside of the eyelid. Is that normal?
Thank you so much for you patience. This last 24 hours have been so rough!
