A list of puns related to "Bridgwater"
First time tryna drive out of Bridgwater and was looking to get onto Bishop but somehow how ended up on the Perimeter π. Why all the roundabouts?
Hello, Is there anybody who did a canine CT scan in Bridgwater Vet recently? How much was it? I asked for an estimate, but they refused to pass the cost. Thank you.
Before looking at their Wikipedia page I didn't realize who this team was!
For those who weren't following the league a few years ago, Yeovil Town Ladies were a stalwart club of the Championship but weren't seeming to be at the level of the WSL which was quite shown when the league shifted towards full professionalism in 2019. Yeovil went into administration in the 2018/19 season and were set for relegation to the Championship, but were unable to secure a 2nd division license and so they landed in the 3rd division.
The team went through a few name changes, from Yeovil Town Ladies to Yeovil Town Women (2019), and then to Yeovil United FC (2020). In March of this year Yeovil United merged with 9th tier men's side Bridgwater Town to form Bridgwater United.
For a team that has gone through a lot in the last few years, it's cool to see that hopefully there's finally some stability, even if it's under a new name. Also cool to see a team that in their final WSL season had trouble beating some Championship sides in League Cup, they beat a Championship side while playing in a tier below.
This is an audio drama from Grim & Mild (The company that produces Lore) and Lauren Shippen from the Bright Sessions. Focuses on a disappearance and weird happenings in the Massachusetts forests. 4 episodes in and Iβm loving it. The writing is good, the plot moves along at a good pace and the acting is good. Itβs got a few good sci-fi names in the cast too (Misha Collins, Nathan Fillion, Will Wheaton).
I get a lot of PNWS vibes from this and in many ways it seems like itβs managed to take what TBT and Tanis tried to do and fixed a lot of the issues. Anyone else listened to it so far? What do you think?
Not sure why this isnβt on the news but the Bridgwater TD was held up at gunpoint around 1pm today (July 15). No one was harmed but stay safe out there, folks.
Edit: they closed today and hope to open tomorrow but may be short staff due to trauma
After drunkenly attempting to kiss an unwilling woman, Henry Abbot drowned in a river outside the town of Bridgwater on September the 4th 1650. This is agreed upon in all four testimonies gathered by the local court a few days after the incident. Regarding other details, the testimonies either complement or contradict each other. As the verdict is not available (to my knowledge) and many details important to the case are missing, we might never find out the truth. Even so, these are the known facts.
Violent conflicts and unnatural deaths were familiar occurrences to people living in the town of Bridgwater on the Southwestern tip of England in 1650, In addition to being known for its bustling markets, the town was notorious for somehow always ending up becoming involved in the frequent military conflicts of the era. Just 4 years before the incident that ended in the death of Henry Abbot, the royalist forces of Bridgwater castle had been defeated by parliamentarians after extensive fighting in the middle of town as part of the English Civil War that ravaged the country. 25 years later, the Duke of Monmouth proclaimed himself king in Bridgwater before initiating the Monmouth rebellion, an insurrection that would ultimately fail. The aforementioned civil war was still ongoing at the time of the incident, but not anymore in close proximity to Bridgwater.
In the middle of these large-scale political happenings, Henry Abbot survived through basic farm-help work. Barely anything is known about him besides his actions on the 6th of September in 1650, actions that were described by several of his co-workers as well as the woman he assaulted. On that day, he had been tasked with reaping a field outside of Bridgwater together with a few acquaintances. They set out at 5 in the morning but were forced to return after encountering bad weather conditions. They returned to the house of a friend, where they spent the next few hours drinking beer before the weather improved. The rest of the group went back to the fields immideatly, but Henry stayed to drink a little while longer before joining the others. According to his co-worker Richard, before he had time to start reaping, Henry spotted a woman approaching. Most likely in an inebriated state, Henry proclaimed that he would go and kiss her. Richard heard Henry state to the woman that he had vowed to kiss her, to which she replied that ''he should not''. Another co-worker, Thomas, claims that the woman also stated that

It involves a search party for a missing boy in the forest who happened upon such a patch of earth. I'm just stuck between whether I want to set it in the Pine Barrens of New Jersey which has it's fair share of sudden disappearances or the Bridgewater Triangle, which in addition to being in Lovecraft Country also has a host of Paranormal phenomena tied to it. Which should I go with?
Kind of a repost since my last title question had obvious issues. But the same basic idea. DJ Moore is obviously talented and is on the field for almost every snap for Carolina but obviously his year has been pretty weak. I've seen post on here contributing that to the fact Bridgewater throws the majority of his passes short and to the middle of the field and Moore runs long wide routes. Do any of you Moore owners think that his stock will rise if Bridgewater sits this upcoming week. Or do any of you plan on starting him?
