Hello all, I am a native Hindi speaker and am looking to learn to speak Bengali. I was wondering if any of you may have suggestions for teachers for online group or private lessons. I would also appreciate if you have any other suggestions or resources that I may be able to use as a beginner.
Edit: I wanted to clarify that I do not live in Kolkata or India currently. My husband is from Kolkata and I would really love to be able to communicate with his family who only speak Bengali language.

I have heard Assamese and Bengali and they both sound alike, even their written scripts look identical to me. Is there actually a difference or am I just dumb?
