A list of puns related to "Oriya"
Just catching up on the podcasts now, and up to Ep 97. Was thinking it'd be interesting for Sentry to go and find some more guardians to heal for the fight against Callus (Kallus? Stupid sexy Strabane? Anyway...) and have Rhi play as Oriya for a bit and go find her brother. A way to repay her for all she's done for the party.
Might be a bit of a diversion from the main plot right now I suppose, might be a cool follow-up later down the line instead kinda like Lightfall's Descent?
Oriya Marius
-Position: Midfielder
-Play style: All-rounder
-Fitness: Reliable
Oriya is a player i would really appreciate, hard working and always fit. Her lack of specialty means she wont stand out. That's why i adore players like her because they're underappreciated, when they deserve so much more praise. Someone that is tactically fluid and willing to adjust, And an immaculate injury record that some only dream of. Its sadly not all positive, her talents are apparent to me. But most systems require a specialized tool, for instance preferring the scalpel or the hammer. She can fulfill those roles and many more, as she is a Swiss army knife of a player. Again great to have on the bench, in case of injury or suspensions. She could play for every team, the top teams would use her as a squad player and teams below that she'd start every match. A fan favorite sure, but sadly not considered ''world class''. Its a real shame that no one builds their team around a work horse.
Being so versatile in a time where every player is branded with a role and position, she escapes this somewhat. But if i have to name her ''best'' role it would be a number 8, it suits her versatility. She's physically strong and quick which is a big plus for a role that requires a lot of moving about. Also a great squad player, able to fit in as a defender across the back line. Further forward could work, although a bit unconventional. If you ask something of her tactically she'd deliver plus more, her work ethic is impeccable. You do need to point her in the right direction. Tactically aware she might be, giving her an open role or little instructions is detrimental. She wants to do more, a big work list doesn't scare her, unlike some players that thrive on open tasks. without instructions she would still run and graft like the best of them, if a bit aimless.
Being a jack of all trades is good, she lacks any real weak sides to her game. But also means she doesn't have any inhuman technical skills either. She does stand out physically (strength, speed, jumping, agility, endurance). And leads the team when necessary, perhaps a vice captain occasionally taking the armband. Her ability to arrive late in the box (joining the attack late unmarked) or shoot from distance means she contributes in goals every now and then. Defensively no slouch either, using her physical prowess to stop attackers who might think twice in challenging her. She sometimes gets the crowd going which c
