A list of puns related to "Behavioralism"
Iβve played a lot of killer and survivor today and Iβm trying to have fun with the event but every game so far has been campers, flash clicking t-bags and flat out spirits and iri addons all day. Iβm challenged and Iβve worked hard the past months trying to overcome my physical problems and Iβve become decent at the game. But the past 18 games have been so painful and Iβm getting sad and feeling like Iβm worthless because no matter if I bring sacrifice cakes ever match and try to make it fair so everyone gets points during the event.
I know Iβm never going to be average at the game but at least Iβm nice enough to let others play and benefit from the event. Iβm disappointed at everyone that is ruining the experience and celebration for everyone else. Such a toxic behavior (pun well intended) and by far the worst players Iβve ever seen in any game.
When I was around 14-16, I hated walking the dog. Mostly because I was a lazy little shit, but also because as much as he is a good boy, heβs massive, and very excitable, so he tended to pull whoever was walking him, hard. One time he pulled me so hard that I fell flat on my face. Another time, he accidentally managed to slip out of his collar and I had to chase him down the street when he ran after a squirrel. Having to carry a smelly bag full of dog poop didnβt help.
However, the reasons I continued to do this was:
(A), I was the only one who could do it most of the time because my dad is only home on weekends due to work, the weather would make my mom sick, my sister had some severe back problems, and my brother was the procrastinating type (to say the least).
(B) I donβt know if his previous owner had trained him to do this, but Ace would NOT poop or pee indoors. Instead, heβd walk up to you and make these whining noises whenever he had to go. I didnβt wanna make him hold it in, because I know how painful that can be for both human and animal.
So, whenever I had to walk him, if the lawn he pooped on already had some dog poop on it, Iβd just leave it there. My logic was that if there was already some dog shit on the lawn, then the owner of the house obviously didnβt care.
That got nipped in the bud real quick when one of the other neighbors, this black bald dude in sunglasses and a beer in his hand who witnessed my shitty behavior (pun intended) called me out from outside his garage.
He yelled βI hope you donβt plan on doing that to me!β
I, a little bit confused, nervously replied βI donβt think theyβd mind all that muchβ
He kinda sat there bewildered, before calling back βSo, if someone just leaves dog shit on your lawn, you wouldnβt care?β
Being the lazy bastard I was, I answered truthfully βNot really, no...β
He shook his head. βYou got some nerve...β
Me, realizing that Iβd fucked up, tried to backpedal βI-I can go back and pick it up!β
The dude just waved me off and said βJust get that dog outta here, man...β
Defeated, I walked home. I still cringe about that interaction to this day, and Iβm glad he called me out. I didnβt tell either of my parents, but I internalized what he said, and decided to just suck it up.
That said though, I didnβt walk in that part of the neighborhood again
Okay, I am looking for help so please don't rip me to shreds.
I live in a quiet neighborhood of a city, where there is more foot traffic than car traffic and a lot of people walk their dogs down the middle of the road during non-peak hours since the sidewalks are narrow and sometimes treacherous, especially when covered in snow. My dog has taken to peeing/pooping in the middle of the road. In my neighborhood, it's not the end of the world since there aren't many cars. However, this morning we were walking to work (my pup comes almost every day, and we walk through downtown to get there). We were crossing an intersection and my dog started sniffing intensely as if he was going to go #2. I tried to re-direct him to the curb, but he was so stubborn I couldn't get him there. He proceeded to take the largest dump, in the middle of an intersection, in downtown Boston.
What can I do to curb this behavior (pun very much intended!) He is very well behaved he just seems to like the pavement!
Any advice is appreciated - and again, I am just a new dog parent doing my best here!
I'm working on a story arc with Jack, but drama isn't one of my strong points writing. This is what I have so far for the βinheritanceβ story arc.
Story arc centers around Punβs family reunion. Punβs grandparents on her motherβs side, who are rather wealthy, will be visiting Canterlot. All the family in the area (Pun, Marigold, Charity, Cordovan and Marigoldβs mother Social Butterfly will be there, as there is some competition among their many children about who gets what in the will. Pun drags Jack along for support, and some drama erupts as Social Butterfly attempts to put down Pun in front of the grandparents in an attempt to make her own daughter (and thus herself) look better. Character attitudes: Marigold runs a successful business she built from the ground up and has no interest in the grandparentβs money, and is embarrassed by her motherβs behavior. Punβs mission in life wouldnβt change if she had that money, so sheβs not interested in it either. Iβd like to see Jack having some interaction with the grandparents that has them thinking highly of Charity (punβs mother). Charity is a bit oblivious to the inheritance being an issue, Cordovan is keeping out of the argument, Jack is the outsider.

This post is just going to be an organized dump to roleplaying in general as well as some specific information regarding Danganronpa character portrayals. There's going to be both general roleplaying etiquette and formatting at the beginning of this post, as well as more specific details in regards to Class Trials and roleplaying the Danganronpa fandom in the latter sections. The purpose is simple. It is simply meant to help you gain information and maybe learn a few things about roleplaying in general, or about characters you didn't necessarily think much about.
General Roleplaying Business
I suppose we need to get started with some obvious rules of roleplaying. Some of these arenβt exactly Class Trial specific and could probably be better suited towards side games, though Iβll list a few common ones here anyway regardless of their function.
Out of Character (OOC) does not equal In Character (IC)
This is a fairly obvious rule, and being in character is actually one of the Class Trial Rules. Specifically, Rule 6. This is actually really important on a number of reasons. The two specifics that Iβll address. The first is that sometimes hosts are counting on a certain character to act a certain way. For example, a Fuyuhiko that acts like a Mikan is going to be very strange unless somehow contextualized by a motive. Perhaps theyβve also got a certain idea for how that character fits into their trial. Perhaps Fuyuhiko is a necessary aggressive rebuttal character in the trial? The second issue is that you as the player are not your character. This is actually very important in trials as well as side games. Specifically for Danganroleplay, thereβs a fine line between being in character and practically playing the meta. For example, though perhaps youβve figured out the case 5 parts ago, you canβt just suddenly show up in the middle of the conversations and pop out a CI that discusses parts no character in the trial should theoretically know. Iβd say this includes time released evidence too. If youβre withholding the last piece of evidence and suddenly introduce it in the form of a CI, thatβs not exactly logical in the class trial setting or in regards to IC-ness. Finally, donβt be angry if people are disagreeing with you in character. This doesnβt necessarily have any reflection on you as a player, rather that other peopleβs characters may have a reason to disagree with your c

Because of this, you learn a lot of very bad habits that work great for survival, but very poorly for getting out of poverty. Several things come to mind for example: payday loans, buying non bulk items, quick fixes and cravings, impulse purchases, budgeting, the list is big.
So in order to break out of the poverty situation, you have to re-learn these rules, and to do so you have to re-write your behaviors to make them functional and fitting to follow the rule.
The two concepts I want to introduce is the idea of inevitability, and functional behavior replacement.
Studies show that when you have a consequence that is inevitable, you will put a behavior into extinction much more easily than if it was intermittent. To put that into an example, imagine you want to stop playing the slot machines, and you have the choice of playing a machine that pays out sometimes, vs a machine that never pays out. In this example, you will continuously be playing the slot machine that does pay out sometimes, hoping for the big win, while you will very quickly quit playing the other one.
How does this relate to your finances? Imagine everything you do having an inevitable consequence, that you follow through. Everytime you treat yourself to a nail-day when you shouldnt, you HAVE to put $5 into a jar. Every morning you wake up you HAVE to view your financial budget sheet, even if you already know by heart what it says. Inevitable consequences is a huge key in reforming your proper behaviors and helps you remove your destructive behaviors.
The idea of functional behavior replacement is simple- every behavior serves a purpose, and to remove the behavior you should replace it with one that serves the same function. Why? If you don't, that need will manifest in different ways. Why do people on diets consistently fail to maintain it? A lot of it has to do with "I can't do this, I cant eat that." Your body will continuously crave what its missing until you crack. But what if instead of just removing something from your diet, you replace it instead? Instead of eating a piss poor made salad that has nothing in it, what if you were to learn how to make a good tasting salad thats still healthy? It makes it that much easier to maintain your diet. Of course if you don't you might just end up buying a large pizza all to yourself

Apparently, psychologists are using what we have learned about learning and behavior to reshape society in our own images. The OP points to France as "proof" that deconstructionists such as psychologists are destroying civilization as we know it, and that men need to fight back and resume their place on the throne (DAE miss the 1950s?!?).
Maybe it's because I'm not part of the Psychology-Illuminati Alliance, but I'm not aware of any coordinated efforts to recondition the behavior of an entire population. We may use our findings on behaviorism to advocate for issues such as corporal punishment, but nothing like you would see in something like Bioshock. "Psychologists" sound more like a convenient scapegoat for far right conservatives to rave about "decline of society".
Bear with me as I'm not reddit savvy. But one topic of discussion that I feel like I see a lot ( especially on booktok), is when it comes to books with characters who exhibit problematic behaviors (i.e. they're racist, homophobic, ableist, etc) it's so common to automatically connect those behaviors done by fictional characters to the author. As an example, the book Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell has instances where Eleanor (and another character whose name I can't remember) makes racists comments about Park the other main character who is Korean. Now, not only have readers decided Eleanor racist for making those comments (which I can understand), but now Rainbow Rowell is racist for writing a character who has made a racist comment.
Now, I haven't read anything by Rainbow Rowell in who knows how many years, nor do I know anything about the woman, so by all means she could be racist and I just not know. But this is just one of many examples that I've seen where a character's disagreeable actions are immediately seen as a reflection of the author.
I'm not sure if I've explained myself very well here, but I would love to you know your guys' thoughts on this. Does a character's problematic behavior make the author problematic? At what point are accusations like this accurate? Why are some unable to separate a character's behaviors from the author?
She has no class.
His latest interview discussing things makes it clear he doesn't understand his responsibility/culpability. Link included. Having been a metal head my life, attended shows and been injured, it's astounding this played out the way it did. Artists like Randy Blythe faced the consequences of their crowds getting out of control head on, while Travis Scott is "trying to understand how to prevent this from happening". Maybe try not inciting riots at your shows to start?
So, I have this hobby of tracking shares Fidelity Lends ("Shortable Shares"). Last time I noticed an anomaly I Posted about it about it and sure enough Fidelity went to 0 during Market Hours.
Today, I am seeing another bit of odd behavior in that Fidelity has 0 to lend as of 06:05AM up until current (08:32AM). Normally, by now some shares have been returned and borrowing commences.
For me, this indicates two things:
DRS has been working (namely since they have not been back to 1MM Lendable Shares) in a month or more.
Something is brewing
Edit:
P.S. Thanks to u/LeftHandedWave for assistance with Reddit Tables

I really dont feel like this needs to be explained. I used to love anime when i was a child but after a few years it has really gone downhill (or im just noticing this which honestly, is probably more likely). I dont even feel comfortable watching it anymore tbh
I'm not going to pretend to be an expert in options, but I know that the topic has been taboo in this sub... And for no good reason as well. There are safe options strategies that can and should be discussed in our fight for the MOASS. Every path should be sought out. Charles Gradante in the post recently suppressed on Reddit pretty much validates that it was Call options on GME that mooned the price. Go watch it if you haven't... It gives me chills.
If you want MOASS as bad as I do, you'll seek out all paths to it. Price is extremely low right now which means options are VERY cheap. With the upcoming price action in January (FTDs due), we could very much see a squeeze in January. I know enough about options that you'd want to buy expiration dates after the expected price movement so maybe Feb or March expiration dates might be worth noting.
I am in no way against DRS... But I'm not against call options either. Heck DFV was all about calls and exercising options when they went in the money. I think it's an absolute shame call options aren't being talked about as openly as it should. I'd like to change that here in this sub.
Thoughts?
...his response was rough.
I'm honestly sick of it. If you don't want to do something that severe, let us vote-kick the player if the system detects the griefing behavior to confirm. I'm so tired of babies ruining games. Give them increasing timed bans starting at a week. We already know you can track their alternate accounts so you can pass these timed bans to their alts. Stop letting this toxic behavior go unpunished. It's honestly a joke at this point. Letting us deny wards that are blocking camps is just an example of a band-aid solution that doesn't address the core issue. These people will find a way to grief the game, and they need to be punished for it.
Psychological safety makes or breaks teams. Aggressive language should therefore be avoided at all time and actively eliminated from corporate cultures. The tip above helps flagging that insults are not accepted in the workplace.
