After the success of Gully Boy, Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt reunited on Karan Johar’s directorial, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The duo have been shooting for it over the last few months, and it is expected to be wrapped up by the month of March. While COVID might change the schedule, it’s tentatively looking to release during the Valentine's Day 2023 weekend. And now, Pinkvilla has exclusively learnt that right after calling it a wrap on Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, Ranveer and Alia will get into the prep mode for director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much awaited period drama, Baiju Bawra.
“The prep work on Baiju Bawra is going on side by side with the post production work of SLB’s next, Gangubai. The team is planning to take it on floors by mid-2022 with a start to finish marathon schedule on humongous studios. Ranveer and Alia are locked to play the two leads in the film, and another leading lady is expected to come on board for a key role,” revealed a source close to the development.
The movie will be shot over a period of next 7 to 8 months, in multiple studios and the team is already working towards designing grand sets to transport the audience to the era gone bye. “Alia and Ranveer aside, two more renowned actors – one male, one female – will come on board the project and the casting work is currently in progress,” the source added. Initially, the filmmaker was in talks with Deepika Padukone to play the role of Dacoit in this period drama, however, we are yet to know the exact status around DP’s involvement in the film. While SLB was keen to have her on board, he was yet to get a final go ahead.
We are yet to get any clarity on the cast apart from Ranveer and Alia. “We shall have a clearer picture by this summer once the acting workshops begin in full swing. Both Ranveer and Alia will be training extensively as a part of their character prep,” the source signed off. Baiju Bawra will be the fourth collaboration of Ranveer with Bhansali after Ram Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmavat. It would be the second film for Alia with the director after the soon to be released, Gangubai. After Baiju Bawra, Ranveer is expected to commence work on director Shankar's magnum opus. There's also a Kabir Khan film in the discussion stage, but one hears, plans on the same have been put on hold for now. Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more.

I would really like to try it but I'm not sure where to look.
I wonder if anyone else found this music really off-putting, like it didn't match the video, the toning of the scenes, and like it was edited in post production and not well integrated... To me it felt as though it changed the original intention of how it was supposed to sound and feel.

I don't doubt that Robinhood's clearing firm Apex Corporation was under massive stress / risk of short sellers not being able to cover their positions with $GME's price above $400 and only trending upwards. Hell, Interactive Brokers Chairman openly said that on CNBC here.
However by forcing their customers to not be able to buy $GME, and also allow them to sell $GME and actively close positions of users who artificially were forced into a margin call by MMs trading the stock down on low volume is disgusting.
They KNEW that by allowing users to not be able to buy $GME, but to be able sell $GME, MMs would to take advantage of the sell pressure & low volume on the stock in order to tank the price. They KNEW that some of their users would panic sell or be liquidated by margin calls from the artificially decrease in price by MMs from $450 to $150 after the halt. They also KNEW that once the price dropped enough, due to manufactured sell pressure, shorts could cover enough of their positions so that the stress on clearance houses would be eased and all order in the world of HFTs would be restored.
If Vlad & Baiju were actually looking out for their users, and not their actual customers the HFTs, they would have restricted all purchases & sales of Gamestop stock or placed a 1-2 halt on all trading of $GME. Clearly, they did not do that and it shows who

Both Deepika and SLB have done multiple meetings to discuss the film and the character and the talks are in the advanced stage at the moment. The paperwork is yet to be done and things will be locked once both the stakeholders mutually agree on certain aspects. More than Gangubai Kathiawadi and Heera Mandi, it’s Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Baiju Bawra, that has been part of discussions for a long now. The much-talked-about project has been in news for a couple of years. Several big names joined the party and left, without making it to the final list. As per the recent report, Ranbir Kapoor was set to reunite with SLB. But now, Kartik Aaryan’s name is coming to light.
As per the latest update from an insider, the film currently has names like Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone and Ajay Devgn, associated with it (not confirmed though). The latest to join the list was Ranbir Kapoor. Now, it’s learned that RK is in double mind to do a film with SLB, with whom he doesn’t share a good rapport. Not just that, RK even has a number of signed projects in his kitty.
A report in Bollywood Hungama reads, “Ranbir has expressed his confusion to Bhansali and the team as well. He is not sure of Baiju Bawra and with another Dharma project in his kitty; RK doesn’t seem to be keen anymore on working with SLB again. Not many know that he did not have a great experience working with him during Saawariya and they have never done a film after that. So it’s most likely that Ranbir is going to opt-out of the project, although nothing was ever locked on papers.”
Now, if some other sources are to be believed, Kartik Aaryan is in the race to bag a lead in Baiju Bawra as he has been spotted several times at SLB’s office. However, some insiders have dismissed this report. As of now, nothing can’t be confirmed!

His music director Naushad would compose the songs for the album based on classical ragas and also record the classical vocals of Ustad Amir Khan and Pandit DV Paluskar for the movie’s Battle Royale. Meena Kumari would win best actress and Naushad would win best music director in the first inaugural Filmfare awards. Last year, Sanjay Leela Bhansali made double announcements. While he signed Alia Bhatt for Gangubai Kathiawadi, he also revealed that he's making Baiju Bawra. Ever since he made it official, there have been several speculations about the same. Pinkvilla exclusively revealed to you that Ranbir Kapoor has been locked to play one of the primary leads in Baiju Bawra.
While the film will mark a reunion for the Sawaariya actor-director duo, we hear that there will be two leading ladies and another A-list actor in Baiju Bawra, too.
Our informer reveals, "It's a story of four characters - two heroes and two heroines. For both the heroines, SLB has decided to go with his current favourites Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt.
He has narrated the script to both of them and they have both loved their parts. In all probabilities, Alia will be paired opposite Ranbir's Baiju in the film, stepping into Meena Kumari's shoes from the original.
Deepika will play the other female lead, that of dacoit Roopmati essayed by Kuldip Kaur in the 1952 drama.
Both the actors will be Ranbir's romantic interests in the period saga and have shown a keen interest in the project. If this materialises, this will be a big casting coup for sure." This will also be Deepika and Alia's first film together. We reached out to the filmmaker's spokesperson but they didn't respond to our texts.
The source further adds, "The movie revolves around the characters of Baiju and Tansen and the conflict between the two. For Baiju's character, Ranbir has almost been finalised. The paperwork is yet to be done but SLB has already discussed the film with the actor and he's liked the script.
For Tansen's role, they need a much older actor and they are already in talks with two big superstars to come on board."
