TLDR: The train wreck that is China Evergrande keeps limping along in an increasingly pathetic yet strangely entertaining way. This time trading has been halted in Hong Kong (again) as the company was just ordered by the Danzhou city government to demolish 39 brand new apartment buildings within 10 days due to building code violations. The Buildings are located on the 'prestigious' Ocean Flower Island project into which Evergrande has sunk $25 billion so far. Like a bad episode of Jerry Springer: beyond awful and you wish they would just stop yet somehow you just can't look away...

Ok, so overlooking the fact that somehow this company even still exists at this point, one can't help but be impressed with the capacity of Hui Ka Yan's company for annihilating wealth.
As the company struggles to figure out a way to pay hundreds of thousands of migrant workers before they return home for the Chinese New year, now they have a new problem. How to tear down 39 brand new buildings in 10 days or less.
The buildings are located on the lavish artificial island resort known as Ocean Flower which was meant to be the crown jewel of Evergrande's development portfolio. The project had already been saddled with problems for years after causing damage to coral reefs and devastating the Oyster population in the region. After numerous govt officials were sacked for corruption for allowing Evergrande to bypass many building and development regulations, now the company has been ordered to destroy the buildings just prior to completion.

Coincidentally this order comes just a month after the city government warned Evergrande that they would not allow the company to use property on Ocean Flower Island to pay off bad debts elsewhere. It seems the City of Danzhou didn't want to be left holding the bag when the company flopped and these buildings started falling apart. Well apparently Evergrande ignored the order and instead the city just decided to order the company to blow up the buildings instead. Funny how that works.

I was wondering about something. What if the 'Protagonist Nation' try to build an artificial island? We already have an artificial Island in our world
I remember seeing post about Elysia world map scale 4.0 send by tinmar09, I saw the USA being connected to Alaska. So i wonder if we could build one of those.
What are things would happen if we try to build one Just like what we did in Dubai and Palm Islands, and how would the New Worlders will react?.
We know that the New World ocean is soooo vast, With the correct calculation and considerate planning, it would'nt hurt the Marine Wildlife and the New world Natives would it? What do you guys think?
PS: I say "Protagonist Nation" cuz i completely drop the original NHS, and read the fanfiction such as Summoning America, NHS Kai, etc.
Iβve seen China do it (in questionable territory, even). They create artificial sandbars/islands for whatever reason, perhaps for oil? Or idk.
My question is how is that even possible? How do they create a stable enough piece of land in the ocean? Was there like a sandbar beneath the water before, as in, the sandbar was there but just not above water so they just built on top of that? If so, how do you even get the sand to stay in place when you try and βfillβ more of the sandbar submerged in water? I have so many questions.

Hi everyone, this is Adam Ant - owner/designer of Angel Island.
We'll be having one of our Town Invasions Friday, September 24th at 5PM Pacific, 8PM Eastern.
I don't usually announce these events here on reddit, but this one will be different!
I created new mobiles (NPC monsters) from scratch. Each mobile is unique and will drop unique loot.
The AI is all new too. We have some advanced AI on our monsters (not just more hit points, lol).
One particularly interesting element of this AI is that our mobiles can navigate the entire map. We can for instance spawn a creature in Skara Brea and it will find its way to the Yew moongate without ever getting lost, hung up, or otherwise stranded. (That's actually really hard to do from an engineering standpoint in a way that is not CPU expensive.)
Our Town Invasions use this AI. Mobiles are spawned far away from the objective (in this case Brittain) and swarm through the forests and across deserts to reach their goal.
The Town crier announces this impending doom and rallies Britain's citizens to defend our fair city.
I won't go into the actual NPC's involved in this invasion until after the event as it would give too much away.
If you've wondered what makes Angel Island special, this event will be such a demonstration.
Come make a character and hang out at the West Britain and watch the event unfold.
