A list of puns related to "Antispam"
I've just released my re-written AntiSpam package for python discord bots and I couldn't be prouder.
I was inspired to create this package a little over a year ago when I saw that js had an antispam package and python did not, and so I made one. There were issues, but with the help of my userbase, I've managed to create a simple system that is more performant than the previous version (by up to 150%, see below) and has an easily extendable plugin system with most base cases built-in.
Here's are some numbers I ran a while back, I am yet to profile this release. Might do that tomorrow.https://imgur.com/a/Ugf8ZMV
Hopefully, this spurs a few of you to use it, or at least take a look and as always. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Edit, thought it would add the link. So here it is:

TLDR: new engine now allows matching beyond just Lua built-in patterns and this allowed to load π©πͺ German words into all previously created patterns. Addon effectivity on German services is now greatly improved. Any new and old pattern data collected in any language automatically improves detection in all supported languages.
You can get it here: https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/sr13-antispam
Some time ago I've announced my new anti-boost spam addon. After working on it for a few months database grown to several hundreds (and close to thousand) patterns and I've observed that many spam lines predictably follow similar structure, often differing with only one "anchor" word: i.e. "selling some boost for gold" vs. "wts some boost for gold".
Anyone who used Lua patterns in other spam blocking addons or just programming in Lua knows that they're pretty simple and don't have all the features of more powerful regular expression engines, so you can't just write pattern like "(wts|selling) some boost for gold". I've also considered that after Blizzard releases new raid in 9.1, number of patterns will easily double because for each 9.0 raid pattern I'll add a copy covering new raid.
So to handle all that I've improved backend generator that I use to compile pattern data - it now breaks patterns into small tokens and glues them together with some imperative Lua code into a tree-like structure. It allows me to match several alternatives at any point of pattern and thus to pack all similar patterns together for great improvement in both storage space and match speed. Spam blocking is now about 20 times faster and will no longer grow in proportion to total amount of data. This new data was released in v22 on 2021-03-26.
Around that time I've received some encouraging reports from German users that even without special support they've seen chat became noticeably cleaner with addon thanks to patterns aimed at language-neutral triggers, so I've checked their reports and paid a visit to some servers myself to find that German spam is pretty much the same lines from same people except some words swapped from English to German. So I've simply got "alternatives matching" feature I've just made and added German equivalents to each English word group - e.g. "selling = verkauft". Thus entire pattern database is now automagically works on German servers as well and it doesn't matter where I get new spam reports fro

Confused? Well, let me explain: this email is a google docs file crated by the scammers to appear like a email, once they created the docs, all they did was attributing the doc file to me (and possibly a lot other people). When they did this, the email slipped straight through Google's antispam system. It's a trojan horse!
This is a pretty clever tactic to be honest. What they lose in aesthetics, they gain reliability. The email is pretty ugly and it's pretty obvious for most of us it's s scam, but remember: we're not the target, people have falen for phishing that are even less convincing than this one, having a tool to reach these people by effectively disarming the antispam system is pretty powerful stuff.
EDIT : I place the edit here so that anybody looking for a feedback/possible solution finds it first.
So a little feedback, after a lot of investigation, random erratic behaviour from zlconfigd, rsyslog, AS/AV etc., I migrated this server back to CentOS7.... And it just started to work as expected. Zimbra 8.8.15 and CentOS7 seems to be the key. Do not use CentOS8.
I did not move the /opt/Zimbra as recommended by the wiki. It seemed to me it was a bad way to do it as I feared possible incompatibilites and this kind of shit as a lot has changed from centOS7 to CentOS8
What I did insteadwas installing a clean CentOS7 server with the same hostname/different IP, same config, installed zimbra, and migrated domains, accounts, password hashes, alias, signatures, distribution lists + memberships and mailbox content. (Zmprov to collect + rsync so drop all that on the newe server)
When all was in place and correctly imported, I changed the old IP to the new IP in the DNS record and it just started to work alright. (after some time due to DNS replication)
If anybody needs help, feel free to ask. Although now, I know my next mail server will not be a Zimbra server... Probably going with iRedmail + rainloop.

Hi.
I'm currently facing a few problems with a 10 days old installation. Centos8 / zimbra Foss 8.8.15. IMAP/SMTP only.
This server is working quite well for the most part but the company works in the medical research field.
They use drugs, drug names, experimentation protocols in their mails everyday and a lot of the terms in their professional languages tend to be blocked by antispams. That's for the first problem.
Another problem I have is that some mails (internal or external) disappear f I'm inbox and go directly to the deleted elements (no the recycle bin and only recoverable from the webmail).
They are not even tagged as [SPAM]...
No sync on mobile device. The clients are MSoutlook 2016, Apple Mail and that's all but that seems unrelated as it also happens to accounts that are exclusively used from the webmail.
Regarding this issue, some of the users told me they were reading a mail from the webmail when it suddenly disappeared (same, recovered from deleted elements not visible in the recycle bin)
I have been searching since day one, disabled the AS/AV, disabling scoring check from amavisd. Activated spamlover at the domain.... Still happens.
I'm sorry to bother you all with that but if any of yo

Besides some basic age/karma requirements for posts, we're instituting a review if a comment or post gets 2 reports, and certain words (hodl, stonks, π) will get a comment removed, hopefully.
Submissions and most comments are on a mod approval basis temporarily and if we're unavoidably not sitting on the toilet ready to approve your post, it might take a while.
Let us know if there's problems or if the rules don't seem to be working right and we'll take a look at it.

Hi guys!
I just configured an outgoing policy that has just a few features enabled in the antispam profile, as we "trust" the internal email accounts. But lately, I have been wondering what would happen if I had a compromised email account that is being used to send outgoing spam. So the question is, what features in antispam profile should I configure to avoid/detect this behavior?
Google Recaptcha works alright about 75% of the time. For some client sites, it will work just fine, while for others will continue to get bombarded with Spam regardless of the integration V2 or V3. The spam that gets through is not cleverly worded spam messages, it can be complete garbage emails that get through. Ive tried using Honeypot but have not found a good other option. Any other methods out there that ya'll have seen to be effective?
Hey, I'm looking for an AntiSpam plugin that suits an anarchy server. I wanna allow people to send links but have them auto muted for like a minute if they spam too much of the same shit. Since many clients have an option to put a random string at the end of a message some plugins just don't work... Any solutions?
I'm willing to put forth any work that doesn't require money to work. I'll host it via heroku or something similar from a GitHub page or repository. Open source would be preferable.
Id like to create some transport rules based on information in this header. Im getting somewhat conflicting answers on google searches. One post says that the antispam info (and thus this header info) doesnt process until after transport rules are run. Most other websites say it can be used.
Does anyone know if this header can be used to process emails in transport rules?
Antispam email aliases are often not accepted when registering. So, when embracing a service, one must test it with a number of test domains to make sure that on average the email will work with sign-ons
Do you have a strategy for this? Some reference sites you use to test whether the chosen service is blacklisted?
Last week the amount of spam hitting our network increased massively. We currently use the Mailfilter/Antispam of our Sophos UTM firewall (Which will be replaced in 2021 or 2022, possibly with a pfsense based firewall). a few mails also got through, earning us a lot of additional tickets (around 5/h) and someone elevating it to the IT security dude (which I don't really like, because I feel like he is not competent in his job) creating even more unnecessary work. We already were trying to slap fixes onto the mailfilter, constantly distracting doesn't make it faster.
Since we are a Hospital, we legally aren't allowed to have our data processed outside of our premises (so no cloud solutions), and I am currently looking for an useable upgrade for the mailfilter. As Mailserver we are using a couple of Exchange servers.
I'm pretty sure everybody sees flood of boost spam on big servers nowadays. I've looked around at several forums and here on reddit and couldn't find a suitable solution, so I decided to start my own addon.
What I wanted:
So I've recently stated my own pattern-based chat filter anti-boost spam addon named "SR13-AntiSpam" and put it on CurseForge: https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/sr13-antispam.
You're welcome to try it. If you use something else and wonder what's better - then why not use both? My addon and pretty much every other chat filter addon I know uses Blizzard's built-in filtering framework that allows unlimited amount of filters to work on every line.
If you interested in checking how much it blocks (my chat goes pretty much 100% blue if I turn on "spam highlight" mode in prime time) or suggesting new spam to block - there are instructions for all that in description on CF.
I have a very hatefull spam attack on my number. Spamers call for 2-3 sec and then... nothing.
Only missed calls with advertising after I call back. Really devils.
I have an idea of task :
I think %Ctime is the solution but actually not fully understand how it works.
