A list of puns related to "Adwords"
These were very surface driven. Not sure if I am still too confident in doing ads. Is there any advanced training anyone can seek out. I did see Google Analytics Academy certification. Would love to hear your thoughts.
TIFU by testing Google Adwords.
Someone was complaining about how hard it is to get people to visit their website.
I basically told them they are full of it and to proove the point I'd make a company and show them how you can get work with a little elbow grease.
In a few hours I registered a domain, easy to say, quick to type, catchy in the mind, and set up a company page. Then I linked it to google maps and set up Google Adwords as a test.
Here's where I fucked up. I don't know how to use Google Adwords.
Not totally understanding what I was doing I set up adwords- just testing the keywords.
I was just testing the options, never meant to go live with it.
the test budget was set at $10 a day, but the adwords became activated and did not turn off how it was supposed to.
I found a keyword that was $2.09 per click or CPM (gibberish words I didn't know)
I linked a number to the account,
bear in mind there is no company set up and no reason for the domain to exist. it's just a placeholder.
12.9K IMPRESSIONS.
158 CLICKS.
GOD I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY BLOODY CALLS.
and a nice fat bill. :(
TL:DR
made company to prove a point. got flooded with callers.
I recently started running some ads on my Google Ads account, I had not touched the account in about two years.
I was immediately given a suspension for egregious violation. I have no idea why? I searched around and seems itβs somewhat common.
I was thinking I would just use an agency to run my ads instead. But it seems most agencyβs just manage their clients AdWords account. They donβt actually run the ads on their account, is my understanding of this correct?
Besides making a new account are there any alternatives Iβm not thinking of?
I've recently been put in charge of setting up our google adwords campaigns. Is it better to unpause a past campaign and update the keywords, text and images or is it better to duplicate it and update all the contents. I've been told if i unpause a campaign, google will keep the learnings from that campaign and will optimize faster than duplicating and starting a new campaign.
In GA my ROAS column will say a campaign has 450%, but in Adwords my "Conv. value / Cost" column is 3.5
Which do you find more likely to be accurate? I know there are discrepancies between GA & adwords, but is it normal for one to be off by 100% or so?
Hello,
I'm wondering if publishers who are using ad refresh are actually declaring this in GAM? We do against a 45-second lazy load in view refresh. As a result, we don't get any AdWords revenue. Is this expected?
From what I can see, quite a lot of major publishers do refresh yet AdWords doesn't appear to buy this inventory. Presumably, if most of the top publishers did a form of ad refresh, then AdWords would have to change policy as the pool of quality inventory is reduced? or are they happy to let it slide? Are there penalties for not declaring?
I just lost Β£150 . Paid into account as have to giving 2 days as their old shite system makes you. I left a campaign enabled ( unknowingly) from last year.
Then last hour I get account exhausted email.
So on paper it's my fault , but ffs. What other company can get Β£150 out of customers without some kind of confirmation or protection. ( like auto disable campaign if not used or cash exhausted) .
Guess what, the Β£150 didn't generate 1 lead.. ( as normal ) .
Feel ripped off. That's a lot of money to lose by accident.
Does anyone else feel adwords is a rip off, monopoly, no support due to covid bullshit make a billion profit from small business bitch company.. or just me.
Anyone know who we can complain to in thr uk? Searches on Google take you to bullshit forums. Whole racket is protected.
hi, I am not sure where to begin, I have about 71 sales in shopify in last 30 days, which also shows up in GA, but in AW it shows I had 6. Where do I start to troubleshoot this? I used this video to make sure I didn't miss a step. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3OFjGSWvhA I am not sure what else I could have missed. I attached some screenshots, if you have the time and expertise, kindly give me some pointers... thanks!
shopify has UA code populated & Enhanced Ecommerce checked in GA
AW and GA both show linked
71 sales for GA but only 6 for Adword (0 for transaction and 6 for google shopping [transaction not carrying over to AW?] )
Hello everyone,
I started recently advertising my small video production business on adwords (desktop only) and I'm trying to understand what to do with the data I receive on the Landing Page Experience. I'm running 4 ad groups, each focused on a specific keyword family and each with its own landing page with the keyword on the link and on the page text.
I have cases with a 3 word keyword where 2 words match the page link and appear on the page, resulting in an Average Experience, others in the same conditions have Below Average. I also have 2 words keywords that exactly match the link and appear on the text and are Below Average.
The best I have is Average and I can't establish a clear link with it and the exact link and page wording. Also, does the number of impressions provide a more reliable ranking in page experience? I have some keyword where the experience ranking was attributed but the keywords had a couple or even zero impressions so far.
Do you have any insights? How do you optimize your campaigns around this ranking?
Thanks!
