A list of puns related to "Adsense"
The reason I'm ecstatic is because I completely forgot that you get a pay out when you hit a certain threshold on Adsense! Just to put things in to perspective:
I've been uploading to my channel for 5 years this February being as constant with my content as my life allows, (and it has got harder since I began now that I'm a Dad) and although I hit the minimal requirements for allowing me to monetize only last year with the introduction of the tax from America on earnings I thought nothing of actually having money transferred in to my bank account at any point.
So you go through the process of setting your Adsense account up, going through YOUR ENTIRE BACK CATALGOGUE and monetizing everything you're allowed to and then... you forget about it. Every upload since has been a process of pressing the appropriate buttons, writing fitting descriptions and choosing what type of ads are to run on that particular video but you think nothing of it as the goal seems so far away.
And then it happened. I log in to my Gmail account and I'm told in an email from Adsense to CHECK MY RECENT PAYMENT. And boom! There it is... not enough to go on holiday or anything... but enough to have a drink on Google... it might even stretch to a couple of packets of crisps too. ;)
This is just a hobby to me, and in the 5 years of doing what I want to do on this platform, (I haven't generally followed trends, I've just uploaded what I wanted) and I've been lucky enough to have 2 videos commissioned to appear on the Steam store page, I've had my Youtube name appear in a game and been mentioned in the "Special Thanks" section of the credits. These are all things I never imagined I would accomplish with this little thing I do in my spare time, and having this payment from Google feels like receiving that nod of acknowledgement you get from a hands off parent who doesn't focus on you as much as they should. (A bit whimsical?)
So what am I saying? Keep at it. Don't do it for the money, do it for the passion of doing it and with a little luck and a lot of effort you may get things out of this that you never thought you would achieve! I'm not saying you're going to be the next PewDiePie or Markiplier or (insert your favourite Youtubers name here), but at a bare minimum in time you could get a minimal payment off Google. :)
I was reading a similar post on this topic but since it was 7 years ago, am wondering if folks could contribute to an updated version of this topic?
The old post:
https://www.reddit.com/r/webdev/comments/2rb487/people_who_have_built_sites_for_a_passive_income/
Just want to see what new intrigues have popped up on the passive income website landscape since this post was created. Also I am curious since a lot of the ppl mentioned Adsense: with Adblockers more and more common, do they still make money? Or is there a better solution out there?
Thanks in advance!
My new website #2 just got approved for Adsense. It was approved in less than 12 hours.
I honestly was thinking the site would get rejected. I applied for Adsense approval when I had five posts up and was denied for having thin content.
I've had my Adsense account for a long time but haven't added a new site, so I wasn't sure what to expect.
I've read online that you have to have 15 - 30 posts published and have traffic to get approved. Fortunately, this is not always true.
Here are some website details:
Hey everyone,
I'd love to learn what was the point where you managed to monetize outside of adsense, with things like Patreon, merch, etc.?
Thanksπ
it seems adsense is so powerful that non-ecom sites (like blogs) need it to generate income
without using adsense, what are some ways non-ecom sites can generate income?
Hey guys i might be freaking out over nothing but Iβve read some horror stories and canβt get a straight answer from google.
5 years ago i created an adsense account for a website of mine. Iβve since moved and closed that account as it was a failed business anyway, i never even made the threshold to get paid once, not even close
I tried logging in that adsense account and it says its closed and that I can only access payment settings. My question is - should I create a new adsense once im applying for monetization or reactivate the old one? The old one is associated to details in a country i no longer live anyway.
It would be a lot easier if I could create a new one. Would that be an issue? Iβm just super afraid of encountering issues with adsense and not being able to get monetized.
Thanks guys
I created an AdSense account in 2019 and just left it there, I didn't do anything on it because I hadn't uploaded any YouTube content at the time. Now, I recently met the requirements for monetization, but my 'Monetization' page in YouTube Studio says "Your associated AdSense account is disabled for invalid click activity or other policy reasons." It also says " Your recent email from adsense-noreply@google.com has more details." but I never received any e-mail.
I have never monetized my videos, and have never run any ads anywhere. There's no suspicious activity on my videos' analytics - the views have been going up at a steady rate. I have never broken any of the T&C's.
I submitted an "Invalid traffic appeal" explaining my situation and in less than an hour it got rejected with an automated rejection message. I also explained my situation on the community help forum but it got no replies.
Now what do I do?
A lot of robots clicks generated from the UK in the last couple days and still occurs, precisely from tablet and phone platforms.
ad units were removed from the website however clicks still occurring without impressions of ads. (madness)
One more thing is that traffic stats look normal on G analytics.
I recently got approved for Adsense and the first week has made Β£10.
Is it just visits to the website or ONLY when people click in the ads?
I would be very grateful if anyone explained the stats to me, please?
These are the stats for last 7 days:
Page views: 14.5K
Page RPM: Β£0.72
Impressions: 8.67K
Clicks: 73
CPC: Β£0.14
Page CTR: 0.50%
Thank you in advance.
I wanted to know how was your experience with Ezoic after switching from Adsense.
I joined Ezoic program a week ago and my RPM went from 5.65$ with Adsense to 2.43$ with ezoic.
Iβm just hoping that it will get better after some time and optimizationβ¦
Hey all, baby blogger here.
My long term goal is to display ads from Mediavine. I understand that Mediavine has a requirement of 50,000 monthly sessions before I can join their program, but AdSense has no minimum traffic requirements.
I've heard from one trustworthy source that it's better to skip AdSense and just wait for the traffic to apply for Mediavine.
Is this true? Why or why not? Is it hard to make the switch from one to the other?
If it matters: I use WordPress and Elementor for all my posts (Mediavine says using Elementor is fine, I emailed them).
I'm growing fast with SEO tactics and daily writing, but 50,000 is a big goal for a beginner, so it could be a while before I get there.
Thanks in advance!
I have always been amazed at how difficult it is to find beginner tutorials for seemingly simple aspects of wordpress. So here goes:
I have a wordpress site. No, this is not a fancy site hosted on my PC. I'm not a developer and don't understand much about the advanced stuff. I had a blog, as in "xyz.wordpress.com", and then I upgraded to a personal plan, so now I have the domain "xyz.com"
I want to put ads on this site. So I go and sign up for Google adsense, and it gives me a bit of code and tells me to add this to the header of all the pages I want ads on. I have no idea how to do this. When I look for help, all I'm told is to use the site kit plugin, which does it for me.
Problem is, plugins are only available for buisiness plans and above. But besides this I can find NO information anywhere that makes any sense.
Basically, can someone PLEASE explain to a beginner like me, in simple step by step instructions, how I can add this code to my wordpress site? Specifically, how do I access the HTML code to the site, without the use of plugins?
I saw some youtube videos where people put ads on their sites by using a custom html widget, but this is no good either. My widget page looks completely different to theirs and has no "custom html" option.
Thank you
As the title says, the earning are very very veeeeery low... 0.02, 00.03, 0.05....
In this way I'll never monetize my site seriously, even with much more traffic...
Any way to increase it?
What are you earning per click on adsense?
Can I link Carte Technologique Internationale CTI with Google AdSense ?
I recently had my AdSense account shut down by Google for invalid activity and I am genuinely at a loss for why. I have not been clicking my own ads and I have only told 1 person I have been working on the site.
My site is only 3 months old and was purchased as an expired domain with no activity on for a few years. It has some ok backlinks from when it was previously active and some spammy links also.
I have managed to get up to about 35-40 organic users per day and had an RPM of about $30. This RPM seems to be similar to others within the niche.
I have appealed with Google and got a response to notify me my appeal is unsuccessful and they did no provide additional information as to what the invalid activity was. I'm wondering if a competitor was clicking ads?
Has anyone been able to successfully get reinstated with AdWords?
What is the next best option? I have applied to Ezoic but I'm not excited about this given the feedback here and on other forums.
Since my account was cancelled I have seen a large spike in clicks and impressions, do I wait for the site to grow before applying to other networks? Try to get back into AdSense with another account? Sell the site?
Any advice is appreciated.
I exported a static next js blog and added Google Adsense to it, but I realized that because of hydration, when navigating around pages ads won't load. Ads only load if the page is refreshed client-side or with direct traffic (using the exact link to navigate to the page). I have seen examples of other developers using manual ad placements by rendering the ads manually, but does anyone know how to handle automatic ad placements?
Trying to optimize my ads. Looking for some ideas to run by the tester. What tests did you run that surprised you with the results?
I run a popular little networking tool website, something about your IP address etc :/
In the very early days, I had many different advertising programs. Then AdSense came out around 2003 and I hopped on board and was doing great for years and years. But now traffic is down, CPM is wayyyyyyyy down, and the amount of money that google calls "invalid" and deletes from your account each month is wayyyyyyy up.
It's gotten so bad that I'm ready to try some other ad providers. I'm hoping some people can make some suggestions based on first hand experience. I don't want sketchy, adult ads. I don't want popups, popunders, anything sketchy like "your computer may be infected", malware or leads to malware etc. (I have had to block malware ads on adsense before).
I'm just looking for some good old fashioned, high quality banner ads from reputable providers.
When I made the site, I made it so it would be easy to switch ad providers or set up multiple so the views get randomly split among different providers. So if there are a few good, reputable ad companies, I might sign up for them all and basically let them all battle it out :)
One thing that my site does NOT have but would be a nice feature to create would be the ability to look at the earnings for each provider, each month, and weight the impressions away from the lower paying ads and towards the higher paying ones. But I'm not looking for help with any of that, that's something I can play around with once I start getting results. I'm really just looking for ad provider suggestions that people have actually used and like.
I have access to my own AdX for the main website, but launched a new one which has decent traffic: about 100K pageviews per month now and growing. Trying to figure out if I should sign up for an AdSense account or trying to use my AdX instance for it?
I already have an Adsense for my main account, but it's not used now since I run all thru AdX and other demands. The second website is a totally separate entity with its own LLC structure and Tax ID. Google said it's okay to sign up for second AdSense if totally separate entities, but really wanna make sure I don't screw up my main account.
What's the best solution here for revenue?
Ou ainda nΓ£o descobriu? π

So, a few months ago i decided to create a channel and made an E-mail address for that channel.
2 Days ago i could apply for AdSense and monetization. Now, AdSense is saying that i have an active account already. Problem is, i can't access that E-mail address anymore. Had the account on my old phone with 2FA, so now anything i try to do including recovery doesn't work anymore.... The account is basically useless.
BUT, i do need to close that old AdSense account in order to use it with my new channel... So, please anyone. How do i get around this!? I want to monetize my videos...
Thanks you all!
Iβm facing Adsense and Admob limitations from long time and itβs keep repeating itself and there is only 0.1% invalid traffic deductions from my earning and this make no sense for me. Did anyone find any solutions?
I am a new blogger who started blogging in lockdown. After about 10 months of starting blogging I have around 30 posts. Not very much but thats all I could manage to write. All necessary pages for adsense are there. 2 months ago I applied for adsense through Google Site kit plugin, and auto ads. The status is still showing 'waiting'. Any tips on how to accelerate the process? Website URL: https://letsgowithflow.com

Hey Everyone,
Looking for some advice. I recently hit the 1k subs and 4k watch hours necessary to hit partnered status (very excited about that), but Iβve spent the better part of 5 days trying to get my Adsense account linked with YouTube.
I get the error βyour associated Adsense account is missing required payment details, so we are unable to monetize your channelβ
Iβve input all my personal data, Iβve had my bank account verified with a small deposit, Iβve had my tax information verified, but when I go to the payment section, they βchoose payment methodβ is greyed out and I believe thatβs what I need to have both sites sync.
If I go into my google account, I can verify my bank account is under βpayments and subscriptionsβ - so Iβm sort of at a lossβ¦.
Googling answers yields a million different answers unrelated to my Issue and the google help center isnβt providing me with the answers I need. If anyone has any guidance, please let me know!
*edit - as of now Iβve made a βgoogle adsβ account and waiting for it to be approved to link to YouTube. This process could be so much more streamlinedβ¦
Hello, good day all!
About AdSense tax... What is the process for the US?
If I add the tax info, what will happen? The site is not generating a lot of revenue, and I saw online that there are some thresholds that don't have to be presumably reported?
E.g. here it said "If you make money with AdSense and you make more AdSense Google income than $400 per year, Google is required to mail you so called 1099-MISC form"
^ what does this entail? What happens without the form?
The latest info on IRS suggest it's $600 as a threshold.
Any help would be appreciated on this ππΌ
I don't get paid every month because my channel doesn't make $100 off of ad revenue every month. But every time I try to log into my Google AdSense account text that reads " We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are unable to process your request at this time. Our engineers have been notified of this problem and will work to resolve it." It's been like this for months. I just wanna know how far I am away from getting paid but I don't know how to get past this.
I have around 10 sites and ready to show Google ads. But I want 2 to 3 Google ads accounts.
Is this possible and legit?
