Hey folks,
I'm not in the ADF but have worked with you folks before.
Looking from the Canadian point of view, the ADF seems to have it all - bases that are in or at least near populated centres, new equipment, some sort of Defence strategy supported by all political parties, great pay, and media not gleefully highlighting every single issue in the organization. Those points above are 80% of the complaints I read on r/CanadianForces - the others being "no deployments for the Army" and "moving every 3-4 years", which might be the same with you guys.
So, while I was looking something up, I came across this document talking about retention and separation. The ADF seems to have really high separation rates, even compared to the CAF (usually about 7-8%).
Those two paragraphs seem to contradict each other - if things are so good for folks in the ADF, why are people leaving?
Call me old fashioned, but I think torture, sexual assault, unlawfully detaining someone is a life sentence.
I think several years for everyone aiding and abetting. I think more than several years for those in command.
The guy on camera is so blasé about it, taking a phone call and joking about it. Perhaps jail isn't appropriate, perhaps this guy needs to be psychologically assessed - I'm not qualified to suggest one way or another.
I think I'll be strongly discouraging anyone ever doing any service for this country if heads don't roll over this.
Hi guys, i need some help! Currently applying for warrant officer scheme. My first 2 choices are commando and guards leader, however for the third i not sure what to choose. ADF or infantry leader, any help guys?
I'm obese according to BMI. I'm nearly 30kg overweight. I had tried fasting last year but that didn't last long. Under peer pressure I ate once on my fasting day, after that I wasn't able to restart. Hopefully this year I can maintain some discipline. I'll come back to this post in comments with progress.

Hoping someone else ran into this in an ADFS 2021R2 environment.
Our android users cant sign into teams or outlook after an ADFS certificate change.
They receive the following error:
"Unable to sign in due to a certificate issue."
All other devices are fine. Some quick googling pointed me to an issue with android users having to download an "Extra" certificate. I've recreated the certificate twice following the instructions from microsoft and nothing works.
Any ideas?

I am a 26yo F, SW 204, CW 190, GW 154. I have been doing ADF for 3-4 weeks now with awesome results. I fast for about 38-40 hours every other day and walk at least 10k steps a day with some occasional yoga. The last few days I’ve been walking upwards of 20k steps a day since I’ve been doing some hiking. I eat between 1800-2,200 calories on my eating days and burn at least 2,400 cal a day sometimes upwards of 3,400 cal.
However the weight loss has seemingly stalled for the past 4-5 days even though I am absolutely in a caloric deficit. I’ve actually put on a pound or 2. Any advice? Should I ramp up my exercise? Am I not eating enough? Should I just be patient?
I know there’s only so much internet strangers can speculate on but any advice on ADF plateaus would be amazing I’m starting to get a little discouraged :(

I fast for 38-40 hours, eat for 8-10 and then fast for 38-40 hours. I supposed that isn’t really ADF and more rolling 40s?
I weigh myself at the same time every morning after using the restroom without clothes.

Yeah yeah, might be a silly thing to ask, but i am preparing for a guns only campaign, while i have already finished it once in the X-02 in XBox i've been playing in Steam with the Deluxe Edition, so it is a clean save now. Wanted to take this doubt away before going in and knowing its a mistake beforehand lmao
On that note: if i want to make said "gun" better should i go for the gun upgrades or the PLSL ones?

I want to chain 2 ADF pipelines together. If pipeline 1 runs successfully, I want to trigger pipeline 2.
Please note that pipeline 1 has a schedule based trigger and I dont want to create another pipeline where I combine pipeline 1 and 2.
In AWS we have something called cloudwatch events/rules that takes care of this requirement. Is there something similar in Azure? If not, what are my options?
I know for a lot of animals you have to have a certain ratio of male to female in order to keep peace and I couldn’t find anything that said that is/isn’t that the case for ADFs. I want to breed them and would like to know if it’s better to have more males, more females, or neither.

It's time to settle this long-debated discussion.
Apart from the stereotype of the chair force, here's what I got from talking to a few servicing members:
- A more diverse branch with more job development than the other two branches,
- less yelling, less arduous marching and a less regimented system.
- a flexible workplace often with weekends and evenings off except during exercises and training,
- lessons are drawn from what the other two have done being the youngest branch,
- * Aviators* are more satisfied for just doing a normal civvy job, as a result, being more efficient team players

I want to run some games on my Amiga 1200. I have them as unarchived folders - one of them is DoomAttack, which I unarchived from its previous .lha format; as an example. Now, I want to convert that folder into an .adf file, so that I can put it into my gotek and play the game. I have tried to figure out how to do this using FS-UAE, but I cannot seem to figure out how. Does anyone know how to go about this?
So I (M18) have been wanting to try ADF, but I got an idea could you combine it with regular intermittent fasting. Fasting every other day and on the eating days having only dinner. Or would that have many negative side effects?
Mine do not want to share their food! They squabble big time, such that I ended up moving one of three - the presumed troublemaker - to another tank. All was well for a while then the remaining pair have started up again. I feed them frozen tubeworms, bloodworms, & brine shrimp (alternating) once a day, and excessive amounts of it because I have fish that will clean up after them, so it seems odd they would bicker at all.
Anyone else see this behavior?
In the past couple weeks I’ve attempted to start ADF. Ive been keto on and off for 3 years and due to inconsistencies and covid I gained back 35 of the 90 pounds I had lost originally. I dabbled in fasting when i was keto in the beginning and even did a a 48 hour fast once.
Now im trying to ramp my weight-loss again and I really love everything about ADF and I want to be able to do it with ease. My problem is i cannot fall asleep hungry.
Yesterday was my fasting day and i got all the way to 11pm and then broke my fast with eggs cause I kept tossing and turning. Prior to that i had been fasting until 7pm and then having a very low carb high fat meal like scrambled eggs and bacon but only eating a little. Enough to be able to sleep. I dont want to eat before bed as I’d like to do a true 36 hour fast and im wondering if maybe OMAD is better but ive tried omad before and i can do it but over time i didnt like doing it everyday.
Idk does anyone have advice on the night time hunger with ADF?
