A list of puns related to "Yoda conditions"
Closed - Contest in now closed, winners to be announced later today!
Hello!
First of all, let me tell all of you that u/Lucy_Leigh225 dared me to do this so you can blame her for this contest.
Now, here it is. It was brought to my attention that Disney recently came out with a Baby Yoda bop it and youβre actually instructed by the Mandolorian on how to torture the child. There is also a Chewbacca one apparently but I donβt have details on if you can hear the Wookiee scream or not π
For this contest, you need to add either the Baby Yoda or the Chewbacca bop it to your list (if you have several lists, tell me on which list it is) BUT if you win you have to record yourself playing with the bop it until you get it right and post the video as your Thanks post. The one who gets it right the quickest might get a bonus gift. Edit: after consideration, itβs gonna be longest run without messing up who wins!
Rules:
Add one of the bop its to your list and use either the Child or the Wookie in your comment. Make sure you use one or both of those words for the raffler!
You can add both but youβll only get one
Open internationally
Have an intro and have gifted before
If you win, you are committing yourself to make the video, if you donβt youβll be glitterbombed (maybe...)
Ends when it is no longer Thursday
I'm interested to know if this is recommended for Symfony applications?
I know yoda conditions are part of the Symfony Coding Guidelines and I use these in my Symfony project, but i'd be keen to know if they should also be used in Twig templates too?
I can't see anything in either the Symfony Coding Guidelines or Twig standards.
I really dislike using yoda conditions. It feels awkward and at a first glance it is hard for me to understand. Normally I don't do it. I seriously can't remember the time I made a typo with "=".However, I am using more coding standards like "WordPress" when building plugins, ect, and I really want to make sure I am following that standards and not creating my own separate exclusions or comments to exclude. Maybe this will be something I just get use to, but I find that hard believe.
So what about using is
to be a replacement of ===
This seems like a nice solution. One less character, faster to type, maybe easier for new coders to understand and maybe use as early adoption as many still use ==
when they should use ===
etc.
ex, if ( $animal is 'cat' )
Although we might want is_not
for !==
and that is not less characters.
Thoughts?
finally understand. I do
I'm in talks to purchase Spirit Yoda for $20 in Canada

-Is he legit? I provided a picture of the bottom part of the box.
-Is the box in bad condition should I avoid buying it at this price?
My instinct is to write my JUnit assertions like assertEquals(observedValue, desiredValue)
. But when the tests fail, the error messages strangely treat the order in reverse, as
Expected: <observedValue>, Actual: <desiredValue>.
This looks funny, like yoda conditions.
Is there a way to configure JUnit (esp. in Maven) to flip this rule around?
I guess the concept didn't work
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Some Grimoire Cards laid the crucial foundations of Destinyβs lore, being able to be seen in a completely different light thanks for more recent developments building on those foundations. Some, however, remain as just a Mysteryβ¦
And call me Hercule Poirot, because I think I've only gone and solved this one.
Ghost Fragment: Mysteries 2 has always been one of my favourite Grimoire Cards - the vivid and specific descriptions contrast the uncertain, wandering voice of the narrator to produce a gorgeous, dreamlike tone.

... keep reading on reddit β‘Alot of great jokes get posted here! However just because you have a joke, doesn't mean it's a dad joke.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT NSFW, THIS IS ABOUT LONG JOKES, BLONDE JOKES, SEXUAL JOKES, KNOCK KNOCK JOKES, POLITICAL JOKES, ETC BEING POSTED IN A DAD JOKE SUB
Try telling these sexual jokes that get posted here, to your kid and see how your spouse likes it.. if that goes well, Try telling one of your friends kid about your sex life being like Coca cola, first it was normal, than light and now zero , and see if the parents are OK with you telling their kid the "dad joke"
I'm not even referencing the NSFW, I'm saying Dad jokes are corny, and sometimes painful, not sexual
So check out r/jokes for all types of jokes
r/unclejokes for dirty jokes
r/3amjokes for real weird and alot of OC
r/cleandadjokes If your really sick of seeing not dad jokes in r/dadjokes
Punchline !
Edit: this is not a post about NSFW , This is about jokes, knock knock jokes, blonde jokes, political jokes etc being posted in a dad joke sub
Edit 2: don't touch the thermostat
Do your worst!
How the hell am I suppose to know when itβs raining in Sweden?
