A list of puns related to "Wait (system call)"
Hi all,
I've always been a huge fan of Meraki's tech support, but lately I can't get any help to save my life.
Tickets logged in the dashboard go unanswered, or the reply is useless (can tell the tech didn't even read the information submitted) or suggests that I call.
When I call, I'm on hold for anywhere from 35-45 minutes wanting to pull my hair out with that terrible looping hold music and then all of a sudden the call will just drop. I assume at the point when it's supposed to be transferred to an agent.
This has happened three times over the last few days, and I can't bear to sit on hold again to have the same experience.
Any tips or tricks? For the price point, this is absurd. I can't believe you can't get a callback similar to what the airlines and other companies do.
Hello
I am trying to improve my knowledge on the inner workings of the Linux kernel, so I started with studying how epoll works under the hood. I however have some difficulties understanding a couple of things:
what is the point of the "napy_busy_loop" function?
how is the link made between a hardware interrupt which occurs and a process inside a waitqueue?
AFAIK the whole point of epoll_wait is that it does not go over a whole array of devices to monitor. Doing this has a performance of O(n). It instead manages to have a O(log(n)) performance (don't have the source by hand of where I read that, sorry), because somehow it does not loop over an array. And I don't see it looping somehow over a whole bunch of devices in any way (tree, list, etc...) in that function. To me it looks like it is always calling the same function.
The way I understand it is that napi is an api that tries to bundle a whole bunch of interrupts for performance reasons (more details here).
So to me it does not seem like it is polling a whole bunch of devices. If not, what is the goal of thing function here? Or is my understanding wrong?
Any input is more than welcome! Hopefully my questio

We have a standard land-line, but we want to upgrade for one with the "thank you for calling company name, please hold" greeting.
We also want to be able to record customer calls for reference if we need to as most our business happens over the phone.
All I found was things you can plug in to the landline and then to a PC but these all seemed slightly cheap looking.
Any suggestions?
"We fought to preserve them, why do they seek it out?" Hallas whispered, her face etched with concern. "They should not be upon this path."
Godrun shrugged, "The Humans have long been a curious species, always delving where they should not. Our efforts were always no better than a stalling tactic, we knew they would come into the Blight in time."
Hallas pushed mana into the scrying orb, coaxing it to greater clarity, trying to gain an eye into those things that the Humans tried to keep hidden. It was a simple matter for a Fluent of her power, particular since Humanity concerned itself with matters of science rather than magic. They were woefully unprepared for incursions for those who knew the Connected Points.
Within the orb, a great many Humans were scurrying about, darting around an enormous apparatus. Their excitement was palpable, and every action they undertook tasted of anticipation. They drew close to their great discovery. The realization that would alter their understanding of the universe they inhabited and their role in it.
"I still not understand how they came to know of its existence," Godrun said, frowning into the orb. He had no love for the Humans, did not dote over them as Hallas did, but he had agreed to the benefits of preserving them from the war surrounding them. They were a precious asset. A species untainted by mana blight but possessing a deep well of Fluents. At the proper moment, they could join the resistance, walk the Connected Points and turn the tide of the conflict.
"They know it by its absence. They have come to realize that their reality seems...empty. That a great something has been hidden. They know not what to call mana. They know not what to call the Connected Points that bind us together." Hallas sighed. "Instead, they call it by another name. Dark Matter."
Hallas shifted the view of the orb, and it instead focused on a single Human female, crouched over her desk and scribbling furiously. Hallas returned to this Human often, as if the creature were a favored daughter.
"Do you think she will find the truth?" Godrun asked, his eyes peering intently on Hallas now.
"I do not know, but I believe so." Orange points of mana began to pulse at her joints, slowly leeching out into the surrounding skin until they became connected through the veins. "I can see her mind. She sees the Points. She reaches for them, but she has not found the Connections."
"She is a Fluent?"
Hallas nodded,

This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 32%. (I'm a bot)
> Robots are to start whirring around Israel's largest hospital, racing drugs from the pharmacy to wards the moment they are needed.
> From next month, as soon as Sheba Medical Center's oncology department needs chemotherapy drugs, which must be prepared in the pharmacy, small Israeli-produced robots will take them straight to the nurses who ordered them, and help save patients hours of waiting time.
> "This is very exciting as we're moving from needing humans to transport drugs to a solution that uses robots to increase speed and efficiency," Ronen Loebstein, director of clinical pharmacology at Sheba, told The Times of Israel.
> The company's CEO, Amir Nardimon, said that while some robotic drug delivery systems already exist, his is more advanced than others because the robots are able to operate even in the most crowded areas, and able to negotiate in outdoor spaces with relatively flat surfaces, as well as indoors.
> "The compartment for the drugs is refrigerated at four degrees Celsius, and is secured, meaning it's locked so drugs can't be removed unless people have permission," Nardimon added, "And alerts are generated if anyone tries to mess with the robot, meaning it won't be 'kidnapped.'".
> The hospital's chief pharmacist, Dr. Ande Lazarovich, said: "This will really make a difference to patients, as today the [golf cart] driver comes to take chemotherapy drugs once an hour, and if we prepare drugs one minute after he leaves, that patient will be waiting for another hour or more. But with the automated system, there will be several robots and they can be sent out as needed, reducing the time patients need to wait."

Hello apes,
Follow Up Post on this one: https://www.reddit.com/r/Superstonk/comments/qrws0b/dr_marco_metzler_is_going_to_call_me_tomorrow/
Mods hit me up for prove if u need.here is the summary of the call with Dr. Marco Metzler from the DMSA.The call was 1 hour and 15 minutes long.
But first i want to point something out which is important to me:
I am aware that the the whole Evergrande crisis, is not directly related to GME, as we don't know how exactly a global market crash will influence GME. There was a long ongoing theory that a crash would lead to SHFs positions to decline and therefore would lead to them failing margin requirements which will lead to forced close of their shorts and therefore MOASS. - this is just a theory, like all of the many others.
Still i believe that this post and call is important to the community as there is a lot of interest, in prior market crashes, (hyper) inflation, production chain issues, false media coverage and everybody feeling that a crash is coming. ...I mean how much longer can those bulls run, the system is doomed...
Furthermore there is a common spirit in the superstonk community which asks for the truth and is sick of false media reports and institutions covering up.
To me the Evergrande crisis is a very interesting topic and the turn of events around the DMSA and Dr. Marco Metzler are even more spicy. Still it might turn out do nothing (unlikely in my opinion, you will later see why).
But what is important for GME is that you DRS your shares, as it is the only way apes can take the MOASS into their own hands. See here for more information on how to DRS your shares.
I'm just a simple ape like you guys who took his chance and was lucky to make this call. I've been holding XXX GME till January and been averaging up. Its been 11 months and the market crash might be a catalyst, but we don't know. So stay zen, live your lives, be excellent and continue to fight for a better world even after the MOASS.
My call with Dr. Marco Metzler
Question 1: Is Dr. Marco Metzler a real person and if so who is he?
Yes, he is. Dr. Marco Metzler has worked for numerous financial companies, most of the time in the analysis aswell in the merger and acquisition department. He wa

You say, yes but thereβs tons of rules that have been passed yet here we are. Yes thatβs true, but think of all these rules like layers of an onion. They passed the ones in June and then realized how over leveraged they were, and had to start putting things in place to prevent a crash with MOASS. As much as waiting sucks, 1- them doing this is very valuable to you. It wonβt make your gains worthless if they can prevent a devastating collapse 2- while you wait you have time to save for more shares. Itβs a very ironic time for them to finally publish 010 and If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck... well you get it.
REMINDER: If you want to improve the justice system and police accountability in your neighborhood, GO LOCAL. Thereβs almost no chance of anything happening on a national level from Congress right now.
Seriously, we canβt even get a fucking a package for first responders and for our society in the middle of a goddamn pandemic. Republicans in Congress are sure as shit not gonna start caring about black people in the police right now.
Thatβs why you need to go local.
Find your state senator, advocate on places like Facebook or Twitter, call them, email them, get your friends to do it. Not only is it more likely to succeed, Itβs also the smarter way.
Each state has its own unique characteristics and issues that its people have to contend with. And while national legislation would be fantastic, thereβs also the risk that it could take a hammer to an approach that needs a scalpel.
In my humble opinion I think it would be better if we made a more customizable, fine-tuned approach towards how we fix policing in our states. And that starts from the governors mansion, the state house of representatives and the senate.
Use this website to find your senator.

I've been on the line for 45 minutes listening to call back music. Honestly it was distracting me from focusing on anything important. I'll call back later, but just a thought for future inprovements.
For anyone who has the beta can you try this please. This might be my deal breaker to put my phone into the beta. Thanks!
Is it really that hard? I would literally leave my phone on for days if it meant connecting with an actual rep.
To clarify, I just got placed onto an on-hold system for the "completing the claim" step. Go go go!
As for new claims, I'm afraid I do not have information on that right now.
Update - The on-hold system may not have been a new implementation and I may have just gotten lucky. All I can say is best of luck to the rest of you struggling to get through. Hang in there.
Filed nonfilers 4/16. I ended up having to update my address and last name & did so 2&1/2 weeks ago. Irs said it wuld take 4-6 weeks to update in their system & that I wuld have to redo nonfilers in 4-6 weeks, u canβt redo nonfilers once u already have applied. It just says this ssn has already been filed and in process. I first did it with the info they now updated it to. Wuld I have to do anything else? Anyone in this or has been in this similar situation?
Right now there are so many vehicles in a small area in a match, itβs vehicle dominance. Whatβs worse is that taking out a vehicle has no real impact on a match cause it just spawns in 20m away from you cause someone calls it in.
In other bf games I felt like taking out a vehicle was actually contributing to a match, because taking out a tank that is stopping us from pushing an objective opens up that space for us to move through. And I know it will take a while for it to respawn, and when it does it spawns at base with a set number of routes it could take, meaning I can learn rotations and positions tanks might be.
In 2042, the call in system means I could take out a tank, but another one just spawns in behind me, then we are right back to square one. This has happened to me before, and it ruins any way to predict routes and hotspots since they can literally appear anywhere.
I personally believe the call in system should be limited to the latv, atv and Ranger. Donβt even add the hovercraft or other light vehicles, just the basic transport vehicles with minimal firepower. This would help us get from a to b quicker while not being an annoyance, and would help the overwhelming number of vehicles present in one area, while also adding some predictability which is something you can learn through experience.
I'm new to practicing witchcraft. After months of researching from afar, I realized that not only does green witchcraft call my name, but I've been doing it for years without even realizing. I've been doing lots of research on green witchcraft (and a bit of everything else), and it's really made me feel fulfilled and happy. However, I have one issue.
In real life, I see a group of people weekly who practice witchcraft. However, they 100% believe in gods/goddesses, demons, angels, etc. The way they practice their beliefs... Feels a little inappropriate, but I won't go into detail since that's not the point of my post. According to them, you cannot call yourself a witch if you don't believe in at least one god/goddess/deity. That's where my issue lies. Try as I might, I just can't rewire my brain to believe in a god/goddess/demons/angels/etc.
I grew up Southern Baptist Christian. My family was heavily religious. My grandparents served as missionaries in Africa for 20+ years, and then my parents moved our family to India when I was a teenager so they could serve as missionaries for over a year. I was 14 when I moved to India. Before that, I wholeheartedly believed that the Christian God was the only God, that all others were fake, etc.
Upon moving to India, I made both Hindu friends and Muslim friends, visited their places of worship respectively, participated in their holidays, etc. They told me stories from their religions, taught me some of their core beliefs, etc. I came to realize that Christianity had a lot of similarities to their religions. Some of the stories they told me were straight up stories from the Bible, but with different names. A lot of the morals and values they held were the exact same ones I'd been taught growing up in Christianity.
By the time I was 15, I came to realize that we were all following the same thing but with different names. We all just hoped to find peace and happiness through our practices. Suddenly I didn't feel okay being a missionary kid, trying to convert people to MY thing when THEIR thing was just as good. Why go into a country and tell people that THEIR version is evil and wrong? My friends weren't evil and wrong. I loved my friends.
Long story short, due to my past experiences I cannot bring myself to believe in a god/goddess, or even angels/demons/the like. I have tried. I've wanted to. I just can't.
I believe that magic is just science that we don't understand yet. I also believe that it's o
