Found this rock in Iceland with a green gem in it and thought that maybe it was a volcanic gem. My question is what is this gemstone, is it valuable at all, or is it even able to be made into jewelry. If so how should I approach this? Should I go to a jeweler or what? Thanks for the help.

Lava rock found on a northern Wisconsin lake. I wonder about volcanic activity. This piece was chipped off from a bigger mass. With no apparent volcanos in the area, although there are low mountains near Lutsen, Minn. and Iron Mtn. Michigan. Also is anyone happy with the rock indentifier app?

I just purchased a 10 lb bag. Supposedly, it adds trace minerals back to the soil.

New subspecies I thought up. Its pukei if instead of poison it had lave spit which has the same properties as the poison so when this pukei eats it gain extra effects on the lave. Has anyone tried putting volcanic rocks in the bottom of a magma Grill?
I have the rectangular propane magma grill for my boat. I love the thing. The only issue is it doesn't heat evenly. Has anyone tried putting volcanic rock that they often use in gas grills in their magma grill?
The back side of Dish Hill. Anyone who has traveled Route 66 east of Ludlow has seen the front of this “hill”. It volcanic in origin, thus a volcano. And this view shows that in the far distant past, the back side blew out and rained igneous rocks all over the area.

Just got one of the “picking stones” (volcanic rock with latex paint blobs on it you pick off)
I was super excited for it, thought it would really help me but I just opened it and I tried the metal tool it came with and I can’t handle the noise it makes against the rock. I started picking the paint bumps off with my fingers but even my nails against the rock make a noise/feeling that I can’t handle (like nails on a chalkboard “icky” feeling). I’m so disappointed, the small shop I ordered it from is so awesome and I had high hopes for this helping me (it’s obviously not the shops fault) but I’m just so sad/frustrated right now.
Can someone please explain what this rock is and what caused the patterns? Found on a beach of a volcanic island.
