This is an attempt to make Veere Di Wedding a "real" feminist movie rather than a "fake" feminist movie. I have changed the story to reflect the reality of Indian life and the usual demands of those who need "real" feminist movies.
All 4 girls studied in a poor government school.
Kalindi(Kareena) wanted to be a graphic designer but is forced by her family to pursue a degree and write SSC, UPSC tests. She finally gets a government job and starts living together with her partner, causing issues in both families.
Avni(Sonam) is an unsuccessful, frustrated lawyer who doesn't get many good cases. She is also facing the pressure to get married and doesn't have much say in her life because she couldn't become as successful as she expected. Her mother supported her till now but as a widow, she too doesn't have any support and is blamed by everyone for bringing up such a girl.
Sakshi(Swara) is facing domestic violence and marital rape at home but is scared to even open up about this. She told her mother once but she dismissed it as normal life. Now, she rarely contacts her friends or family.
Meera(Sikha) married a foreigner to escape this regressive atmosphere. But he lost interest in her after her weight gain and started cheating. Meera wants to tell her problems to her friends but is scared that they will only blame her choices.
Kalindi's folks reach a compromise and decide to conduct the marriage. 3 friends come together again. Sakshi's husband doesn't let her go. Meera is honour killed by Bade Pappa. Kalindi and Avni try to use their skills and contacts to get justice for their friend. This inspires Sakshi to leave her husband.
Their struggle for justice makes it to national and international headlines. Finally Bade Pappa and his accomplices are punished. Sakshi decides to adopt Meera's son(since her husband is busy banging his new gf) and dedicate her life to empower struggling women . They all visit Meera's grave or memorial or whatever and place flowers on it. Or start a foundation in her name.

Actor Swara Bhasker has penned a note as her movie Veere Di Wedding clocked three years. Taking to Instagram, Swara took a jibe at trolls saying that after the movie it seemed that she launched an employment guarantee scheme of 'two rupees per tweet' for her trolls.
She shared a clip from the movie and wrote, "3 YEARS (June 01) to the birth of an obsession - my nafrati chintus obsession with my fingers! Happy 3rd to the film that gave rise to an economy: the two rupees per tweet employment guarantee scheme that it seems i launched for my trolls #veerediwedding #sakshislays."

I have to say... i think i liked the film because of Kareena's badassery in taking the role while pregnant and the idea of an all girl ensemble. That being said, the plot was kinda hare brained (tho a chill one time watch). I also found Sonam's love interest realllly creepy and was surprised they okayed that storyline.
All in all, i think the movie had great potential ☹️

Fuck, BC, MC, Chutia etc are very powerful expressions. They convey so many emotions, and share so many stories. In an instant.
They all are brutally wasted in this shallow, shabbily directed movie.. Legendary movies like Gangs of Wasseypur and Delhi Belly have used them with a subtle touch.
Veere Di Wedding literally screws them. It is worse than a porn, because atleast porn is pretty honest in their objective.
Here, the objective was to create a sensation. Nothing else. Sex is used here to pull crowds, not to make a point.
The worst part, as seen as a marketer and content creator was the brand placement. They were as crass and misplaced as the cast and the stupid Delhi jokes.
Cinematic art is wasted at the altar of misguided feminism. A terrible waste of energies and ideas.

So I don't follow bollywood or the entertainment industry at all and I have no clue whats going on. Someone wanna explain why some people are pissed off?
- Did any other girls get champagne from their parents for passing Class XII?
- Did anyone else's parents leave them alone at home, very suspiciously hinting at an orgy, JUST for passing Class XII?
- Kareena Kapoor looks more beautiful than ever and she's giving me serious hope for my 30s which aren't as far away now as they were right out of college.
- I do not know if I can live through this. SO MUCH CRINGE.
- WTF is this father-in-law creepily checking out his son's fiance passing out comments TO HIS SON.
- Why do Indians eat with fork/knife at home?
- Who is afraid to admit they stalk someone online before meeting them anymore?
- This is a very weird mix of American and Indian.
- I like them showing that however modern and rich families are, they don't let go of their superstitious beliefs.
- Ok as long as that kid isn't involved in an unnecessary disaster-plot, I'm glad they're showing the mom bringing her kid along to her friend's wedding.
- Aunties talking about kids at the wedding - not even a joke.
- Am I really high or do some of these characters not feel even a bit exaggerated like the TDC hitting on Sonam Kapoor's character?
- That Aussie dude traumatized by the horrendous dress is the best actor in this movie.

- I like the relationship between the couple to be married. I keep forgetting their names.

- I LOVE the husband taking care of the kid while the mom gets drunk at her best friend's wedding.

- This movie is actually about money. They've shown credit cards being swiped twice in five minutes now, punctuated by a dialogue about money.
- I know now that I need to eat Amul ice cream, fly Air India, use Uber, and furnish my house from Gulmohar Lane furniture. And vacation in Phuket obviously. This movie doesn't only talk about money, also tells you how to use it.

I was desperate to like it coz I am sucker for Chick flicks. I didn’t love it , I found it very predictable. Movie may be one time watch and not pathbreaking .
