Telangana badly needs a change in government. Honestly, all I can see now are issues.
- Policies that strengthen caste divide like Raitu Bandhu rewards being distributed to all irrespective of acres held, announcing caste based sops like distributing sheep to historically shepherd communities, Separate houses for SCs (isolated housing will lead to ghettoization)
- Unemployment(last Group-1 held in 2011, before Telangana formation and KCR might release a year before 2023 elections)
- I can't forget the RTC employees protest where KCR fired 48,000 employees at once for demanding something. See they were taken back after 15 days but how is this not bad compared to that better.com CEO firing 900 over zoom call? And this is not a one-off event and KCR repeated this with some contract employees too. People protest! That is part of democracy. I believe that this kind of behavior from govt is effectively signaling that no protest is allowed against govt. It is kind of autocratic and seems to me like KCR looks at himself as a benevolent dictator.
- I can go on. Rampant corruption and wastage of funds, family politics, unequal representation of BCs and SCs in cabinet.
Congress is out of touch and with terrible strategies, it's losing deposits in elections, can't innovate and is clearly out of contention. BJP as we all know is parochial and communal but also seems very promising as an opposition. It clearly has a superior strategy and stronger leaders with motivated party workers. Raise of BJP MPs Aravind and Sanjay shifted the focus to Northern Telangana and they're onboarding BC caste leaders across state and also giving voice to various pressure groups like teachers.Now here comes the question. I am an atheist and a vocal supporter of Human rights. My political ideology strongly aligns with left and I despise BJP to the core. But in current political climate of state, it seems to me like there is no other option than siding away with BJP. It is egregious on communal front and wears out the social fabric. But do we have any other option in case I don't want to go with ruling party?

Karan Johar is among the most talented filmmakers in the film industry and his impressive body of work proves the same. KJo has given us many memorable and evergreen movies, like 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham', 'My Name Is Khan' to name a few. Karan has launched several star-kids and newcomers, including, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra, Ananya Panday, Janhvi Kapoor. Although he gives chances to newer generation actors, he is currently 'fed up' with their constant demand for an increase in their fees.
While speaking to the Film Companion, Karan expressed the same and said he understand strike dealing with megastars and A-lister actors who bring in the business but he is confused with the demands of the younger generations. The filmmaker also mentioned that he is even more annoyed because these fee hikes took place during the pandemic as well, where the actors gave excuses of their previous films not working, or they havenβt had a release.
Karan was quoted saying, βThere is a younger order that is yet to prove their muscle at the box office. Theyβre asking for Rs 20 or 30 crores. For no reason. Then you want to show a report card to them and say, that hello, this is what your film opened to.β He added, βI would rather pay top dollar to members of the technical crew, who actually make the film special.β He wonders why he pays some actors 15 crores, and an editor Rs 55 lakhs.β

After the success of Bahubali: The Beginning and Bahubali: The Conclusion, Netflix along with SS Rajamouli announced a prequel to the franchise, Bahubali: Before The Beginning. The series was to showcase the rise of Bahubaliβs mother, Shivagami, and the makers had cast Mrunal Thakur to play the lead with Deva Katta as the director. Later on, Rahul Bose and Atul Kulkarni came on board to play two more pivotal characters.
They shot the series over a period of 6 months on massive sets constructed in Hyderabad with an estimated budget of Rs 100 crore plus. Some more money was invested in the post production process too, however, after a prolonged work on the edit for a year, the makers finally decided to shelve Deva Kattaβs version and revamp it with a fresh cast. βThe entire amount invested in Bahubali: Before The Beginning was put in the cans as the team decided to revamp the series with a new director. Kunal Deshmukh and Ribhu Dasgupta had replaced Deva Katta and the prep work also began in the month of July 2021,β revealed a source.
However, it all hit a standstill again towards the end of 2021. βThe work done on ground in terms of pre-production couldnβt exactly be in sync with the vision that Netflix had for this period drama. After a series of discussions and contemplations, they decided to shelve the project at this point of time. Some extra money which was invested in the prep work too has been considered bad-dates for now. The approx. figure invested in Bahubali: Before The Beginning was Rs 150 crore,β a source added. The team apparently felt that itβs better to stop the project even before the shoot, instead of investing another Rs 200 crore on a product thatβs substandard.
βBahubali is a cult in todayβs time and they didnβt want to take the risk of meddling with something that has an iconic status. They may revisit it again, but this time around, only when the material on paper is strong enough to justify the legacy,β the source informed. The reworked version was supervised by Bombay Fables, who were involved in the creative front. Earlier it was Swastik Productions. Mrunal Thakur too had walked off the series with Wamiqa Gabbi signing on to play Shivagami. Buzz is, Nayanthara was also approached for a key role, but one doesnβt have a confirmation on the same. Bahubali franchise was fronted by Prabhas with Rana Daggubati as the antagonist.

Back in 2017-2018, when Baahubali 2 released and became an all-time blockbuster, there were reports of a 1000-crore Mahabharata duology adapted from the Malayalam classic Randamoozham, which told the epic from the perspective of Bhima. The movie was going to be financed by a Dubai based businessman and star Mohanlal as Bhima in the lead role. The script was also written by the author of the novel. But since then there have been no recent news about the movie. Has it been shelved or in developement hell?

After holding back on the theatrical release of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, Manish Shah is all set to release the film on his TV channel, Dhinchaak. The producer in an exclusive chat with Pinkvilla had spoken about the idea of a satellite premiere and informed that he canβt disappoint the Allu Arjun fans who have been waiting to experience the Trivikram directed family comedy in Hindi.
Manish Shah, who is the promoter of Goldmines Films, informs that they have not compromised on any aspect for the Hindi version. βYou wonβt find any regional references in the Hindi dubbed version. There is a board room sequence in the original where Allu Arjun is singing songs from South films, we have got it all changed to Hindi songs,β he says.
Manish further adds that they have got dubbing, writing and singing done from a team of professionals. βWe have spent Rs 2 crore on the dubbing. In-fact, all the songs from Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo has been dubbed in Hindi by the same set of singers, who sung the songs in Telugu,β he shares. The film will premiere on television on February 6, and Manish is confident that Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo will break the TRP records set by Akshay Kumarβs Laxmii.

I am very clear that all the big films will be preserved. Going ahead to explain this strategy, he says that he wouldnβt want the audience to opt for comfort viewing on OTT as per their convenience.
βIt will only be on Dhinchaak, not even my YouTube channel. None of my new films will come on YouTube, it will all be on TV.Β Today, it is said that television is snack viewing, I want to convert that to appointment viewing. You can only do that by ensuring that the content is not easily available. Suppose, a movie is premiered on a channel once a month, you will have to come back to the channel and be attentive while watching the movie,β he explains, and adds, βWhen content is easily available, you are not attentive. People are saying television is dying, I want to prove that it is not. You get numbers on television.β

The blockbuster success ofΒ Pushpa: The Rise β Part 01Β has finally put the spotlight on Goldmines Telefilms, headed by the enterprising Manish Shah. Many might not know him but heβs the one who introduced the idea of releasing dubbed films on satellite channels more than a decade ago. In short, itβs thanks to him that crores of people across the country are getting their daily dose of entertainment! Itβs also thanks to him that the industry with a turnover of Rs. 800-1000 crore a year has been created and is growing each year.
The first South fare acquired by Manish Shah was the Telugu filmΒ MassΒ (2004), which was released in Hindi on TV asΒ Meri Jung - One Man ArmyΒ in 2007. As per a 2021 interview of Manish Shah, the films then used to enjoy a TRP of around 0.8.Β Meri Jung - One Man Armyβs TRP, meanwhile, was a mind-boggling 1.2. And the rest is history as non-South speaking audiences became as acquainted with the names of the Southern actors and actresses and their films as their Southern counterparts. In an exclusive interview withΒ Bollywood Hungama, Manish Shah, currently the biggest player in the dubbing industry, speaks about the success ofΒ Pushpa: The Rise β Part 01, future plans and also opens up about the YouTube channel of Goldmines Telefilms, currently Indiaβs fourth most subscribed channel with 60 million plus subscribers.
Did you expectΒ Pushpa: The Rise β Part 01**βs Hindi version would do so well?**
I never expected itβll be such a huge hit. I was confident itβll succeed at the box office. ParΒ itni badi hit ho jaayegi, yeh nahi pata tha. Itβs all because of luck. The first week collections were Rs. 27.50 crores and in the second week, the film collected around Rs. 20 crores. Usually, if a film collects Rs. 47.50 crores in the first two weeks, the lifetime of such a film is expected to be around Rs. 60 crores. In short, the first two weeks gives you 80-85% of the collections of a film.Β Pushpa: The Rise β Part 01, however, is a unique case where the collections of the first two weeks are going to be 50% of the lifetime and the balance
