Worth going to a Tar Heels basketball game?

So i'm visiting the Raleigh area from California for work and considering going to the game tomorrow vs Michigan. Ive been going to different college football games around the south and love it. But im not a huge fan of college basketball, so I would only consider going if visiting the Dean Smith Center is a "great" atmosphere. Tickets are only $30 but whats with the 9:15 start time as well. What do you think? Will it be a unique fun experience or is the atmosphere kind of so so?
