A list of puns related to "Tabletop role playing game"
Hi everyone, Iβm A PhD student at the University of Melbourne, Australia. Iβm currently researching Tabletop Role-playing Games, Well-being and Mental Health. Iβm looking for research participants to complete an online survey exploring Tabletop Roleplaying Games and Mental Health. The only requirements for participation are being over 18 years old, and having played a TRPG for at least 6 months. If you are interested please follow this link which includes the research plain language statement and survey https://melbourneuni.au1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_2uCkRrnZKO9MnVc
The survey will take approximately 25-30 mins to complete and is best completed on a desktop, but is still compatible with smart phones.
Iβll do my best to respond to questions here. However, if would like more information or have any concerns, you can contact me on my student email p.mclaren@student.unimelb.edu.au
Edit: A few typos were pointed out which I've fixed. If you notice more please let me know.

Iβm posting this for my wife because she does not have a reddit account yet.
The video is about harassment and discrimination at the RPG table. She talks experiences she has had as both a player and GM. She also reads some stories from other individuals in the RPG community.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Edit: Thanks for all of the responses. We have both been reading all of them.
We've decided to open our playtest a bit more - after all, the more feedback the better! Discord server is live, with all the key character creation tools (and soon the full alpha ruleset).
If you don't mind playing games that are rough around the edges or would simply love to take a look, you're more than welcome! Join us here: https://discord.gg/tSc8Mc
The number of invites is limited (because bots are scary)! If you can't join, DM me directly or comment under this post, I'll update the link!

Hello Guardians,
I've recently finished, with friends of mine, a project I was working on for months now.
I am a big fan of the destiny universe, but also a tabletop rpg game master, and player (even if, as a play, I, most of the time, do bulsh*t).
I play, with friends, games like Warhammer 40k, or Call of Cthulhu, but I wanted a game where you can play a guardian.
Where you can go explore the solar system, and pop a super.
A game where you can hunt for the footsteps of the Shadows of Yor,
arm wrestling with Lord Shaxx,
and... Well... This kind of stuff you know. Cool stuff.
So I worked on it. The project isn't finished yet, but actually, it is completely playable.
(Oh, by the way, I'm french. So everything on the website is french. Une Baguette on you.)
Here is the website I've created for the project :
Here is the web page of the First Campain I've created for my players (accessible from the website) :
https://www.destinyjdr.com/themessage.html
This project is under the MIT licence. Everything is customisable. You can download the sheets, help me building up the project, or create an english version as you want.
I originaly started this project only to make my friends discover the Universe. Through this, I'm only posting this to share my project to the community.
All of this is just a compendium of non-profit love, created only for entertainment purposes, containing works inspired by the video games Destiny β’ (2014), and Destiny 2 β’ (2017), published by Bungie Inc.. These works are shared in an environment of fair, honest and just use. This work does not demonstrate any copyright infringement.
Just don't hesitate to reply to this post, to tell me what you are thinking of the project,
Have a nice day guardian,
Ben
It seems that the phrases role-play and roleplaying have quite a few uses in general life, from crpgs to management courses to... er, bedroom stuff.
Should there be a word purely for people who like pen'n'paper roleplaying games just to avoid confusion?
I was going to suggest Gygaxologist but google autocorrects it to gynecologist.

... keep reading on reddit β‘Hey, I'm super excited to have published my first games on itch.io! I would like to share the news with all of you.
The first entry is an old submission to a design challenge, which I expanded through eight different scenarios. Together, they form a nanoantology of games that share the feeling of road movies.
https://runicagames.itch.io/slow-fire
The second entry is a game based on Jaren Sorensen's InSpectres. But here, the tone is not comedy, but arctic drama. A stranded crew has to survive until next summer, fighting cold and despair.

I invite you to visit the store, grab some community copies, and maybe even tip a few bucks.
See you!
Note: The title got messed up a little on the title, I originally posted something similar in the r/HildaTheSeries area, and thought I would share it here, and forgot to correct that.
Does anyone know of a little Netflix show called Hilda? It's a children's show about an adventurous girl who has magical adventures in a fictional, semi-Scandinavian world. As a big fan of the show and Tabletop RPGs, I decided to try and combine the two. I developed a custom RPG System, based around that show, and I would like to share and get some feedback.
It uses a d6 system, which is pretty simplistic, and Simple is what I was going for. This system should be intuitive and very easy to use, so that anyone of all ages can understand and use it. The main difference between is mine and other d6 systems is it is a completely custom built RPG system made just for this Hilda game, and centers around the idea of creating your own Sparrow Scouts (The show's version of Boy/Girl/Explorer Scouts) and going on magical adventures.
I have a current Work In Progress Homebrew PDF that you can look at. The system is all set up and there, but some of the main features, like the Badges, Items, and Stats for the Creatures are not there yet.
But for right now, you can see how the system is set up: https://homebrewery.naturalcrit.com/share/ryQmAOI5lN (It's best viewed on Chrome, or in a PDF Reader, trust me, I have Firefox and it does NOT look as pretty) To make the PDF look right, be sure to set the page size as A4.
Please note this is VERY much a Work in Progress, but any and all constructive criticism and advice is greatly accepted!
Update Note: I added Hilda, Frida and David as a list of Sparrow Scout Examples at the end of Part One!
Update Note Two: For anyone that wants a PDF Copy of what I have so far, you can find one here: Hilda, An Unofficial RPG It is a Dropbox link, and will be updated when I feel like I've made enough progress to warrant another PDF upload, so probably after I've made the Badges at least.
Update: The badges are listed, with their requirements, and effects! The Dropbox PDF has been updated as well!
Looking for a friendly group or other players. I really want to learn to play DnD but very open to other systems. Pretty much any weekday.

This may be off-topic, as it's not related to real-life rabbits, but I've always been curious about an rpg called "Bunnies & Burrows". It's similar to Dungeons & Dragons, but the setting is based upon the novel Watership Down, and the player characters are all field rabbits living among woods, farms, streams, and so on! The rabbits have various personalities and roles to play, and must adventure to gather food, dig burrows, and protect their homes from nefarious critters and farmers.
Evidently the game was ground-breaking for its time, and even included a chapter on the society of intelligent rabbits, how they count by thumping their feet, what their culture is like, even bunny martial arts and so on! A game company even produced a line of miniature rabbit figurines for the game that could be painted, to represent your character on the game table.
I swear I'm not making this up, this is a real thing that existed: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bunnies_%26_Burrows
There's even a kickstarter to publish a 3rd edition of the rules that completely met its funding goal, and hardcover books are available: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/froggodgames/bunnies-and-burrows
Does anyone here have even a vague inkling of what I'm talking about? I've been playing rpgs for the last 35 years or so, and have yet to actually meet anyone that's played it, or even seen a physical copy, yet the game enjoys a certain cult status in rpg circles!
If this is too off-topic, mods, please feel free to remove it, I won't argue about it, but this seems like a forum where people might actually know about it or be interested in it!

100 Fantasy Portraits for Tabletop Role-playing Games
This is a simple project with a simple goal: to provide 100 fantasy portraits for use in your tabletop role-playing games. Referees are always on the lookout for NPC faces to show their players and players are always looking for portraits for their character sheets.Β This project aims to meet that need. The portraits will be organized into the following sets:
Each set will contain ten portraits, half male and half female. With the exception of the human nobles and peasants, the portraits will be a spread of adventuring classes. The Zine will have a simple elegant layout with 10 portraits per two-page spread, and organized in the above groups.
There will be no blocks of text and no fluff to get in the way. That way this book can be used right at the table, as and when needed, for example when the referee suddenly needs an NPC to drop into the game.
We are using a single artist to do all the artwork. This is because MARCINs is a wonderfully talented artist and because we want there to be a coherent and unified style to the whole project.
If you have liked any of my stuff, like HexFlower Game Engines, procedural adventures, Excel-based RPG tools etc., I hope you will check this out.
:O)
Hi everyone, I hope it is ok to post this here.
This Scavenger project into which I've poured a lot of work is now finally on Kickstarter. I did all the art and my friend did the writing and the game design. Now we ask for help to make this project a reality.
SCAVENGER: NOMADS OF UNCHARTED WORLDS is an artbook, fiction anthology, and 5E campaign setting that takes place in the dying bronze age world of Akara. You, the scavengers, must travel into the uncharted and alien World Torn Apart to save your home, your loved ones, and everything else that you value.
The book features the following
β’ Playtested and elegant rules changes for 5E to match these esoteric rules, as well as an expanded bestiary and the new shard-powered magical items.
β’ The Scavenger Paradigms, which are new ways to explore 5th Edition classes.
β’ New magic items and ways to craft through the world-warping shardstones.
β’ Party patrons and a new experience system.
β’ Information on Akaraβs fading cultures and adventure sites in both Akara and the World Torn Apart.
β’ A buttload of prose and poems to really hammer in the culture and feel of the setting.
β’ Amazing art done by Alexandru Negotia exclusively.
Me and the writer have co-created this project and have put our souls into this. This is our first Kickstarter, and weβve hired people to ensure that we create a fantastic, well-designed product that will get to your tables. If youβre interested, check out the page, see the amazing art, and consider supporting us in achieving this dream.

Eyes up Guardian,
I've been working on this project for a few months now and since all of Destiny is down today I decided this could be T&T's time to shine!
If you are a fan of TTRPGs like Dungeons and Dragons or similar games you might be interested in Traveler and Taken. The core rulebook is called The Tower. Roll up a guardian of your favorite class, and go fight back the darkness with your Light and a fistful of dice.
Let me know about any mistakes, ambiguous rules, or other feedback in the comments on this post, as a post or comment in the subreddit, or the discord.
Check it out at r/destinytnt
So a few years ago I watched a movie on Netflix about these three guys who played this fantasy board game that made them blackout and kill people at night thinking they were their board game characters living out the fantasy world of the game. They all become obsessed with the game and canβt stop playing it and at the end the police are interrogated one of them and he completely believes he has become his role playing character and thereβs this back and forth where the cops say βitβs just a game, and he responds βitβs not a gameβ and they say it back and forth like way too many times and eventually the guy starts screaming βITS NOT A GAME!β And Iβm pretty sure thatβs how it ended. It was like a really cheap looking movie and it kind of sucked but it really stuck with me for some reason and now I cannot find a trace of it anywhere and itβs driving me crazy.
I love Delta Green and Call of Cthulu and would love to run games for anyone interested. My apartment is small but have had a blast at Pawn and Pint and Level One. (P&P is a bar that hosts board games and RPGs)
Iβve played a non real version of dnd, in programming class last year my group got done with the daily work really fast every time, so one guy had the idea to play DND, he picked who we played as and we just kinda goofed off at the end, there was never any npc or a story we just made decisions and he described what happens and our surroundings, I would love to play it for real but sadly I donβt have many friends irl so Iβm on here looking for people who would wanna teach/ play with me! If your interested my discord is austinurbana#7737
I'm not talking about electronic games, computer, cell phone or otherwise, I'm looking for old style tabletop role playing games that are preferably centered around Voyager, or alternatively centered in the general star trek universe.
Thanks!!
