A list of puns related to "Cyberpunk (role playing game)"
Important note: I won't answer any questions regarding CP2077 or the inner working of CDProjekt RED. It's too easy to extrapolate from seemingly innocent answers, so I won't take the risk of breaching my NDA (non-disclosure agreement).
My platform RoleGate was launched 5 months ago and is getting quite popular. I had to go through some failures along the way, so I am more than happy to share my story and potentially help other people out there. :)
I know what the game is.Β I'm just wondering why this copypasta is suddenly popping up and where it came from.
Full copypasta is:
> Cyberpunk 2077 is an upcoming role-playing video game developed and published by CD Projekt, releasing for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on 16 April 2020.
I did see another example where the user (not a mod) just replied to another user's completely unrelated comment with the copypasta, but I can't find it now. Almost everyone replying to the copypasta, in true Reddit fashion, acted like it was completely normal, and those who didn't get it were ignored, so I wouldn't have gotten an answer that way.
Hi, guys!
Might be a stretch, but who knows, perhaps you'd like to learn about a few games that allow you to play in a reality of cyberpunk? So it happens that there was a guy who decided to address this topic. These are his articles covering the most famous games (and a few more obscure ones) released in the period of 1988 an 2003.
Personally I'm a big fan of KURO, one of most recent games blending cyberpunk with supernatural horror, in the setting of futuristic Japan. It's one of games that's not described in above articles, but since it's an ongoing series of entries, I expect it to be mentioned in the future.
Anyway, have fun!
Figured I should ask someone more knowledgeable than myself on these issues. Do you think existing gender roles will be more prominent? Less prominent? Will gender barriers be crossed more often? Clarification: "near-future" meaning 2051.

I cannot make this system crash!! Nothing I throw at will throw an error, no BSOD, nothing. Temps are great and it just lets me beat the crap out of it for hours on end and takes it like a champ!
I can play Final Fantasy XIV for hours on end and it runs great. Iβve only had that game crash one time and it was after playing for several hours.
However any game thatβs more intense...forget about it. Control will crash within 10-20min every time, Cyberpunk 2077 will always crash within 5-15min every time, and CoD:MW will always crash within 20min.
I have no idea what else to try.
Im playing cyberpunk on my 4k TV. When I start the game, its very dark and dim. However when I'm in stadia menu, it bright. Anyone else had this problem.
Edit: thanks everyone! Turned off HDR and it works βΊ
Hi there !
I am considering offering a TRPG service (dungeons & dragons like) targeted at people learning french.
If you have a moment to spare, you can help me understand better how popular such a service would be by filling this form:
[CONTENT WARNING: This story gets really gross at the end. If you, understandably, have any sensitivities regarding sexual assault, I recommend giving this one a pass. Stay safe.]
When I was around 12 years old, I was introduced to TTRPGs and got super into them. Well, more or less. I never had many friends, and the ones I had were very much not the imaginative type, so without even a potential group to play with me, what I mean by "got really into them" is "I'd listen to this DnD podcast without ever bothering to read any sort of playbook".
That was, until two years later.
I was visiting my cousin at the time. He's 5 years older than me, which would make him 19 at the time iirc. I probably mentioned that DnD podcast to him at some point, and he said he had a TTRPG party that I could join for a session or two. It felt like a dream come true. I had this interest for years now, and never got around to actually trying it out, but here was the perfect opportunity.
Spoiler warning: it was not perfect, and barely qualified as an "opportunity".
Ok so, first thing, he """helped""" me to make my character sheet. For context, the system we're using is called "Tormenta". I don't know how well-known it is outside of Brazil, but for all purposes, it's just DnD with a couple quirks that aren't relevant to this story.
I decide to play as a halfling rogue who uses a crossbow and has a lot of charisma. The process of filling the sheet gave me the first signs of the stress I was about to endure. It's probably a good time to mention that, today, I am openly bisexual and trans, but at the time, being a 14 year-old raised in a town where the [Brazilian equivalent to the] f-slur is dropped as often as "good morning", I was very much in the closet, and even not entirely sure on what was going one with the gender stuffs. But I was... Experimenting. And a role-playing game seemed like the perfect opportunity to try out literally be referred to as another gender.
So I tell my cousin my character is a girl. His immediate response is "Nah, quit that pussy shit". I really wanted to play, so I just shrug it off and kept making the sheet. Or, well, he kept making the sheet, since whenever I tried to add points to something that deviated from what he called a "good rogue build", he'd just ignore me and do whatever he thought was best, same with equipment. And I shrugged it all off. I just really wanted to RP, and thought that, even if that wasn't the character I wanted to

He was a key member in the development of their latest encryption software and they want him back- or at least they donβt want anyone else to have him.
You accept the contract and begin mission brief. Each player selects a role and you sit down to come up with a plan of attack. Iβve imagined the roles as follows:
Face β Charming and silver tongued with a knack for improvisation and disguise. Youβll need to maneuver your way through conversations to gain access to off clearance sectors, cause distractions, and pilfer key information. Youβre the social engineer of the team.
Muscle β While your companions may know their way around a gun, you know your way around every gun... or sword, monofilament wire, explosives, exoskeleton, and prosthetic rocket propelled fist. Youβll need to be there when the going gets tough- and it always does. Whether it be hosting unexpected company, cutting through a blast door or hostage negotiations.
Technician β Keyboard cadet and cyberspace cowboy. Youβll need to use your skills to extract data, disable security and surveillance, as well as feed information to the Operator to make sure the mission goes smoothly.
Operator β Keep talking and nobody explodes. Eye in the sky, reassuring voice and the architect of the operation. The only member with all of the pieces to the puzzle, itβs up to you to put them together. Youβll have access to building plans, company directories, a search engine, hostile radio chatter, and electronics schematics. Youβll need to work with the Technician to fill in the blanks, provide the Face details about the Suit theyβre intercepting, and tell the Muscle theyβve got sixty seconds to clear the room or theyβre in for a fight.
My idea for this in my head has the Face, Muscle and Technician using a third person shooter-style perspective and all having access to a sidearm but the core mechanics being fairly different between each. The Operator would likely be an off-site player in first person with a sort of series of monitors and screens displaying all of the information they have available as well as team vitals, and a mission clock. The overall focus of the game would be complete interplay between the roles required to succeed.
The Face core gameplay loop would be more dialogue oriented with a timed βselect an optionβ chat system. Other roles would also en

I'm curious to see what everyone likes to do outside of missions and heists, particularly the wierd/ "just because" things or something you do to make a personality for your character. Like my character has a murderer persona, complete with a specific outfit and mask. She goes out walking at night and stabs people with a switchblade. This has actually helped me grind up some rp, depending on how long I can evade the cops. I'm still low level though bc I just prefer playing solo.
What do you guys do? Also ok this also goes into "story" territory so let me know if I need to change tags.
Edit: I also just got on for the first time since the update, and going to dance in the club is definitely going to be a new favorite hobby
I'm about 60 hours in and am doing a good deal of gigs and side jobs so I doubt I am that close to completing the game yet. To me this has been one of the best gaming experiences of my adult life. I have been playing on visual mode using a CCU running 4K HDR and besides the game being beautiful it has real substance. I can't remember being hooked on a game like this for a long while. Which is why it is so strange seeing the game and its developers being publically crucified in the press.
Is the Stadia version really that much better than the versions on other dedicated gaming platforms? I keep marveling at the scale of this game and while I have encountered a couple of bugs there aren't any more than I have seen in other major releases of this scale over the past decade (Where were the torches and pitchforks for the AC: Valhalla devs?). The game seems like a major undertaking and accomplishment by the developers. Perhaps how Stadia has been treated in the press since its launch has made me a bit more skeptical of the press in general so it is even harder for me to take the hate Cyberpunk 2077 is getting seriously. I'm I alone in thinking the game is an absolute masterpiece on Stadia?
