TIL that up to 6% of the population have a condition called Polythelia, which causes a third, fully-formed nipple to appear on the body. The most common place for this "Supernumerary Nipple" to appear is in the arm pits, which lie along the "Milk Line."

Should I get a second opinion or go with my regular dentist even though they’re not 100% sure if a tooth I need extracted is an extra cusp/supernumerary?
I can’t get an X-ray or picture very well due to the nature of the tooth/cusp in question. I don’t smoke or have any health conditions. I have a spare tooth/cusp forming on one of my molars and my orthodontists are doing treatment for me with Invisalign. Severe overcrowding, overjet. 4 premolars already extracted. I want to extract the spare tooth/cusp but they think it might just be a cusp because it’s so close to the tooth so that would mean I can’t extract it. The orthodontist said in a letter it’s a cusp since floss can’t be put between the molar and tooth. I can, however and have been putting floss between it every time I brush. The only issue is the floss doesn’t go past a certain point which is the top of the molar and cusp/supernumerary. The top of the tooth in question comes out of the gum where I assume the root of the original molar is. Went to dentist got x-rayed (might be able to ask for it) and they can’t tell if it’s on the molar/root of the original tooth. The only way they said we’ll know is to try and extract it. But I don’t want to be in a chair numbed up for them to say they’ve tried elevating the tooth and that it’s fixed onto the molar so they can’t extract it. I want to be able to know for certain beforehand so, should I go to another dentist for a second opinion? Or what would you advise? I know advise is probably limited with lack of pic/xray so I will do my best to get this and appreciate any opinions/advice thank you
