Was wondering since I've been doing an RFK-Glenn run and around 1971 or 72 I think, I got Spartan Discipline.
I know the Burgundians cam get it and I can kinda figure what Spartan Discipline would be in those nations (absolute training from hell, starvation, Darwinism and eugenics to get peak soldiers, etc.) But what would Spartan Discipline be like in a more Democratic (or at the very least, less insane than Burgundy) nation?
Halo Infinite. One of the bigger games I have been looking forward to exploring it's pre-release headlines. Arguably the biggest game of not only the year, but depending on who you ask, is the headline game of the generation so far.
The follow up game to 2015's Halo 5: Guardians was always going to be massive. While 343 Industries let down many fans who adore the story these games have offered, the general consensus is that the game's online component was a near must-play experience.
So, where does this journey take us? An interesting toy leak, some "leaked" screenshots, and rumours of a shadow launch dominate the pre-release this time round.
Without further ado, let's jump right in.
SPOILER WARNING FOR THE CAMPAIGN, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
Xbox Dynasty is our first major source of information for the game, sharing that the game will have a $500 million USD budget! The article is referencing a podcast where game producer Ralf Adam is having a discussion and is asked specifically about the budget, to where he also confirms that the budget is only accounting for development costs - not including any marketing. This was apparently overheard at GDC, which he allegedly triple checked that it was true.
For comparison, Cyberpunk 2077 is officially the most expensive released video game at $173 million, however there are unconfirmed high budgets for other games. Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption 2 comes in at an estimated 200-300 million, Grand Theft Auto V at $265 million, and Square Enix's disappointing Marvel's Avengers at $170 million. So, what does this mean for Infinite?
Nothing. This is all debunked by Frank O'Connor, saying how hearing something at GDC is about as reliable as the claim that your uncle works at Nintendo.
Outcome? False.
YouTuber Brad Sams has the next juicy claim for the game, cllaiming that now he has overhead that the game will have a Battle Royale mode. It is interesting to note t

Zachary Dash from Blockzero Labs here! Over the course of 2021, I asked 47 different Web3 founders, investors, thought leaders, and developers one question:
"What do you believe that a majority of people in crypto disagree with you on?"
Here are their answers:
---------------------------------
1/ βI would rather see crypto literally go to zero than have billions of people onboard to crypto tomorrow, or even next year. Web3 is only worth having if it results in more freedom, more choice, more privacy for the individual. But until we stop treating βnumber go upβ as winning, we arenβt actually valuing our values and we wonβt be successful in building a fundamentally better system.β

2/ βCrypto doesnβt need legacy institutions on board to achieve mass adoption. They will adapt, or be replaced. No amount of political or cultural resistance can flatten the arc of progress.β

3/ βLong-term, many NFTs will go to zero, simply because no one will want to buy them at some point in the future. And this may especially be true for many with roadmaps which have teams that fail or abandon them.β

This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.

There was a post a couple of weeks ago asking for ideas for characters in a post-Event Greece. I submitted a few thoughts with the last one being about Sparta. We all know Sparta. But how would a new Sparta in a Post-event world form? What would it look like? What would set it apart from other nations in-game?
After the Event we see people everywhere grasping for anything to make sense of the new world and to survive. Modern-day Sparta is a city of only about 35,000 people. It is also very conservative. It would make sense that a conservative, smaller city would look back on its famous past to re-find a new (old) identity. Maybe it becomes a military dictatorship early on in its history and turns into a monarchy or even military oligarchy in much the same way the Roman Republic was around the time of Marius.
Ancient Sparta was known for its stoicism, hard lifestyle, martial spirit, and elite citizen soldiers. These all (ostensibly) stem from Lycurgus, the famous Spartan lawgiver. In much the same way that the ideas of Confucius became synonymous with eastern Asian cultures (filial piety, ancestor veneration, a strong education and bureaucratic system) the ideals of Lycurgus became the ideals of Spartan culture. He made land reforms, switched the currency from silver and gold to iron, developed the training regimen of all boys, athletic exercise for women, etc. It would be these ideas that a new Sparta would try to emulate.
Economy: The economy of Sparta would be pretty bad by itself. Lycurgus instilled a spirit of frugality. He got rid of the silver and gold currency. Instead, he made the coins iron in a sort of fiat currency. The idea was that nobody would want to trade using Spartan coins. This would force Spartan people to get their money from something besides trade. In-game Sparta would have heavy economic debuffs. They wonβt be able to build trade posts. It would generally be very rough. To offset this we get the Helots.
Helots: The infamous slave class of Sparta, they would be a bit different here. Originally the Helot class came from Laconia and Messenia. Neighboring city-states conquered by Sparta to provide the vast bulk of the labor. This is why Spartan males were able to practice their martial skills so much, they had a proto-serf class doing the boring, necessary stuff. In-game these would be special tribut
