A list of puns related to "Solid state battery"
Solid Power - The Leader in Next Generation Solid State Batteries
Who is Solid Power?
Solid Power is making a βNew Breed of Batteryβ namely solid state batteries primarily for Electric Vehicles (βEVsβ). They have been in R&D mode for the last 8 years and are now ramping towards production and will be the first to commercial production using existing lithium battery manufacturing facilities. The advantages of moving to solid state batteries are many but some main ones include:
What is even more exciting are their partners and investors
Ford has committed to a joint venture with Solid Power and plans to eventually incorporate their batteries into its EVs. Ford is projecting that it will be producing 600,000 EVs by 2023 (Source: https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/ford-plans-to-increase-ev-production-to-600000-vehicles-by-2023/ar-AAQSlV5) making Ford the second largest EV producer after Tesla.
BMW may also soon be a completely electric vehicle company with Germany planning to phase out all petrol and diesel vehicles by 2030 (Source: https://www.lifegate.com/germany-electric-cars)
It's not only the private sector that loves Solid Power. The U.S government has given them multiple grants and contracts going back to 2013 to fund their R&a

Investorplace videos are like bad infomercials, and Luke Lango sounds like a total douche, but he's supposedly a good stock picker. And he's picked Ilika https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/ILIKF?p=ILIKF as a next potential big stock. Does anyone have experience trading this stock? Apparently it has a subreddit already. They have links to an investor update from earlier this year that shows some data and Gant charts for their small and large scale batteries.

Edit: or maybe it's Panasonic? I'm watching this video and the dude never mentions the ticker.
Pretty impressive patent GRANTED in September to Solid Power. Perhaps what caused SK to jump on board at that time.
I am not a solid state battery expert, but I do find it interesting that they are using a z-fold technique that greatly simplifies the production process. Also, that they can pack one battery after another in series, cut a hole through the middle, etc.
Basically, these guys have production in mind at all times, and the fact that the battery is actually solid state (as opposed to the QS battery), it has some unexpected versatility I donβt think people think about.
Anyway, the patent is here. I canβt wait to have one of these in an EV, yes, but my iPhone really wants one, too!

Toyota has been promising for years debit of solid state batteries at 2020 Olympics:

They even got an extra year to their deadline, yet prototypes are nowhere to be seen. So when are we going to see Toyotas solid states are nowhere to be seen...
NIO is hosting its fifth annual βNIO Dayβ event in Suzhou (in-person) this coming Saturday, December 18th where it will officially unveil at least one new model, set to enter production in the second half of next year. This model will be the ET5 midsize sedan and will be NIO's highest volume vehicle thus far with starting price in the low 300,000 RMB ($46,000) range. Previously, analysts also expected another major product unveil (i.e., 6th vehicle in line-up) but based on recent social media posts and comments from the company, it would appear this next vehicle may be properly introduced at a different event later on. To be clear though, the company still very much plans to deliver this vehicle in 2H22. Beyond this, analysts expect further details on the ET7 ahead of 1Q22 customer deliveries, hybrid solid state battery (4Q22), next-gen autonomous driving capabilities, and Europe market expansion.
