A list of puns related to "Slash fiction"
I think I almost threw up by how uncomfortable I got watching that
I think this fic must have been on Fictionpress, but I've looked through my favorite stories and authors and can't find it. This one is old, the only thing I can say is that it's probably pre 2010.
This is what I remember. There is a young new prince (king? I don't remember) of a planet in a sci fi world. I don't remember the exact details, but the prince is super violent and bratty and way have taken over through a coup. He has a much older slave that has been sold and resold a lot, and the prince loves him. I remember there was one particular plot point where the prince wanted to go out to a club in the city, and specifically wanted to dress as if he was a slave and the older man was his master. I think in the end there's some plot point where some outside force tries to take over and they have to take back power. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
I read somewhere here that the website ffn doesn't allow smut anymore? This is news to me because I posted a few smutty stories a few months back, no problem. But now I'm wondering what will happen if I try to post one now? Does anyone know anymote about this???
Edit: w-why is this post getting downvoted to hell? It's just an innocent question! Sheesh!
Anything with someone closer to his age? Like Snape, Regulus, Sirius, etc .
Most of the time I see Lucius with anyone its usually someone in Harry's age and not the biggest fan of those but I don't really come across any good ones with people closer to his age. Wondering if anyone has recs
thatβs it thatβs the post
Hello! I am a producer on a love & sex podcast and I'm working on an episode about fanfiction - specifically about women who write gay male slash fiction. Since Kirk/Spock is the couple that started this whole genre, I'd LOVE to talk to women who were writing Kirk/Spock fiction in the early days of Star Trek fandom. Or really any female slash writers who were writing fanfiction before the internet was widely available.
Is there anyone here who fits that description who would be up to talk? Or are there particular slash fiction writers from those days that are still active? Don't worry, it would not need to involve any real names, if you aren't comfortable with that.
A question I've been pondering for a while. With shifting attitudes, and increased acceptance, we're starting to see a rise in canonical representation of same-sex relationships across a wide assortment of genres. Star Trek: Discovery is just one such example. In light of that, does the term "slash fiction" need to be redefined?
For years, all same-sex fanfic stories have been lumped under the genre of "slash." But with characters like Staments and Culber in Discovery, or Sara Lance and Nyssa on Arrow, are stories featuring these canonical relationships still "slash"? Or are they just, you know, stories?
I'm starting to feel that continuing to use "slash" as an umbrella for all fanfic about same-sex or queer relationships might be doing a disservice to the community at large, unintentionally downplaying the significance of these canonical relationships -- and the progress they represent -- by setting them apart from general fanfic.
So, is "slash" still functional as a term the way it is? Or does it need to change? Should it only now refer to specifically depicting same-sex relationships between canonically "straight" characters? What about explicit Staments/Culber vs gen stories about them? Is the former still "slash," but the latter not? I'm sure there are other considerations to take into account, what might they be?
Now that things that would once have been considered "slash," are now canon and gen, what does/should "slash" mean going forward?
This is completely impossible. I'd get if it were a creature with superhuman strength using a magical sword or a sword made of something a lot stronger than steel or a character with human strength and a magical sword but a character with human like strength and a normal steel sword couldn't do it (the sword would just be deflected away) nor could a character with superhuman strength and a normal steel sword (the sword would either break or bend). And yet most fantasy shows it happen all the time (the orcs in the lotr movies vs the soldiers of Gondor, ser Jorah in got s08e03,...).
I recently moved up to the $8 level and started listening to The Nexus from the beginning. The end of episode 3 where Eric read part of a slash fiction between Picard and Data was one of the most uncomfortable and hilarious things Iβve ever heard. Are there any other instances where one or more of the gang is audibly disgusted?
I'm writing a fanfic that includes shipping, but doesn't revolve around it, and I'm planning on posting it to AO3. Would tagging the ship give readers the wrong idea, or am I overthinking it?
