A list of puns related to "Buffy The Vampire Slayer"
So I finished rewatching Buffy again and I started wondering what other TV shows I can watch that are the most similar to Buffy?
It got to me at the end when seeing Sara Michelle Gellarβs crumpled face when Sarah goddamn McLachlan kicks in. I get why this show was so popular. Such a great mix of action, drama and comedy. No weak characters and wonderful villains. Canβt wait for S3 and meet the Mayor! Does the quality of the show hold up for 7 seasons?

Buffy Summers is the last Slayer. Now in her 50s, she wages a one woman fight against the forces of darkness, who prey on humanity in the daylight unimpeded thanks to a magical catastrophe that has nearly blotted out the sun. The same disaster robbed Buffy of her friends and ended the Slayer-line, forcing her into an endless guerilla war.
That is, until she stumbles across something she hasnβt seen in a long time β hope, in the form of a prophecy and the young girl who carries it.

What is your favorite Season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer?
I tried watching season one many years ago but I got really bored. According to mauler it gets better later on, so I'm thinking of trying again but I don't want to sit through bad/not plot important episodes.
What episodes should I watch? When should I watch Angel?
Help.
Well-written and superbly acted recommendations would be a bonus, but not a necessity. I know that I'll probably still enjoy something slightly soapy (see Desperate Housewives) if it fits the criteria lol
EDIT: I posted a similar request yesterday but have since deleted it as I felt that it wasn't specific enough about what the things I'm looking for or the aspects of the shows that I liked and want to find in my next watch!
A dangerous new enemy has come Sunnydale. Can Buffy and the gang ward off this new threat to their town?
For those who don't know, Barbatorem, also known The Barber, is mid-tier demon of the Third Choir, the Choir of Ruin. It's a demon of reflections, specializing in attacking other practitioners (people who use magic) and bypassing their magical defenses. Some notes on its capabilities:
Demonic Nature
Reflection Travelling
Spiritual Mutilation
Round 1 - Buffy and the gang start off knowing next to nothing about the Barber at all.
Round 2 - Buffy and the gang start off knowing basic information about the Barber and its abilities.
I don't know how many people on this sub have watched Buffy the vampire slayer. So, if you havemn't then you might not know what I'm talking about. Oh and this should without saying but spoilers for Legacies 4x08 also.
Now, Buffy the vampire slayer is about a teenage girl named Buffy who known as the slayer. It is her destiny to fight and kill monsters which includes everything from vampires to demons to monsters from myth and legend. And she works in a high school with a group of friends who call themselves the Scoobies gang. And she has a guardian called a watcher whose job it is to teach everything she needs to fulfill her destiny. He is also a teacher at the school Buffy goes to. Does that sound familiar to anyone?
Now, all of that is to give you context because I just realized that Legacies is doing the same plot that Buffy did in its fourth season. Because in Buffy's fourth season they had this character named Faith who was a villain (well sort of it's actually really complicated and I don't think I could do it justice by trying to explain it) and she used a magical artifact to body swap with the main character Buffy. And while in Buffy's body she wreaked havoc with Buffy''s family and friends until they switched back. While Buffy was forced to live Faith's life.
Now, the reason why I'm even bringing this up is because I'm wondering if they're going to do something similar on Legacies. Because the body swap plot only lasted two episodes on Buffy (although those episodes did have lasting effects on everyone else afterwards) so could the same thing happen on Legacies as well. Meaning could Aurora and Hope only be body swapped for two episodes and then they switch back. Obviously Legacies is not Buffy but they do have a lot of similarities between them. I mean a lot. In fact Legacies has more on common with Buffy than it does with TVD or TO. Although it's starting to feel more and more like the Originals now. So, anyways what do you guys think will Hope and Aurora remain body swapped for long than two episodes or will it be like Buffy and last for only two episodes but will still affect the rest of the season?
Now, I did see an article talking about the actress who plays Aurora is going to be a recurring character on Legacies. Now that could mean that they plan on dragging out this body swap plot for a while or Aurora could go back to her body but will still pose a threat to Hope and the school. Now, if it's the second one then I will be cool wi

First I don't know if anyone here has watched Buffy the vampire slayer before so just in case you haven't than spoiler warning for Buffy ahead. Now, with that being said I've recently started watching Buffy the vampire slayer and white I'm currently on season two episode 15 I have a full understand of the whole series and it's spin-off Angel. And I can't help but notice that Legacies has a lot of similarities with Buffy and I mean a lot. In fact there's so many similarities that I don't have the time to list them all. (Although I think that's intentional since Brett Matthews the head writer for Legacies was actually a p.a. for Joss Whedon).
Since both shows have similarities or more accurately Legacies has similarities with Buffy I think that it would come as no surprise that a lot of the Legacies characters are similar to Buffy characters. And that's what I would like to talk to you guys about today. More specifically the super squad characters and how much they are like the Scooby gang from Buffy.
Lizzie is Cordelia the school mean girl who is actually one of the most caring and lovable characters on the show.
Josie is Willow. The shy nerdy best friend to the main heroine. Who becomes a badass powerful witch.
Alaric is kinda like Giles in that he's the main adult of the group and trains with the main heroine. But really I think Dorian is more of a Giles type character. (I only chose Alaric because Dorian is not a main cast member but in my opinion Dorian should definitely be Giles but again he's not around as much).
M. G. Is sorta like Xander although honestly I think he's more of a combination of a couple of characters from Buffy.
Clarke is like Spike. Because he was a villian at first but slowly became an ally to the group. Plus, he had a connection to Landon. Which brings me to...
Landon is like Angel. He's the main love interest for our heroine with a dark and troubled past.
And last but certainly not least there's Hope who is obviously going to be Buffy. But there's a catch. With her humanity on Hope is like Buffy. The main heroine of the story who struggles with her destiny but also desperately just wants to have a normal life and br a normal girl. And because of her destiny she goes through a lot of trauma. However, with her humanity off Hope is more like Faith Lehane. Who is basically a much darker version of the slayer. She is reckless and rebellious. She is carefree but also flawed. She likes her role as a slayer a little too m

Let me tell you something about Willow; sheβs a loser and always has been. People picked on Willow through junior high, high school, up until college, with her stupid mousy ways. And now? Willowβs a junkie. The only thing Willow was ever good for. The only thing I had going for me, were the moments β just moments β when Tara would look at me and I was wonderful. And that will never happen again. Please! This is your pitch? Buffy, you hate it here as much as I do, Iβm just more honest about it. Youβre trying to sell me on the world? The one where you lie to your friends when youβre not trying to kill them, where you screw a vampire just to feel, and insane asylums are the comfy alternative? This world? Buffy, itβs me. I know you were happier when you were in the ground. The only time you were ever at peace in your whole life was when you were dead. Until Willow brought you back, you know, with Magick?
Who am I?: Willow Danielle Rosenberg. At school, I keep to myself. Hanging out at the library studying as much as I can just to avoid Cordelia's mean remarks. When I met Buffy, I thought she's like Cordelia, but we became very close that I consider her my best friend. I became the resident research specialist of the Scooby Gang. Sure, some of their plans were reckless, but I understand why they're doing it. It felt nice being able to help my friends, whatever it takes. I even dabbled in the art of magic and I became competent enough help the Gang. At college, I met Tara. We grew closer and she helped me, not just be better at using magic, become a better person and be more confident and comfortable with myself. I got addicted to high-level dark) magick that Tara broke up with me. I stopped doing magick for her and reconciled until the Trio (Warren) killed her. I don't care about my friends and this town anymore. I WANT THEM DEAD!
Who am I talking to?: Buffy, my best friend who I would do everything for her. But this time, sheβs getting in my way.
Where am I?: Rack's house in Sunnydale. I just absorbed Rack's life force. He introduced me to this level of magick, might as well give me everything he offered.
What do I want?: I want Buffy to get

I just recently bought the Kristy Swanson and Luke Perry "Buffy" movie and it's not that bad I don't understand the lukewarm reception it got.
I know Whedon was disappointed that his vision was butchered by the studios during filming but it's still a fun horror comedy when you don't compare it to the tv series.
