A list of puns related to "Sitdown strike"
"The Flint Sit-Down Strike is known as the most important strike in American history because it changed the United Automobile Workers (UAW) from a collection of isolated individuals into a major union, ultimately leading to the unionization of the United States automobile industry.
General Motors (GM) provided many men in Flint, Michigan with jobs in the 1930βs, but the working conditions were horrible and the pay was unfair..."
History repeats itself. 90 years ago workers banded together to take on one of the largest corporations in the world and 44 difficult days later their demands were met and they were recognized as a union.
This doesn't sound terribly dissimilar from what's currently going on with Amazon. A setback in Alabama shouldn't be seen as defeat, rather it should be a reminder that support is needed far and wide when working people go up against big business.
There's a short video in the linked article and if you're interested in more details here's an hour long BBC documentary on the event.

IMPORTANT NOTES
Do your worst!
Since I'm not going to be buying anything due to these CRAZY prices, I'm entertaining myself crunching the numbers..
Here's what we have so far through day 2 - after 600 games sold:
Average hammer price per game: $3,999.08
Average price with all fees: $5,084.63 (+18% buyers premium, 7.75% sales tax)
Total hammer price after 600 games: $2,399,450.00
Total buyer's premium after 600 games: $491,901.00
Total sales tax after 600 games: $219,429.70
I assume very few buyers have a tax exempt certificate at the prices they're paying, not much room for resale.
Total paid for first 600 games: $3,050,780.70
This is based on assuming that sales tax would also apply to the buyer's premium.

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.

The Hart Foundation [Bret Hart & Jim Neidhart] w/Jimmy Hart vs. The Killer Bees [B. Brian Blair & Jim Brunzell]
Following their defeat at Wrestlemania 2, The Hart Foundation has gone on a massive winning streak, albeit often with help from their devious manager the Mouth of the South. Things are no different in this opening contest, as The Hart Foundation dispatches the Killer Bees with little difficulty.

The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers [Jacques & Raymond Rougeau] (c) vs. Nikolai Volkoff & The Iron Sheik w/Mr. Fuji
With the retirement of Freddie Blassie as an active manager, Mr. Fuji purchased all the contracts of Blassie's stable (which consisted of Volkoff, Sheik & David Sammartino), and the Foreign team had achieved new found success under the Devious One's tutelage. The Rougeau's had been highly successful inaugural champions, fending off several challengers, but finally ran out of luck here as Raymond was forced to submit to the Camel Clutch after Jacques was taken out by Fuji and Volkoff on the outside behind the referee's back.

Special Wager Match
"Adorable" Adrian Adonis w/Slick vs. Hillbilly Jim
*Despite gaining a victory over the hillbilly at Wrestlemania, the issue between Adonis and Jim had only escalated in the intermediary period. They decided on a final act of humiliation for one or the other. If Adonis won, then Hillbilly Jim would be forced to kiss Adrian's feet on live television. If Jim won though, then Adonis would be forced to kiss a pig instead. Unfortunately for The Adorable One, despite hooking Hillbilly Jim in the G
