A list of puns related to "Simulation video game"
Hello people
One month ago i started the creation of a video game with a graphic designer friend.
The goal is to make a game a bit like "The guild 2" but as a first person in a medieval steam punk universe.
We are very happy about where we go but we would love to work also with others (so much to do all alone). So if you could be interested in being part of a programming/designing project in game developpment and have some skills related, send me a message. I would be glad to explain you the details
PS > we do it for fun and there s no money involved YET (i say yet because then who knows where it would lead us. If we make it as good as we expect, maybe we could even make it for sale on steam and earn from it, but don t expect nothing. That would be more a plus) but it can be a nice experience to put in a CV.
Here a video about where we were a few weeks ago (the video is a bit outdated and we went farer from it since)
Right now I am really liking Need For Speed Heat and lean more towards arcade games. Forza Motorsport seems monotonous by comparison. You could never drive a Lamborghini off the side of a mountain with 20 cops on your tail in real life but you can in Need For Speed. I also do have multiple Forza games though so I can see the appeal to both kinds of racing games.

According to Guinness World Records:
> Elite was the first [ever] video game to feature a (3D) procedurally generated world, while Frontier: Elite II was the first game to feature procedurally generated star systems. Frontier: First Encounters was the first video game to contain procedurally generated terrain and textures.
> Procedural Generation uses random inputs to a computer βprocedureβ to create something unique that also adheres to certain rules, such as Elite IIβs star systems. These were generated by the game aggregating the mass of material within an early solar system into planets and moons that obey the laws of physics, but which have slightly randomised material distribution in order to ensure each systemβs uniqueness.
Emphasis mine.
The certificate says "The longest running space simulation series is Elite created by David Braben and Ian Bell and was released on 20 September, 1984. Officially amazing."

Hello,
I've started drafting a internet micronation with implemented UBI (a government simulation game).
There is going to be marketplace, education, jobs, crowdfunding, news, all that based on geolocation and independent currency (everyone will get 100 coins daily to spend + more if you are working, if you not use that coins, you lose it that day, and the next day is again 100 coins to spend + more if you are working).
I have this idea in my mind for way to long..
Are You interested in something like that?
The ultimate video game is a game simulating life to the fullest extent, who's to say we haven't done that and we are inside of the creation
An old simulation game, that i don't remember the name of. You play as a spaceship/aircraft on an earth like planet. And there are no humans, only ships like you, with random encounters and missions. I remember there was a toxic planet and in the end game you can see people in cryosleep. Also there were sentient mushrooms or something. basically, there are no livnigs thing only some sentient flora of random planets, some AIs and nothing much. If I remember correctly, the first ship you are given inthe game is in a form of letter X if you look from behind with a longer nose.
I wish the simulation hypothesis that we are AI minds experiencing an arteficial world were true in a way which guaranteed we were all reincarnated to different video games due to the firmly established AI rights laws of our higher dimensional programmers.

Iβve done salvia 10 times or so over the last few years, and have βbroken throughβ maybe 4 of those times. Every time, I get an overwhelming feeling of remembrance/deja vu, as if Iβm returning home. Itβs another dimension but it feels like thatβs actually where my consciousness is grounded, and I can only remember my origins when Iβm under the influence.
Last time I tripped (~10 days ago) I was able to directly communicate with these entities for the first time. It wasnβt really in Englishβmore like telepathy. Here is how the conversation went.
Entities: welcome home, family! this time, youβll surely be staying with us, yes?
Me: and what, am I supposed to just leave my other family behind? No! I am under the influence of a plant, it would be completely absurd for me to just leave right now!
Entities: you will join us eventually! You may as well do so now.
Me: you guys are messing with me, I need to leave now, please leave me alone. I have a life.
And then I snapped back out of it. Basically, my life feels like a simulation, and salvia acts as a sort of glitch in the matrix: an obscure plant with a long history but which is ultimately sold in seedy headshops in the modern day. When you (a live-action player) run into salvia, itβs like a cheat code in the game, and basically this socially constructed reality completely breaks away or is βunlocked.β Take note I have never played video games, this is just the best way I have of describing it.
It just feels like a lie, and like there is a substratum of reality that lies βunderneathβ this one. Itβs an incredibly metaphysical drug in that way.
I feel like I have another family in another dimension. In fact, Iβm almost convinced that they exist. Itβs only salvia that makes me get this overwhelming sense of βthe realβ (on other psychs, even on heroic doses, Iβm able to remind myself of my life and that it has a level of realness). Iβm a very mentally grounded/stable person, and I think thatβs why I was able to remain lucid enough to communicate this time around.
My consciousness feels like it has either been programmed by a superior being, or is rather accidental (part of a larger organism). In the first case, Maybe Iβm an experiment, in the 2nd, perhaps my world/existence is just the hallucinations of a tiny living cell that gained consciousness.
Sorry for these absolutely insane ramblings. I donβt think salvia has affected me negatively, but Iβm ext
... keep reading on reddit β‘Think droplet distortions on water, reflections of wet textures, think dynamic sound, individual 3D drops, changes in sound as you change your armour or go under a roof etc.
Attention to details kind of a game, that a clearly rain passionate person would design.
Thank you
Edit: Forgot to contribute Here's a really cool looking rain mod for Skyrim https://youtu.be/8lEF1Y6Gs1w?t=87 as you can see with the ENB, the shaders do a remarkable job at looking like real water dropplets are falling down from the sky.
EDIT2: u/Soalonesoalone linked this absolutely stunning example of video game rain https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hViwrRGfuHU&feature=youtu.be
I've been doing a lot of rain programming for my own game too so I noticed that I'm obsessed with rain beyond the game itself. This is why this post exists.
