A list of puns related to "Sailfish"
So ATT keeps telling me they will not support my cellphone a Pixel 1 sailfish after next Feb because no VoLTE. However, the Sailfish is spec'd for VoLTE.
Anyways they offered me a ATT Radiant Core in exchange and I declined because it is a crap burner phone. Is there anything I can do. Is there another carrier (pay as you go perhaps) that supports it?
Great Device, great Linux Mobile OS. Limited time offer of 29.90 β¬ for existing Sailfish users. You are entitled to the discount if you have had a paid Sailfish X licence for any Xperia device previously, or if you have used a Jolla Phone/Tablet (and signed in to your Jolla account). https://blog.jolla.com/kvarken-xperia-10-ii/ https://forum.sailfishos.org/t/release-notes-kvarken-4-1-0/5942/163
As far as I know SailfishOS is not officially supported in the US even though I have been using it for the past 7 months or so with T-Mobile. (This is in a rural area.) Just thought that it might be useful for others to know that Sailfish does still work in the United States.
My current XA2 was just destroyed in a rainstorm, so I will be ordering a another phone and plan to install SailfishOS again.
Forgive me if this a total newbie question, but I just flashed Sailfish on my XA2 Ultra and am still a bit overwhelmed with orientating myself and where to look for educating myself. I wanted to run some terminal commands to see what works, but I don't have a Terminal app in the app list. If I check under System/Apps, I see it, but its grayed out...so I think it's installed but for some reason unusable? Is it because it's still the test version of Sailfish, not the paid version?
I want to install storeman to investigate what apps are available there, can someone point me to a good tutorial on how to do it? I vaguely remember from a video that I need to do it from the terminal, which throws me back to problem one...
My goal is to limit myself as far as possible to native apps and see how far I get with that. But in the long run I will upgrade to the paid version for one or two Android apps I can't live without. Can I do it from inside, or do I have to reflash again (losing all my prior settings)?
Already love the interface!!! Super happy, shedding only a small tear about the loss of the FM Radio feature :'(
I don't see the changes from the latest version in: https://download.lineageos.org/sailfish/changes/
Hello everyone! Do you know any working signal clients for sfos? Whisperfish always sends me a ,,this message is empty'' message after every message sent to an android user. Oh and it doesn't have safety numbers or newer signal groups. What a shame.
the total is 3750 hp restored in 1 single game tick. add all 3 items to your hotbar and bind them to something like 'a' 's' and 'd' so you can just roll your fingers across all 3 keys at once. ontop of this, only the sailfish will make you loose adrenaline
however, warning: if you use the generic "eat food" ability, make sure to put your sailfish BEFORE your jellies in your inventory or else the "eat food" ability will eat the jellyfish
For those interested in mobile development using Rust. I've made some experiments trying to run the simple CLI and the even GUI application on the Sailfish OS (recently renamed to Aurora OS). Here you'll find the source code:
Hello-world: https://github.com/crocinc/aurora-rust-helloworld
GUI: https://github.com/crocinc/aurora-rust-gui
And I've written an article (auto-translation from Russian, sorry for that): https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=ru&tl=en&u=https://habr.com/ru/company/croc/blog/544900/
I'd appreciate your feedback.
I'm a newbie (installed Sailfish on XA2 yesterday). I'd like to turn off notifications for the Sailfish Mail app. Is there any way to do this? Or will I have to use an Android mail app and use Android settings?
Also, is there any way to have "badge" notifications on either Sailfish or Android apps that show the number of notifications?
Thanks!
Been a long time since I installed a custom ROM to my android phone, last time was Sept/ Oct 2016, on a Nexus 6. Anyway, trying to get back into the custom ROM installation game with my first gen Pixel (Sailfish). Want to install Android 11 based custom ROM. What's the best Android 11 based custom ROM for sailfish right now? I'd prefer a stable ROM which supports VoLTE (on T-mo).
By the way, anything like Nexus Root Toolkit for Pixel?
Some Ironmen might be wondering how to get raw sailfish for BGH. I've been checking the rswiki and reddit myself and did not see any accurate overview about certain fishing levels. I decided to share my experience. I did not use any kind of level boosting or familiars.
The rswiki says fishing 68 is required to get raw sailfish from Swarm Fishing, although you won't get any before reaching lvl 80 fishing. (visible boosts would probably work, but are totally not worth it unless you can boost to 85+)
You start getting them VERY RARELY from 80-84 fishing (I got like 10 Sailfish from 80-85 fishing) and then at level 85+ fishing they become RARE/UNCOMMON (like 1-3 sailfish per inventory).
It's obvious that they are very common after 90+ fishing, but that's not the point of this Thread.
