Maybe the opportunity to work with Lynda Carter was more enticing than Star Wars?
Anyone had any luck with rogue squadron 2 on dolphin emulator using snapdragon 888. I tried it on my z fold 3 earlier and it was somewhat playable but with alot of slowdown. I'm new to emulation on Android. So any advice is appreciated.
Not sure if people saw this report about the upcoming Rogue Squadron film.

A lot of us had been holding out hope for a follow up game - Squadrons 2, or some kind of tie-in game coming out with the movie. It was probably a pipe dream, but there was hope. Those hopes and dreams have been squashed with this news. There's also no timeline for when production will now begin.
Not sure what to think, but still enjoy playing this game at least. Made a video if discussing as well if you enjoy that kind of thing.
Edit: I love the positive responses. Seriously makes me feel better!
If they were scrambling to fill the 2023 theatrical spot, itโs not beyond the realm of possibility that one of the shows theyโve been working on could do it, and maybe LF hasnโt figured out which one or what to put out when or where quite yet. The Acolyte would fit the recent rumor that a older period - either High Republic or Old Republic - would fill the slot. Itโs interesting to think if they could pivot a show to a movie, the way Boba Fett / Obi-Wan were changed from a movie to a show. Thoughts?
I've noticed allot of people over here are reading or rereading Materials related to rogue squadron, so I would thought I would post this over here.
Rogue Squadron Dramitis Personae: The First Ten Years
A little while ago I created a Legends "dramatis Personae" for rogue squadron starting from the battle of Yavin to the end of isards revenge (more or less the first ten years of rogue squadron). The document includes 39 different lists that each have: the timeframe for this squadron roster, rogues 1-12 listed with their names and species, support personnel, and a brief description of what battles took place, who died, and who was recruited during this time. At the beginning there is a table of contents to direct you to the page for the squadrons roster during certain battles, and at the end of the document there is an index in which you can look up the novel, game or comic you are playing and see what page the squadron roster for the events of that source is.
As a Disclaimer, this list does include some speculation and leaps in logic on my part, as there are in some cases of not having enough information here, or having a one off character introduced as a rogue here that never seen again after that, so I had to sometimes make educated guesses on when a person entered and leaved rogue squadron. On one case I filled up renegade flight with the purely canon members of Red squadron from yavin IV, I used canon wiki article on a few legends rogue pilots to find out their homeworlds, and a couple things like that. I've tried to mark my speculation with red writing, but I probably missed one or two places.
Overall though, It was fun to do and I don't think it has any major contradictions to legends sources that I am aware of. Feel free to look it over next time you are reading, watching or playing something with the rogues in it, and feel free to let me know if I made any mistakes.
Currently on a huge kick for audiobooks that are heavy in starship-related content. I already enjoyed the three Alphabet Squadron books and am loving the Rogue Squadron book. I know Wedge's Gamble is coming out in a few months, but does anyone have any good recommendations for audiobooks that are reminiscent of the vibe of Rogue Squadron/Alphabet Squadron?
With Rogue Squadron delayed indefinitely, there is now a spot in December 2023 for a different megabudget Sci-fi epic. Disney clearly likes December for it's major sci-fi franchises (7 years of alternating Star Wars and Avatar sequels are ahead), but now there is a gap where Dune could fit. Should Dune 2 try to be the major Holiday Fantasy epic similar to Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and Avatar, or should it stay in October where the first movie was moderately successful.
I didnt believe Marc Thompson could get any better than he already is, but this "new" production proves it.
He describes the dogfights with such vivid detail and emotion that it completely absorbs you in the action. Add to that the usual sound effects and film OST (although they didnt use Original Trilogy OST, but Prequel OST, as with most modern Random House Audio productions) and it really almost feels like you are right there in the middle of it all.
I genuinely hope they release the rest of the X-Wing novels in unabridged form in the next few years. I would buy all of them day one.
