We applied exterior primer/exterior paint last fall to these exterior-grade deck railings. Seeking advice on if these can be repainted or should I rip out and replace? What would last longer? TIA

I haven't painted them not yet, but that's coming. Quick question, I know that you need a primer and paint them after that. Does it matter what brand you use (*so long as it is for plastic*)?

Vallejo black primer makes my paint sticky and peel. Help?
Hey all,
I've recently started using an airbrush to prime my minis as the UK has atrocious weather.
I've been using Vallejo black and using some of their thinner to prime.
The paint isn't applying well and takes about 4 (I assume as it's a dark colour) but the worst part is the paint on the mini is peeling and sticky.
What am I doing wrong?
Or should I try another primer?

Is it easier to paint the trims (ex: solid blue primer, painting the gold trims) or fill in the armor panels (ex: gold primer, painting blue panels) of rubric marines?
Sorry if I sound confusing. I paint the trims, but it takes a long time. Wondering if it would be quicker to paint in the armor panels.

Do I need to paint over primer if I varnish it?
New to wargaming, just trying to get into it, but I was wondering if for the majority of my figure being one colour, could I simply use a coloured primer and then use normal paints to add detail and then varnish the whole thing to protect it? Or would that look bad?

This project is not ready for full paint yet. But it is showing some surface rust I need to kill before it grows. Planning to sand it away and hit it with some rattle can primer/sealant. I have a couple rustoleum products sitting around. Would yβall recommend I use either of these or something else?

Does white oil paint work as a primer for canvas?
Hello,
I'm repurposing a bunch of old canvases of mine and have sanded them down to where the original image is very and the surface is very even. These were originally oil paintings, so I know I can't put down a layer of acrylic gesso on top.
Online research tells me that I must now use some sort of special oil primer; however, in the interest of being thrifty, I was wondering if standard white oil paint with some medium would be just as effective?

Need help! I used Kilz oil based primer and rolled 3 coats on sanding in between with 220 by sponges and using an orbital. My question is this suppose to be textured like the first image? Also any tips or tricks and what paint I should go with. Any help would be great! Thanks.

Primer needed with SW paint?
I'm moving to a house where owner was very creative with colors. Master bedroom has a dark red color seen on this link: https://imgur.com/Xf1C4x9
Sherwin Williams seller told me using an emerald paint (light grey color) would not require any priming, however I'm a bit skeptical. Should I really skip priming these dark colors? Also if I did want to prime, should I also stick to SW or can I go cheaper?

Do I still need to prime with primer+paint?
Question in title. A lot of the SW paints I am looking at are labeled as paint+primer. Should I still put down primer separate?
Also, for interior on a budget, what SW line would you recommend? No pets or kids. Would like to avoid the cheapest line I believe, and have been looking at super paint. Is this just their base paint with added features (self sanitizing, odor reducing,El etc.)?
Thank you!

how important is putting primer on minis before painting? And what primers might you recommend?
I'm new, and I've painted just a few orks without primer and they seem fine, but a lot of the fancy tutorials I see have primer.
I am looking to improve my techniques as I practice though. If it helps for primer recommendations, I still got a bunch of ork boyz, nobz, a deffdread, and Kaptin Badrukk to paint.
Thanks in advance!
