So I'm a transplant and I've discovered a severe lack of dodgeball in the OKC area.
I seek to change that. I'm gonna try to start a league and figured I'd put feelers out for those who might be interested.
League will be coed, meet once a week for 5 weeks for the regular season then have a one day single elimination tourney to crown a champ.

United Dodgeball League are hosting their first 3v3 pyro dodgeball league!
Dodgeball is a fantastic gamemode where players compete in reflecting a rocket back and forth in high speed action. Our previous events have been a lot of fun for both experienced dodgeball players and brand new players.
We're running a four week league starting June 8th using a custom bot server reservation system so you choose the best time to play for your team.
Each team will play four matches throughout group stages, in hope of making Top 16 playoffs! (played on the 6th of July).
Prizepool: This prizepool is still growing but there is currently 15 keys up for grabs split across the three podium places.
Medals: There are podium medals as well as participant medals up for grabs for participation! Please check them out here (they are the 2019 medal designs).

I was playing at Action Indoor Sports but unfortunately they've closed.
I thought Farhan Zaidi's black magic was exaggerated but the players the Giants have pulled from out of nowhere the past two years are just unreal. This team also leads the entire MLB in several pitching categories, including a team ERA of 2.81 following today's shutout. While it is still April, the expectations laid out thus far have been shattered.
I've been working at my company for about four months now. It's a smallish company, with about 50-60 employees. For the first time in my career, my coworkers are mostly people in my age range. At all my previous jobs, my coworkers were mostly middle-aged people who were married and had kids - mostly boomers. This is the first job I've had where I actually have something in common with my coworkers and where my coworkers are people I can actually hang out with. I have a pretty good relationship with them, and I know that they often hang out outside the office. I've even heard stories about them staying out until 4am!
So I've been in this dodgeball league for about four years now. It's been really great for me because, before I joined, I was pretty lonely and didn't really have much of a social life. Now, I feel like I fit in and have a real sense of belonging. It feels great and I'm proud of myself for overcoming my initial sense of awkwardness and anxiety and sticking with it. I've mentioned this league to my coworkers a couple of times as something that they might enjoy.
So my league's preseason party is coming up and I'm wondering if I should invite my coworkers.
On one hand, I'd feel guilty if, after telling them about this league for so long, I didn't invite them. They might really enjoy it and be glad I invited them. Lots of other people bring their coworkers into the league.
On the other hand, I'm worried about HR implications. This is an adult recreational social league, so there's a lot of drinking, hookups, raunchy jokes, etc.. Don't get me wrong, it's safe and the people are wonderful. But coworkers are people that you have to have a certain decorum with. There are certain jokes, for example, that I can make with my dodgeball friends that I can't make with my coworkers. If I did, I'd probably be facing a harassment lawsuit (and rightfully so). In other words, if I invited my coworkers to this league, it'd feel like I'm blurring the lines between the workplace and my social life. They would be in an environment with me where we behave in a way that is not okay in the office. Additionally, I generally like to keep my social circles separate. Finally, I see dodgeball as a place where I can let loose and not worry about office decorum. Having my coworkers there, even though it's not a work setting, would make me feel like I'm being watched. It'd be awkward to go into the office and have to work with people who just recently saw me comple

Hello everybody! I am new to town and have been looking for some things to do outside of work. One of the things I enjoy is playing dodgeball. I've searched throughout the web and have found no leagues. I'm not looking for anything ultra competitive, just something to do to meet people and kill some time. I joined around 3 years ago and became hooked instantly. I am currently trying to get together a couple singles teams for the season, which stars in February!
