A list of puns related to "N26"
N26 locked my money and refuses releasing it. It’s obviously a bug of their system and they are keeping my account blocked since 1 month while “resolving” the issue they created.
Here more in detail: I stopped getting sms verification codes and they told me I need to reverify my account, so they reset all of my identity verification processes. After logging in the first step is to verify your phone number via sms code. The thing is as I request a code I get a sms full of Chinese gibberish with no code in it. I informed them 4 weeks ago and they said they will take care of it. Until today several thousand EUR are locked in my account and nobody does dipshit about it.
I basically had to borrow money from friends and family to pay rent and bills for the last month bc they still “resolving the issue”. In this cases you clearly see the downside from competitors: no functioning hotline no physical place to go to
I am resolving this issue via Facebook Messenger as nobody is replying my emails. Horrible management, how did they manage to be taken serious as bank?!
My mother in law has alzheimer so we trying to restrict some things for her while trying to not seem like we are blocking her freedom as she is only in early stages. Plan was revolut but it won't work on her phone so I we went with N26. So she has her bank card but limited to what she can spend.
We wanted to setup a standing order from her BOI account, the app won't accept the IBAN, I guess as it is in Germany. Rang Banking 365 and they wouldn't help as they said it was over the phone. Went into a branch and they told us to ring Banking 365. Explained everything and the answer was "get N26 to set up a standing order to her BOI account". Really this person works in Banking.
Question is, has anyone setup a standing order from BOI to n26 and how did they do it? is it possible?
Used to buy without any problem, now I get this:
"We currently do not support the bank cards issued in your country, but we are working on making this a possibility as soon as we can."
Did they ban Germany from Binance? What's happening?
Hi people, I have recently moved to Hannover as a master student. I am not sure with which bank should I open an account. As far as I understand, Sparkasse doesn't have English support, and I have read comments about N26 suddenly closing accounts and not giving information. Could you help me clear my mind?
Edit: I went to Deutsche Bank today, and they told me I would get my IBAN and card 14 days later because of Christmas. I cannot wait that long to access my money, so I'll have to go with N26. :/ I can close my account and change my bank in the future anyway.
Just to alert people.
I joined n26 because it was easy as an ex-pat (aka foreigner in Germany)
I continued to use it because the app is easy. I felt secure because EVERY TIME money went out of my account, I got a notification, so I feel it is secure.
Skip forward 3 years. Today I check my account because I have to verify a 9.40€ payment to BVG. Then I see that over 600€ has been paid to a gambling company. There was no notification.
N26 tell me that it is "up to the website to send a notification".... Which sounds untrue because every single payment I have made in the past 3 years has been almost instantly popped up as a notification from N26.
Now... We see... They have logged the fraud and their agent says it is clearly fraud ( how the agent knows I do not know)
TL:DR... Be suspicious of N26. Nowhere near as secure as you think.
Anyone else had issues? Any bank recommendations?
Hello all!
I'm looking to move to Germany in the next six months. I don't want any geo-blocking BS linked to my n26 debit card, and I'm going to need to convert all my dollars to euros at some point. Should I set up my n26 account right now or wait until I'm in Germany and save myself some ( potential ) hassle?
Thanks : )
To obtain a German IBAN number, I have opened an account on N26.
There was an option like Business Account. Should I have opened that one? Is it legally okay to receive salary using a personal account IBAN?
Hi folks,
Starting a new job in January so I thought it was a good time to move banks, been with AIB for a few years but 20 cent per transaction with card or contactless is ridiculous.. I do have a revolut account I use mostly for sending friends money and some sport betting but wondering if anyone has made a move fully to that or N26 previously and how you found it?
Also in relation to mortgages and things like that would it be affected having an only online bank account?
Thanks
If I upgrade to Metal, do I get a 14 day ‘cooling off’ period if I change my mind? So I can downgrade back to the free tier and not be locked into the full year commitment.
Hi everyone, I am a US citizen who currently lives in Germany and looking to purchase a property here. As the banks require proof of equity in my German bank account, I need to transfer money from the US to my bank account in Germany.
At the moment, I only have an N26 account. I've never had any issues with it but I have heard negative stories of people running into issues.
So I wanted to ask here if anyone has had any positive or negative experiences with transferring and holding a large sum of money (Over 100k euros) in their N26 account for a few months while the mortgage application is being processed. I have all the necessary documents to show how the money was established (from selling property in the US)
The reason I ask is because transferring my equity from the US to Germany to my N26 account would be the most user friendly process since the other method would require me to open a new German bank account with an established bank while also having to physically go to the US to approve the transfer of the funds.
The other option is to transfer the funds directly to my N26 account, and then transfer some of it out to my 2nd German bank account that I would open for this specific scenario.
Hi everyone!
I'm a KBC user, and since they will eventually be leaving the market I want to plan my next move.
I use N26 already for most things, I only use KBC for receiving my salary. Would it make sense to simply use N26 only (plus Revolut as a backup). I've no appetite for going back to PTSB or AIB to those fees for substandard services.
From my research online a couple of people said that BOI would not accept N26 statements as they did not have dates and totals (source):
> BOI would not take my N26 as proof of savings as the statements did not have dates totals so they said they couldn't figure out highs and lows of 6 months savings.
I've looked at my most recent statements and they do include dates and totals so maybe N26 have since added this?
Has anybody had any experience in getting a mortgage my an N26 bank account in the past few months?
How long does I have to wait in the waitlist to open a bank account with a n26 standard?
what do people think of the BMS stage 1 tune on here? I know bm3 is superior but i'm not looking to pay the premium and have a good deal lined up on the bms tune. Anyone else running it here?
Hello there,
as a german with "Sparkasse" as his main bank account Im unfortunately forced to pay a 10€ fee every time i transfer money to Binance's UK Banks. (Thanks Brexit....)
Do any germans here pay these or similar international fees with their N26 account? In particular to SEPA transfers to Binance??
PURPOSE: I'm a student from the United States studying in the Netherlands. I can only work 16 hours per week by law. My student aid ran out and my work authorization process took forever, so I won't be able to save up enough to pay my monthly rent this January 10th. I'm asking for this money to pay rent and continue to fund transportation to work until I get my second disbursement of student aid in February.
CLARIFICATION: You might be wondering why I need such a small amount of money for rent: My living situation is in a hostel because of how difficult it is to find housing, and I've already been able to save up a portion of the rent. It's just not possible to follow immigration law and close the gap in time.
Also, payment is in USD because that's what most others seem to use, and I have a card that can easily exchange currencies at payment. Equivalent in Euros would also be accepted.
REPAYMENT GUARANTEE: My student aid disperses on a semester wide basis, so I have guaranteed money coming in to pay you back. I've adjusted the repayment date to take place a week after my funds are expected to allow for wiggle room and ensure a prompt payment.
INTEREST OFFER: Opening offer is paying back 350USD at repayment date.
IDENTITY GUARANTEES: Amsterdam Residence Permit, Texas Drivers License, Evidence of Address in Amsterdam, Bank Statements, Student Identity Card, Evidence of Enrollment in University

Πρώτον, δεν είμαι σίγουρος αν είναι το N26 καλύτερο από το Revolut η όχι. Αν χρησιμοποιήτε κάποιο από τα δύο ή χρησιμοποιούσατε στο παρελθόν, ποια είναι η γνώμη σας για τα προταιρήματα του κάθε ενός;
