A list of puns related to "Moro conflict"
So after re-reading the latest manga chapter, a question pop into my head. Isnβt the Freeza Force supposed to be active currently and why hasnβt any of Moroβs goons ran into them? I mean, if Moro is going after planets with high life forces or something like that wouldnβt at least one be a planet Freeza controls.
So I thought it would be cool if some of Moroβs goons and Freezaβs men got into a conflict. Nothing big but this would make the treat of Moro seem even greater and flesh out U7 as being more than just Goku and Vegeta.
In a televised address from Manila this evening, President Rodrigo Duterte announced his government's brand new plan for defeating Jihadist groups operating in the predominantly Islamic, southern region of the Philippines, Mindanao. Since the mid-90s, the Filipino government has clashed with Islamic extremists in the area, originally fighting the MNLF (until '96), before taking the fight to the MILF (hehe). A peace agreement was signed with MILF in 2014, thus ending the second phase of the conflict, however at this time, with the rise of Daesh in Iraq and Syria, new Jihadist groups were formed in the Philippines, going by the names of Abu-Sayyaf and the Maute Group.
These groups, who are ISIS affiliates, pose a severe threat to law and order, human rights and the central government's authority in Mindanao. Their attack on Marawi City, piracy in the Sulu-Celebes Sea, kidnapping and beheading of foreign nationals, raping and pillaging of the countryside and alleged attack on a casino in Manila will not be tolerated. Chief strategists in the Philippines understand that to a large extent, poor socioeconomic performance in relation to the rest of the nation is a major cause of extremism in Mindanao. Therefore, whilst elimination of the terrorist threat will be the primary objective of Manila in the coming months, a focus will also be placed on providing more economic development in affected areas in order to kerb dissent and poverty. This will be a long-term solution to radicalisation of the local population, however, a short-term solution is also required.
This is where the military comes in. The first priority for Filipino armed forces is the dislodgement of the Maute Group from Marawi City. In order to achieve this goal, an additional 7000

>Some of the Muslim grievances date back several hundred years. Since the time of Spanish colonialism, the Muslims have been fighting to protect their territory and Muslim identity against the intrusions of foreign powers. They fiercely resisted the stated attempts by the Spaniards to βhispanize and christianize the Moros, along the same lines followed with respect to other lowland Filipino.. .groups.β Under American rule, from 1898 to 1920, Moros were defeated and subjected to direct rule, avowedly βto develop, to civilize, to educate, to train in the science of self-governmentβ but with the added corollary of integrating the non-Christians into the Philippine national life. As the Americans relinquished control of the government to Filipinos after 1920, Christian Filipinos were eager to assimilate the Moros and push forward a program of βFilipinizationβ that meant, from the Moro perspective, βbeing ruled by their former enemies.β The Philippine government further alienated the Moros with its policy of resettling Christian Filipinos from the northern provinces to Mindanao. βAs the number of Christian Filipinos multiplied, the Moros became a minority in many of their former strongholds. They began to be treated as second class citizens in their own land.β
>During the Commonwealth years and after independence, the situation of the Moros worsened. They were never given sufficient representation in the central government to advance their interests and more importantly, they lost control of their territory and of their system of governance. Under the Philippine Commonwealth (1935-1946), the Moros lost special provisions protecting Islamic and traditional laws, the institution of the sultanate and socio-economic programmes. Greater numbers of Christians were encouraged to migrate to Mindanao, where they received development support from the government.
>After the Philippines obtained its independence in 1946, the government adopted social and economic programs to integrate the Moros further but those measures only worsened the Morosβ perception of their condition ... The feeling of marginalization and insecurity generated by the Philippine governmentβs policies only intensified. In 1912, the Moros owned most of the land in Mindanao and Sulu, whereas in 1972 only 30 percent had land in their name. By 1982, the Moros represented only 17 percent of total landowners. Under the repressive government of Ferdinand Marcos, the situation had reached a pea

This post will attempt to explain the differences in how Filipinos and Indonesians see ethnicity and the nature of the two societies. A couple of years ago I did some posts on the Philippines and Indonesia like TL: DR Reasons for the failure of the Philippinesβs foreign policy,
The post will be organized as follows
Many, like Samuel Huntington's in his book Clash of Civilization (1996) label Indonesia as Islamic, and the Philippines as Western, but beyond these simple labels, people are left hanging. Little is done to describe the structure of the societies, how ethnic groups and religious minorities are organized. The four takeaways from this post are:
This post will be the beginning of a series of posts I will do about Indonesia and the Philippines. The purpose of this particular post is to provide a very rough framework for looking at ethnicity, culture, and religion in Indonesia and the Philippines. I won't get into the "why", that will be for subsequent posts.
I decided to do this post, because Indonesia's importance to the Philippines is understated, and its importance will increase markedly after Indonesia moves its

So, to bring some order in this confusion, I organized all the infos from the leaks and Dev Diaries on the future of the Italian Empire. Part 1 : Italyβs content in the Dev diaries
Part 2 : Italyβs paths : - Fascist Italy - Democratic Italy - Red Italy
In 1962, Italy is in a desperate shape. Despite having achieved everything it could desire, a unified country, an empire and a sphere on itβs own, after ww2, the Empire has a in 1962 a devastated economy, a stretched thin army and unsatisfied allies desiring spoiling the fascist dictatorship of her hardly gained territories. Furthermore, the succession of Mussoliniβs son in law, Galeazzo Ciano, as Duce didnβt help to alleviate the countryβs problems. Here are the Italian sections of each dev diary.
βThere is much on the Duce's agenda. The far reaches of the Empire hold great opportunities, some of them yet untapped; economic planning and expansion of the state owned civilian air company should help tie together the vast territories under Italian lordship. The lifeblood of the regime, oil, will continue to flow, while promotion of fascist industrial organization and Italian agriculture shall continue to carry forward the organic development of the Italian economy. As for foreign policy, Italy's alliance with Japan and the other Triumvirate countries will be reaffirmed as a safeguard against German aggression. Finally, in internal politics, safeguarding the Duce's regime against all threats is of paramount importance: the royal court and the fascist gerarchia should be kept under close watch, while also making sure that those who are personally loyal to Ciano and to Ciano alone maintain their prominent positions in the party and the government. As the OVRA, the fascist secret police, works tirelessly to protect the peace and order that fascism brought, the great yearly Littoriali will be organized once more, to showcase to the world all the achievements of the Italian regime. Ciano, as loyal as ever to the fascist cause, will make sure that the legacy of 1922 w

Something similar that happened with Jojos between part 2 and three where Stands became the "magic system" after Hamon. I know that one of the things that make Dragon Ball famous is the way they fight. Actually is kinda interesting how non of the American comic book based cartoons had a battle style like that despite manage similar power levels depending of the run.
More than that I'd say an introduction to new powers, not necesary to turn the old magic system obsolete. Both Universe 6 arc and Tournament of Power arc tried to do something like this. Botamo bounces back attacks and was capable to bounce while Hit was capable to jump in time and later do dimensional seals, slow down time and other stuff. BUT if you think about it, Kyabe who was proportionally more important to the plot of the Universe 6 arc didn't have an special power like that. The presentation tournament between Universe 7 and 9 promised us something like that showing us a warrior whose main card was poison while the other one was capable to absorb ki even from hits but that wasn't present in the tournament itself. Universe 9 did nothing during the Survival Tournament. All the characters of Universe 11 with exception of Opuni and the Sumo guy(who didn't have a special power but I count it because at least his fighting style is different) didn't bring something new to the table. Universe 9 didn't show their special powers in the Tournament. Universe 3 didn't with exception of Mayi Kayo despite having the most different designs of what we used to see since the Saiyan saga. Universe 2 didn't with exception of the black hole technique, Ribrianne turning in an energy avatar and the guy who redirects energy. They had the oportunity to show us stuff that has never been seen in DB with the Yadrat of Universe 2 but didn't happened. As you can see, even if Tournament of Power tried, all those powers were on non-main player characters. This is the case of Universe 11 some of their characters have interesting powers like the girl who unlock people in other dimensions, the guy of the energy strings or the guy who manipulates his own gravity. Aside of it, the main players of Tournament of Power and Universe 11 had nothing new to put in the table. Dyspo had the same specialty as one of the guys of Ginyu forces, Toppo destruction energy was treated as other power up since it can be overcome with norma

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

Koga slowly moves through the kata with both children behind him moving to mimic him. His physical eyes are closed, but he can see them through the forest. The basic Aikido helps limber up the two and gives them a martial art based around escaping grabs and delivering soft takedowns. It also helps focus the mind properly. Being a way to focus is the more important trait.
He could almost hear them reaching out to the forest as they pushed outwards. They were getting very, very close. Both Jeth and Mux were just maybe one or two revelations away from actually reaching out properly. They still had their guards up, even Mux who really wanted this. The concept of just emptying your head and reaching out was a bit much.
Hence the exercise and katas. Practical in many ways and hopefully something that would speed up their training. Sure, having a home away from home for these kids was part of this whole village plan, but he wanted to see how quickly he could train someone up without pushing them too hard. Find that sweet spot where pushing them forward, leading them onwards and letting them grow came together to form a perfect whole.
Thereβs also the fact heβs very curious as to what the first sorcerers from this village would do with their lives. With the patience they were teaching it was unlikely to be revenge, with the practical skills and pragmatic attitude they were encouraging they could go just about anywhere, and with the sheer power they would have at their disposal they could do anything. So what does a freshly minted sorcerer do with himself? The ones in the ancient past had wars to fight or vengeance to take. But what is a newborn sorcerer in peace?
The shifting of the leaves confirms that The Forest itself is just as curious. There is another shift moments later and he opens his eyes. The blurs in the distance focus clearly into the gorgeous tapestry of growing life that has decided to be... family? Partner? Brother? Kami? There was something powerful that he simply didnβt have words for. Where the forest ended and the sorcerer began was a difficult thing to quantify. But it was there and it was one with him. Soon to be one with these children as well, and perhaps whatever the stranger in the woods has come here for.
βExcuse me a minute boys. Something has come up.β Koga says with a smile. βKeep practicing and take your time. Speed comes with experience.β

If they will introduce us the multiverse and timeline stuff that is of a greater scale than Infinity saga, then there's no point to introduce the MCU Fantastic Four and the X-men at this point. This characters won't be major players in such events.
It will be like Dragon Ball. I feel no tension reading the Moro and Granola saga because the concept of multiverse was already introduced to me. Because I already saw multiversal threats such as Zeno sama getting pissed off or The Tournament of Power. In that sense Dragon Ball is behaving like an American comic book. If the story isn't lineal it will more lame and hard to follow. This one of the actual reasons of why comic-books aren't successful in comparison with their japanese countaparts. This is also a reason of why comic book based cartoons will never generate the hype that anime does. As I concern I saw more hype with Dragon Ball than any of the recent Spiderman tv shows.
With movies is absolutely different because actors age. Also at least in MCU they are tons of characters who share the date of birth with the actors such as Tony Stark or Sam Wilson. Sam Wilson is a middle age man in the MCU and Tony Stark was practically granpa in terms of age. Since that's the case they shouldn't go back to those things again and again. They can't play with a massive scale conflict and then a little scale conflict as the main conflict of saga. Of course that they can do the things of Phase 2: putting some characters to play in little events in order to dive in their character development such as Captain America 2 or Iron Man 3 but again, those movies weren't crossover movies. If the next crossover of characters(Wanda, Spiderman, Dr Strange) is about Multiverse quantumania it makes no sense to introduce The Fantastic Four later. No way they will be major players on it. Even less the X-men whose threats don't use to be of the same scale as Avengers or Fantastic Four. For sure that Shi'Ar Empire and the Phoenix Force are of such scale but both need a lot preparation that will much later after this multiversal saga.
Pilot on me!!
For context, the New People's Army (which is the armed wing of the Communist Party of the Philippines) has been waging a protracted struggle against the government for decades, and is active in many parts of the country. Some party activists have claimed that the military situation is already approaching a strategic stalemate, which according to Mao's theory, entails intensified guerrilla activities in still contested territories, in addition to mobile operations with regular units. Otherwise, I haven't been able to find much military literature on the on-going insurgency.

A Japanese artist's rendition of the Battle of Hawaii, circa 1897.
The Battle of Hawaii
Togo Heihachiro and his fleet reached Hawaii in December, making their first landing at Midway Atoll to connect to the Japanese forces already in the vicinity before travelling to Koloa on the island of Kauai, where Admiral Heihachiro would formulate his plan of engagement. His fleet surrounded Oahu, yet declined to directly attack the island held by Dole and American troops, instead focusing on laying in wait for the arrival of what had been George Dewey's and was now William T. Sampsonβs American fleet while the Japanese Army under Kodama Gentaro focused on capturing Oahu. In a surprising move, Admiral Dewey had been reassigned from the Hawaiian fleet to a smaller naval force sent to the Southern Pacific to attack Japanβs possessions in Polynesia. With Sampson days away, Gentaro launched an assault on Keeau Beach, on the far west of Oahu, with 600 troops outnumbering the 346 militiamen of Dole and his allies, and capturing the beach by the end of the 17th of December. The next day, several hundred more Japanese troops landed on North Beach on the other side of Oahu, as those on Keeau marched north to cut the island in half. Yet, Dole was prepared, With 70 of his men, he took several Gatling guns and a two "potato diggers," recently created automatic weapons, and intercepted the Japanese forces advancing from Keeau at Trimble Road, leading to his plantation, which he suspected they aimed to attack. Opening fire from the bushes, his men were able to devastate Japanese ranks and prevent any attack on Dole's own property.
Surprised at the defeat, Gentaro sent 2,000 troops to Kawela Bay in the North of Oahu near the islands jungles, from which they advanced south towards the Dole Plantation, clashing with American troops during a second landing at Waialua Bay on the morning of the 20th.Japanese troops avoided attacking the Dole Plantation itself, instead clashing with his troops across the island as they worked to capture all but Honolulu and the Plantation. Dole himself largely retreated his forces to protect his plantation as the 21st dawned, leaving only 37 Americans to defend Honolulu against the advancing Japanese, with William T. Sampsonβs Ameeican fleet only a day away. Hoping to capture the final stretch of Oahu's coast not in

It's an open secret how Malaysian authorities directly funded, trained and supported decades of Moro insurgency in Southern Philippines...
https://www.internationalaffairs.org.au/australianoutlook/malaysia-peacemaker/
Previous Philippine Presidents said the the Sulu Sultanate which became a part of the Philippines, had territories in Sabah, so there were many attempts to get back Sabah. However, to counteract this, Malaysia destabilized the Philippines by directly helping the Muslim Filipinos in the Moro Conflict.
It has caused Billions of Dollars in Decades of devestation and poverty across the Philippines, while most Malaysians just sit and get rich since they're peaceful.
So I ask, should Malaysians pay the Philippines reparations for causing decades of war, death and destruction in Mindanao while they happily harvest the oil and timber of Sabah to get rich?
