A list of puns related to "Mistress (lover)"
Hi there!
I tried to do several combinations in the search but nothing came up to what I'm looking for. Most of recommendations has the FMC as the mistress, but I want to FMC to be the wife.
I want:
If the mistress thing is hard to find... Ok with the whole indifferent to lovers/enemies to lover arranged marriage, all I ask is lots of angst.

Edit: my 7th Gen sim, not 8th oops
Iβm currently on my 7th Gen sims and they have kids also but I havenβt transitioned to that generation yet. But I wanted some extra drama so I had Jason (7th Gen) cheat on his wife, Evelyn. He cheated on her with a bartender named Ellie McIntyre.
I thought nothing of this arrangement until I had Ev and Jason divorce. Jason moved out then asked Ellie to be his gf and move in with him. As Iβm looking through the ppl in her family to move her over, I think βHmm, I made a sim with the last name McIntyre.β Yβall...
Jasonβs great-great grandma was named Mara McIntyre and she married into the Denson household which changed her last name. But she had a twin named Alexandria and she kept the McIntyre name alive and so yeah.
Jason and Ellie are very distant cousins and I didnβt know until it was too late.
I just really need the sims to do better in terms of labeling family relationships.
When reading the very detailed article by the Norwegian journalist, I couldn't stop thinking about two things: the lack of hotel cameras investigation and the 20 hours she may have been outside her room.
Another possible angle for this story: Jennifer was a mistress of a married man in Oslo (living or doing business there). Lois Fairgate? This man was not poor, for sure, and suggested her to rent this expensive room with the promise that he'd pay for everything, which never happened. No one could know she was in town, hence fake names for both. He accompanied her to check-in. Initially, according to the article, she rented the room for one night only and then decided to extend her stay for two more nights.
On the first day, she went out for 20 hours, and didn't sleep at the hotel room, possibly to meet him. In that evening/ day she moved most of her belongings to his apartment or another hotel room he was staying at, in hopes of spending the rest of her time with him, since the only time the cleaning staff went to the room, on the first day's afternoon, they saw another pair of shoes and some other items. That's why there's basically nothing inside her room when she was found - she had moved them. She left only tops to go out in the cold, and everything else, including makeup, tooth brush, etc, was at his place. Again, the lack of camera surveillance cannot prove this.
In that first day/ night something happened between the two. Was she rejected? Did they have a huge fight? She went back to her hotel room the next morning, without any of her belongings, which stayed at his place. She was distressed, depressed and willing to end her own life. In that same first night or in the morning of the second day, before coming back to the hotel room, she managed to buy a gun in the black market and decided to wait for a reconciliation and ultimately when it didn't happen, and she noticed even her room was not being paid, she decided to end her life. He had left her.
Or did he appear at the room, she opened the door, and he killed her? It's a possibility, but the door was double locked, unless he knew how to do it from the outside. When she extended the stay for two more nights, she was hoping that things would get resolved. Staying two more nights was not her original plan, she was hoping she'd move in.
Did she discover he was married and had a family? She tried to call to a couple of numbers in Belgium, perhaps a friend living in the area she wrote in the
... keep reading on reddit β‘I just reread an HR I really like that has the mmc offering the fmc a proposal of being his mistress that she turns down. Then something happens and they have sex anyway, but eventually mmc realizes he's fallen in love and offers a proposal of marriage that fmc eventually accepts for their HEA.
I realized there're a number of books I've read that has those same story beats in very similar order - fmc and mmc have chemistry, at some point right before or after they have sex, mmc offers carte blanche, fmc rejects this, angst ensues, and eventually mmc comes up with a proposal of marriage.
Are there any books that do this a little differently and has the fmc accepting a long-term mistress contract, and eventually because mmc realizes the toll this is taking on fmc, or for whatever other reason, mmc realizes this can't go on and asks fmc to marry him instead?
I would prefer mmc be the one who realizes this can't go on rather than the fmc deciding she can't go through with being his mistress after all, and that being the catalyst.
The book I was reading is >!Bringing Down the Duke by Evie Dunmore.!< Another book I can think of with similar story beats to the ones I mentioned is >!Slightly Dangerous by Mary Balogh.!< The only books with something close to what I'm looking for I can think of are >!Duke of Midnight by Elizabeth Hoyt and The Duke and the Lady in Red by Lorraine Heath,!< but, in both, she doesn't last long as his mistress before changing her mind. I'm looking for something where the mmc changes his mind instead. Thanks!
I'm watching a show from a few years ago, and the following scenario was presented: A wife (let's call her Jane) finds out that her husband (Dale) had a mistress (Carrie). Carrie got pregnant with Dale's baby, but Dale died in an accident before the baby was born. There was no child support agreement or plan of any kind. Carrie shows up at Jane's door 3 years later (Carrie is from FL, Jane & Dale lived in CA) and asks for money. When Jane refuses, Carrie threatens to sue her for child support. I know an estate is still responsible for child support agreements, but since no agreement was reached, is Carrie actually entitled to anything? And does the delay in approaching Jane make any difference?
Emphasis on the friends to lovers aspect!
Charles Fox was a very prominent British politician at the end of the 18th century. Very progressive, very Whig, supported the American Revolution and abolitionβyou name it. He was also a huge gambler and partyer and rather roundβ¦if you will.
He was long time good friends with a courtesan (read high end sex worker) Elizabeth Armistead
Now, Elizabeth was like, top of the game in her profession. Weβre talking previous relationship with the prince of wales, was the mistress of various dukes and lords etc.
So, Elizabeth and Charles have been platonic friends for literally a decade. She did her courtesan thing with like, everyone else in his circle, and he had other relationships and various illegitimate children.
And then, when theyβre both 35, they suddenly get together. Both expected the relationship to be temporary, but it was not. Nor was she his βkeptβ mistress. She was obviously head over heels in love with him, because their relationship got to the point where she was the one paying off his gambling debts π and buying them a little house in London suburbs.
So. Theyβre together for like, ten years. Heβs still doing all his political shenanigans btw, and almost makes it to Prime minister at one point before being ousted by political rivals.
But THEN, some banker dude wants Charles to marry his daughter. It would have been highly advantageous for his career, so Elizabeth offers to step aside.
Does Charles accept? Of course not. Instead, to make sure she understands his commitment to her, he marries her. Like, the SCANDAL. This dude is the grandson of a duke, and Elizabeth literally used to be a prostitute. She agrees to the marriage, but they keep it secret, and society still thinks sheβs his mistress.
Okay so you think this is over? Youβre wrong.
Another seven years go by, and then NAPOLEON invites Charles to France to honour him during the brief peace in 1802. And he insists on making the marriage public so Elizabeth can accompany him as his wife.
By this point, theyβd been together 17ish years, and she was quite accepted by his family and society at large. When he returned to Britain and took up post in the government again, Elizabeth was just the accepted Mrs. Fox.
Guys. This has

I really enjoyed Mistborn Era 1 although I'm not much of a fan of the ending.
I'm considering picking up Wax & Wayne after I finish reading stand-alone books redditors suggested to me to deal with "Book Hangover"...my concern is that if Mistborn Era 2 a lot better on their depiction with women?
PS: After I'll finish reading Elantris, I'm also interested on reading The Stormlight Archive since I've heard lots of good reviews about this series, maybe after the 4th book comes out.
Thanks!!!
Also, is there a word used to refer to a man?
Thanks!

Leman Russ: Fenrisβ greatest love machine?
So I am in an open marriage and have been dating (aka fucking) several guys. Most are not married or also in an open relationship. But there's one guy who I really really really like who is married. I definitely don't want to change his situation or mine, but I would like to be his long-term lover. I have some fantasy version of this like something I read in a French novel once .... where the mistress is a companion and intellectual equivalent and the man confides and consults in her and they have great sex. I have a great marriage and we have great sex, but there's something about this guy that makes me want just be a part of his life, not demanding anything, but being there for him.
Does anyone have this with their AP? Any men who care to offer their advice about what you would want in a woman like this??
Was made aware of this sub just today. Here is a little offering to the HR gods to mark my joining π
