A list of puns related to "Midland Radio"
Hi guys, i have just bought a new midland headset but the mic actually doesn t workβ¦i can just hear other people talking. Both radio and headset uses 2 pin kenwood plug. Anyone know if midlandβs headset has compatibility problem with baofeng radio?
Hi Everyone, hope all is well, i hope this is the correct space to ask this question. I bought a Noaa weather radio and i enjoy it and love getting the weather reports and alerts and stuff but one thing i dislike is in the middle of the night the radio goes off giving details about the day and following day which i really don't want. Is there a way to stop this so i only get the alerts like tornado warnings and thunderstorm warnings? Also, is there a way to snooze the alerts after a certain time? For example, where im from we tend to get a lot of fog advisories that come in at 2am-3 and i don't wanna be woken up by a fog advisory if that makes sense, so how can i like shut off all alerts at night? Thank you in advanced
Has anyone tried out the Midland XT511 GMRS Emergency Crank Base Camp Radio? Would like opinions from people that have used one. Like does it work decent, or is it a gimmick?
Got this CRT at a thrift shop on my birthday today for 20 dollars. When I took it home, remove the nine (bad) D batteries and powered it on, the audio would blast out a loud "static" noise for a bit and then stops. The static on the tube came, but there was no audio.
I immediately assumed a capacitor or something was bad. If I'm wrong or if you know how to fix it, please let me know.
EDIT: Almost forgot about this post. Added some pictures of the inside. If more is necessary, please let me know. Thanks.
The rust on picture 6 might be a root cause. Not entirely sure if that's true and not sure on the safest way to get rid of rust.

The CRT and the board it's on.
The speaker and amp.(?) board. The rusting on the bottom might be a problem.
Pairing Motorola DTR 650 to work with Midland Talker Walkie. Possible?
I pretty much gave up on radio Country a few years ago. It sounds like it could have come off of Dwight Yoakam's first album. It's kind of a generic Country cheating song, but it's a lot of fun and even though it's not the most original thing out there, it's refreshing to hear a good old 80's honky tonk track on the radio. Also the video is a lot of fun.
Anyway, what do you guys think?

I recently bought a set of Midland GXT1000VP4. I typed in the FCC ID (MMAGXT1050G) on the FCC site, and it appears their power output is 2.5W. You can see the result I found here.
How does midland advertise the GXT1000 series as a 5W, as seen here, when the official documents rate it at 1/2 that power?
