Dear Judokas,
I really like Harai Goshi and Uchimata, but Harai Goshi seems to be coming much easier. Granted, I've repped it a million times more because the grappling dummy available to me makes Uchimata very difficult (it's hard to slip my leg between the dummy's legs, not enough space, etc.).
I've looked at other threads of this title, but they don't seem to be addressing the questions I have. I'm not asking about the technical similarities and differences, but rather the tactical differences.
For example, does Harai Goshi and Uchi Mata suit different body types more or less?
Some individuals have stated that Uchi Mata is a superior throw, because there are less potential counters to this throw. Is this true? They also say that Uchi Mata is more highly represented at the elite levels of Judo competition and, there, this may be a higher-percentage technique. What do you think of this assertion?
Why might an individual pursue to specialize in Harai Goshi instead of Uchi Mata, and vice versa? Is there anything deeper than just personal preference when it comes to specializing in throws?
Like I said earlier, Harai Goshi is coming along easier, but I've repped it more than Uchi Mata. Time will tell if I prefer one or the other. For reference, I am short, with stocky, stout legs and a medium upper body build, fairly athletic, explosive.
Your thoughts on the matter are appreciated.

Les pongo en situacion, entro una cucaracha re grosa a la cocina, y como no tenia nada para matarla agarre el mr musculo de vidrios y le rocie con eso, al cabo de 1 minuto dejo de moverse completamente, no se si mate a la cucaracha o la deje en un trance de drogadiccion que no la deja ni respirar pero si es el primer caso, acabo de descubrir un raid para cucarachas mas barato y efectivo? Alguien tuvo una situacion similar?
Edit: Vine a contar una historia de como mate una cuca y me empezaron a salir con miles de formas de matarlas, asi que si tenes un problema de cucas vas a encontrar la solucion en los comentarios. tuki
