Can we all agree that Matpats theory was incredibly flawed. I do not understand where in his mind he thinks that gregory is a robot. There is so much evidence that he is not a robot. Just think with me if gregory was a robot why does he have a stamina bar and why does he not need to charge like freddy. The thing that may be charging him is when he is inside freddy when he is charging. But gregory does not have to be charging with freddy in the charge station.( This is just common knowledge so im not going into lore i just want to talk about things that are more known).
His other theory about gregory being CC is way to far fetched. Maybe there is a chance for him to be CC but his proof is a little to far from being true. and plus the afton family and Michaels friends being animatronics is the only thing that may be true. (Gregorys outfit being almost the same as CC is most likely a coincident). Anyways i just want to see if people agree that matpats theory is a bit weird and wrong.
I recently watch matpats video in his theories in security breach and people in this sub have gone crazy over this, there is no need to be mad over again a theory, which could be true could not, thatβs why itβs a theory and not a fact or cannon. You can agree or disagree. I donβt agree with it but there is no need to say βI hate him cause of that theory!β Or even sending hate his way. Itβs a theory, itβs not like heβs saying that Gregory is a animatronic he saying he could be, THEORIES not FACTS.
I think there is a very important clue that people have been over-looking in the bad ending. The news paper that Gregory is sleeping under says "Local Residents Continue to Disappear." Not children but residents. Gregory even mentions that people have gone missing at the end. Again not kids or children.
Personally I like to think that one of Gregory's parents has gone missing. Which would explain why he's at the pizzaplex. he's trying to find his parent. I recognize that there isn't much to back up this theory. Gregory never mentions that's what he's there for or calls out for one of his parents. However Gregory also never really gives any other reason why he's there.
Nonetheless I think this an important detail we're looking over.

Alright so I'm only here to say matpat destroyed my sanity. I've never played fnaf, hell, I've never even seen gameplay, I've only watched all the theories way too many times. Until I decided to watch mat play security breach because what can go wrong? Long story short, here I am, a person who never played the games and never was a part of the fandom, explaining time traveling ballpits and fazgoo to my friend who's been in the fnaf Fandom since they were 8.

First of all, the video was not about Subnautica. I repeat: the video was NOT about Subnautica. What MatPat did was make a PSA about how we are literally killing the planet we live on, using a game that has related elements. "The lore" that so many people are up in arms about, that MatPat allegedly ignored, had absolutely nothing to do with the message about our planet dying thanks to what we do. So why would he include it? Fans of the channel know just how far Mat is willing to go to uncover details and lore in a game he's focusing a theory on. We see it all the time. Watch any of the live streams, you can see how visibly excited he is to talk about minor details that he discovers. That's how we know his focus wasn't on Subnautica for the theory - he didn't dive into it like he usually would. His focus for this vid, once again, was to use the related elements in Subnautica as a vehicle to explain how much we are screwing ourselves over in the real world.
For anyone who reads this far and still wants to say "oh, it doesn't matter what message he tried to push, he still shouldn't have made such a trashy video that ignores the lore" just admit it. Admit that you are envious. Admit that your hate stems from his success. He runs THREE full, popular, successful YouTube channels. He runs a solid consulting business. He has an amazing wife, has an awesome kid, and works with a phenomenal team. You don't hate him and the video because he skipped out on lore. You simply envy him.
Edit: let me make something clear, since I'm seeing too many comments about this. Constructive criticism is okay. Disliking the video is okay. Calling MatPat an idiot, a joke, lazy, and all the other abusive words is not okay. We can have civilized debates about whether or not Subnautica was the right choice of game for the message MatPat wanted to convey. We can debate whether or not the message should be separate from any game in general. We can debate lots of things. But anyone who is spewing hatred and insults (and if you haven't seen it yet because you haven't looked through the sub, that's fine, but there are lots of folks who are pretending that online abuse doesn't count as hate), anyone doing such a thing - THEY are who I accuse of being envious of MatPat and his success. Because those attacks aren't constructive, they are personal.
