Iโm looking into getting this car with 50k miles on it. no accident history or damage reported. they want $27,000 for it. whatโs your take on this car? donโt really know the maintenance of these or how reliable.
Iโm looking for a new car and found this Maserati itโs a really nice car and costs $20,000. The only thing is it has 73,000 miles. As far as I can tell this is very high for this brand of cars, thoughts?
Iโm looking to purchase a 2009-2012 Quattroporte. I know that the models from 2008 and earlier had terrible transmissions, but thatโs the only real caveat Iโve heard so far about the cars.
Some background:
Location: Almost the southernmost point in Canada
Desired transmission doesnโt matter as long as itโs not a transmission known for issues
Intended use: Daily driver (I work from home so itโll be 10km/day max)
Is this your 1st vehicle: No, it would be my second vehicle after my BMW E46 325Ci manual coupe
Can you do Minor work on your own vehicle: Easily yes
Can you do Major work on your own vehicle: Easily yes
Additional Notes:
- Access to a family memberโs hoist anytime I need the car lifted to do work
- Work from home so I have no daily commute aside from the gym/store
- I live close to the southernmost point of Canada so we only get enough snow a couple times a year that would actually be a problem to drive in
- As long as itโs not electrical/computer issues with the car, myself + family can easily do any/all repairs
If anyone has owned a Quattroporte from that era, Iโd love to hear your ownership stories, what to look out for and really any information you think would be valuable for me to know!
Iโve seen a few Maseratiโs quattroporte from around 2005-2007 and some say they work good and others say theyโre horrible, idk if yโall have any opinions on them and if they are worth it
