A list of puns related to "Malvern Water (bottled water)"
With temperatures soaring over 40c this month, I am drinking a lot of beer water and it made me think. Is your tap water good and/or tasty enough to drink or do you prefer bottled water?
I wanted to say, thank you to those who explained to me (in a constructive criticism way) that I was absolutely in the wrong. I ended up taking 3/4 of those cold water bottles and gave them away outside my local homeless shelter. Not good in terms of recycling, but hopefully helped people stay hydrated in 40 degree heat.
Well what the bloody hell were we meant to do with it?
To complete the story we now have no bottled water, no water coolers and the taps have all had NOT DRINKING WATER stickered all over them (It's Cambridgeshire, what's wrong with the tap water) but it's ok, we have one vending machine that is restocked once a week with 5 whole water bottles.
Most of us are drinking the tap water. Pray for us.
When people are visiting they donβt like to ask for a midnight snack, or rummage in someone elseβs kitchen. If you have some granola bars, chips, fun sized candy, etc they can enjoy a snack without feeling bothersome.
I am so grateful for all the comments and suggestions!
Last question: which is the most ethical bottled still water to buy?
Tldr; Filtered pitcher water costs 12.5 cents per liter and bottled water costs 19.9 cents per liter. You save about 7.4 cents per liter.
I live in an area with hard water(170ppm+) that really does not taste good. As a person living in an apartment, I cannot do any installations on my own to my kitchen sink, and have been using portable water filters like Brita or Zero Water. So far Brita didn't really change the taste of the water, so I switched to the latter brand.
I tracked several months of using each individual filter and have determined that on average each water filter can filter over 100 liters of hard tap water before the taste is off. Buying the 4 packs of filters for $50, it's around $12.50 per filter. Overall this means that it costs 12.5 cents to filter 1 liter of water. Do note that this is filtering hard water. The filters may last longer in areas with softer water.
The cheapest amount of bottled water I could find per liter is $3.98 for a 40 pack of water(0.5L each bottle). This would cost 19.9 cents per liter to buy.
To break even, a single bottle of water(0.5L each bottle) should cost 6.25 cents. I use around 2 liters of filtered water a day to cook and drink or 730 liters a year. This means that I spend around $91.25 a year for my filtered water. If I were to use bottled water, I would be spending $145.27 a year. So overall I saved $54 a year.
Of course there are exceptions (e.g. being a resident of Flint, Michigan) but generally speaking, if you have access to clean water and you choose to buy bottled water to drink, youβre a: disgusting, low IQ, mouth-breathing, slack-jawed, window licking, brainless asshole. Plastic garbage is ruining our world and your purchase of bottled water only promotes the continuing use of single-use plastic. Stop buying bottled water.
If you think it shows others that you care more about your health, stop. Youβre just being an asshole.
If you think it tastes better than βnormal waterβ, stop. Youβre just being an asshole.
If you think itβs fine because you recycle. Recycling is not a viable reason to buy single-use plastic at this time unfortunately. Itβs βreduce, reuse, recycleβ in that order, recycling processes are expensive. Not saying donβt recycle, just being objective about its current state.
Iβll happily argue this opinion with anyone. DM me and Iβll educate you.
...sorry for sounding like an asshole, Iβm just tired of seeing garbage.

I know some of the more adventurous and fool hardy members of the community are trying to swim or float in the floodwater, but the water supply could be contaminated for a few days. It best to drink only bottled or boiled water until Duck Corps have confirmed the water is safe to drink. Having said that, Duck Corps are not the most trustworthy when it comes to this sort of thing.
Please do not put yourself at risk of waterborne diseases, like shigellosis, or leptospirosis or typhoid.
Also, watch out for mosquitoes over the next few days
On a side note, the flood water did not rise above the curb at the Tracey building, so everything here turned out fine. I canβt help but feel guilty that my place is fine when people have lost things they treasure. If thereβs anything I can do to help anyone, please do let me know.
We need to do something, because I think the EPA is dirtier than people think it is. However maybe we can at least put some pressure on them to do it, hopefully legislation wouldn't put any loopholes for EPA's or politicians friends. Honestly the no loopholes part should be in the petition.
I'd make the position myself however most sites have petition making behind a paywall.

Given our collective 2020 experience I fully expect to see people at the grocery stores with carts piled high with TP, because that's the natural response to any kind of perceived crisis.
I'm from a small rural town in Southern Michigan. I'm writing this story as a warning to anyone who is still out there. Do not drink the water.
Last summer the state had received federal funding for a new water purification system to deal with the Flint water crisis. The purification center was built 2 miles from my home thanks to the abundance of fresh water lakes and rivers in the area. The water would be purified and sent among pipe lines all the way throughout the state.
Public support of this project was very high. It created new job opportunities and helped solve a water crisis. Or so we thought. The facility was massive. Built on one of the biggest lakes in the county. The entire facility was surrounded with a perimeter fence to ensure proper security and to prevent tampering. There was even rumors of sniper encampment all around the facility. No one who isn't authorized access into the facility is allowed with half a mile of the perimeter fence.
I wondered why all this security was necessary for this facility, but thinking to myself I figured that it made some sense, considering this was the largest water purification facility in the country.
About 6 months after the facility began operating, things began to happen in the area. The local plant life and animals who enhabited the region around the facility began to become sick and die. For many months, the execs stated the rapid spread of Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) and certain types of fungal infections were to blame for the illnesses among animals and plants.
After months of griping from the town council, and DNR an investigation was conducted. The government played it off as a chemical spill. But I was very skeptical to the truth. Chemical spill? What kind of hazardous chemical needs to be used for water purification? The public was outraged, but soon forgot as the government remained quiet on the situation.
About a year after the whole ordeal, the facility began offering a water delivery service to the surrounding area. Many people flocked to purchase subscriptions, I personally declined as I saw nothing wrong with the tap water I drank. About a week after this began is when things started to happen.
It was 9pm on a June night. I was getting around for my nightshift job when I heard a loud scream come from the house 2 doors down. At first I played it off as people being roudy. But what I heard after that shocked me to the core. I heard another loud scream and someone yell "It's e
... keep reading on reddit β‘I recently posted the link on Shaq taking a position in WTER and accepting the role as it brand ambassador....
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/alkaline-water-company-shaquille-o-123000306.html
WTER is the largest bottled water co in its category (of alkaline water)
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/alkaline-water-company-inc-nasdaq-123000578.html
And with a CBD infused product too https://a88cbd.com/
IMHO this could result becoming a buyout candidate for a large beverage company.
Recently, Essentia, a U.S. alkaline water company, was acquired by NestlΓ© USA. This
transaction puts the previous independent company as part of the premium waters portfolio
of NestlΓ© USA that includes renowned brands like Perrier, S.Pellegrino, San Pellegrino and
Acqua Panna.
No guarantees....but something to mull over the long ( Memorial day) weekend
