Any Malagasy speakers who would be willing to answer a few questions about the language?

Hello! I'm a PhD student doing research related to Malagasy grammar and the examples that I can find in the literature are fairly limited and don't fully address some of the questions I have.

The questions I have would be fairly simple: partly just double checking the meaning and grammaticality of a few sentences, and party me asking how particular sentences would be translated into Malagasy.

Let me know if you'd be willing to help!

Njaka, which in Malagasy (the language of Madagascar) means "One who reigns"

Another picture of my little male, Njaka, for anyone curious. He's a little over 2 inches long, so still just a baby. I can't wait for him to molt, is there a way to tell he's getting ready to do so? He's my first and I can't seem to find any info on warning signs of an impending molt, just what it looks like when they're in the midst of one.

SERIOUS: This subreddit needs to understand what a "dad joke" really means.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

[English > Malagasy] I need help translating a certain phrase to Malagasy

This is for a story I'm making and I'm intrigued on the Malagasy language. Planning to make a language of my own for a certain continent in the story I'm making, and I just need to see if a phrase in English would 'accurately' (at least) translate to Malagasy.

"the child who stood with the land (or earth, soil, etc)" is what I need to translate.

The context is about a powerful child with elemental powers who protected his village from enemies. Thanks in advance!

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.

This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.

If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.

Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
