What’s your experience so far?

This used to work fine but all of a sudden when I attempt to "enable drive" it doesn't do anything. I checked the security/privacy settings to enable the pCloud extension but it no longer even gives me the option (after uninstalling/reinstalling several times). The pcloud website does not offer solutions that resolve the problem. Has anyone been able to resolve this? I am using pCloud version 3.11.1. This is annoying and I'm losing a lot of confidence in the service.

Hi everyone hope you're doing well and staying safe happy New Year and hope you all enjoyed the Christmas and New Year celebrations. I'm currently using Discord on macOS Big Sur with limited success and I have a few questions. Firstly are there specific keyboard shortcuts to take me to different areas of the app for example direct messages and my unread mentions. Secondly is there anyway to have incoming messages read out via text to speech I don't think this functionality is available natively in Discord and the growl notification system has now been discontinued is there any way to do this?

I've got a client whose unable to use the App Store on his Macbook running Big Sur 11.2.1. When it's opening it just displays a dark grey window shown on the attached screenshot. When clicking on the 'Store' menu on the top bar nothing appears, though App Store, Edit etc all display their menus. This apparently works when connected to other WiFi networks. When opened the icon does show their some updates or notifications so I'm assuming something comes through, though I'm not familiar enough with Macs to know if this is just cached somewhere or actively checking something when opened. The app store webpage loads fine in Safari, and following the 'Open In App' link opens the grey window just as it does when searching for it or opening via the Apple logo in the top left of the bar at the top of the screen.

I've seen recommendations online to delete the files/folders below, though the only ones present where com.apple.appstore and com.apple.appstoreagent in the caches folder. The device has been restarted multiple times since the issue first appeared a couple of days ago.

I'm running macOS Big Sur I've been asked to reinstall as the app crashed.
I've done this more times than I would like to count. When trying to open the app it will not start at all or sometimes it starts and ask for permission from Security, but there is no option to click on to give permission. I've set Allow apps downloaded from: Anywhere, this has not helped as well. Would like to ask people for some ideas to help me with this problem. Thanks in advance.

On my MacBook Pro (intel,13-inch, 2019).

I can't start Bluestacks after installing it. When I start it, the window opens for a moment, but then closes immediately.No error messages are displayed.

I contacted support and they gave me the following options. I tried that, but it didn't solve anything.

I contacted support about the unresolved issue and got the exact same answer.

Hello there!

I recently decided to re-install OpenCore since I had an old installation of Big Sur and wanted to enjoy installing OpenCore again.

I configured everything, however, it seems my RTL8111 kext seems to not be working in macOS Monetary or Big Sur, no matter which version of the kext I try. (This kext worked in my previous install BTW)

Can someone help me with the connection issue? And if it can't be resolved, can someone guide me on how to download a full image with macrecovery.py?

UPDATE: I've been troubleshooting for days, and eventually came to the conclusion that, for some reason, macOS doesn't recognize my dock anymore and I have to use a new one. Luckily, I had one on hand that worked perfectly that worked in Catalina.

We've got a handful of laptops that still need to get upgraded to Big Sur, but the catch is that (1) all these users don't have admin rights and (2) none of the machines are in DEP (they're too old).

Is there a way to push Big Sur to these machines silently in Workspace One. I know that we used be be able to push the Big Sur installer but admin rights are required for the full install.

Another wrinkle is that Monterey is out and getting Big Sur to deploy is tricky since it's not available in the App Store anymore. Monterey doesn't work with several of our security products yet. And there's currently no ETA on when they will. :(

Any help and/or advise is welcome.

Why would my MacBook Pro (15-inch 2019) previously running Big Sur change to Mojave (macOS 10.14.6) after it was erased and recovered via Internet Recovery?

I have read in multiple places that after 10.14.5 the HDMI port on Macbook Pros stopped working. I am asking this because I have a refurbished 2015 15in i7 2.8 ghz with AMD Radeon R9 M370X 2 GB all in all works great. If anybody who has a similar Mac would test if their HDMI port works I would appreciate it. I have a warranty on it for at least 2 years so I am not in panic mode. And I am able to use the MiniDisplayPort to my AOC u2879vf monitor works fine and I checked the HDMI port on the monitor with a separate PC so I know it works. So If you are running Big Sur or Monterey and have a 2015 or older Macbook Pro please take a minute to help a fellow apple fanboi......

Hi all,

I've got an issue with my setup that just started when I moved to Big Sur last week from Catalina. Everything was working fine before. To set the context, here is a description of the relevant parts of my USB setup described as a tree (items in lower tiers are plugged into the corresponding higher tier). I've got a 2019 Macbook Pro connected the a CalDigit hub that everything else runs out of.

• CalDigit TS3 plus
  • Arturia Keylab 88 mk2
  • Korg Minilogue XD
  • J5 create USB hub
    • Presonus Faderport mk2

(Note that I have a lot more plugged into the CalDigit I'm not mentioning that doesn't seem to be involved in the issue.)

As mentioned, this all worked fine in Catalina. In Big Sur, I seem to get a conflict if I plug either the Korg or the Faderport into the J5 hub. If I plug everything into the CalDigit, it works, but I don't have enough ports for that to be convenient. If either the Korg or the Faderport goes into the hub, I don't get functionality out of either of those two devices and I can see whatever is plugged into the hub flickering on and off in the Audio MIDI setup window - the connection doesn't seem consistent. If Logic is open, I get continual notifications about the number of MIDI IOs changing.

This sounds like an issue with the J5 hub, but other non-midi devices (my iLok, external USB drives) work fine on the hub. Only USB MIDI devices have an issue on the hub. What's weirder is that this didn't start right away when I upgraded to Big Sur - it worked for a day or two, then the current issue started. So I don't know 100% that it's tied to the OS change

Does anybody have any troubleshooting ideas? Thanks!

basically title. Crashes without warning. Seems like it happens when there’s too much stuff loaded on the app after scrolling for a bit, (~20mins use) but sometimes it happens within 5mins of use (e.g. when scrolling through vid). Like a half-second lag, then the app exits with option to report and reopen. Never really had this happen on iOS, iPadOS or even on my old MacBook Air. Would reporting help?

i know this is probably lower on the priority pole (after all it is first and foremost an iOS app I guess) but it’s odd because it worked just fine on my old MacBook Air. Hoping for a fix soon, love the app; it’s made scrolling on the web version unbearable haha.

App version: 1.12 OS: macOS Monterrey 12.0.1 -> updated to 12.1, still same issue M1 Pro (10-core cpu) 16 in mbp Reproducibility: random, seems like a memory overload but idk much about computing. It’s pretty spotty, and I think chances go up of crashing the more I load by scrolling. BUT it’s happened at least 10 times since yesterday when I began using the app on this device.

I have this problem all the time with my Bluetooth since I bought my Mac 3 years ago.

The Bluetooth works for some time and then freezes, and I oblige to restart my mac otherwise it does not recover by itself I tried all the manipulation with the terminal or delete the file in finder or reset the module ... nothing to do
