Absolute madness! The hugely popular LyricWiki was locked to keep people from adding "offensive" songs.

I find this utterly baffling. Clearly, Wikia/Fandom is getting more and more censorship-happy, and the higher-ups don't give a damn what the community thinks about their idiotic decisions. Shall we discuss alternative wiki-hosting services to move our wikis?

LyricWiki has been my go to site for lyrics and I really liked it...I hope they will be back online soon...

So I go to lyricwiki to look up some song lyrics. I quickly find what I'm looking for and get to the appropriate page. Hmm, that's odd, I can't seem to select any text to copy it. Well, no big deal, it's probably some stupid javascript trick, so I'll just disable javascript and reload the page. Oh, for crying out loud: "You must enable javascript to view this page." Okay, more than one way to skin a cat, I'll just do a view source and grab what I need from there. What the... they've encoded the song lyrics using html entities?! For god's sake, guys, what the hell?

Long story short: view source, select the encoded song lyrics, copy, paste into new file, save as blah.html, open in a web browser, and finally I have my song lyrics that I can copy and paste elsewhere.

If anyone from lyricwiki.org is reading this: fuck you for adding an unnecessary 45 seconds of frustration to my life every time I want to look up song lyrics. If you don't want people to be able to copy+paste the lyrics, then don't make them available on a public web server, dumbasses.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

And in Spring of that year, The Yogscast would announce a Kickstarter of their own, leading to one of the biggest trainwrecks in crowdfunding history.

The Yogscast is a group of friends that, like nearly every channel back in the day, would upload countless hours of content playing video games. Originally formed by Lewis Brindley and Simon Lane, the duo grew a strong following through their Warcraft content before branching out to games like Garry’s Mod, Grand Theft Auto, and, of course, Minecraft. It’s hard to understand just how huge Yogscast was, their Minecraft song parodies alone gaining tens of millions of views and retaining a massive fan base that would watch them play through practically any title. While not as influential as before, they are still uploading to this day, and enjoy a steady stream of fans even over a decade after their career first launched.

So, it perhaps wasn’t too out of left field when they looked for collaborators to make their own video game. First generation crypto currency worked of the concept of Poof of work. There, it is a race to solve a complicated math puzzle, and perform the block write operation. And as a reward get coin. “Mining.” Mining is slow. Bitcoin can only do 7 transactions a minute.

Of the thousands and thousands of machines out there racing to win the next block, only 1 at a time wins. That means the others have literally wasted their energy via compute CPU and GPU cycles. Bitcoin used more energy than Argentina last year.
But its not all bad. POW is still the oldest and most battle tested consensus algorithm, and many ague more secure because of it.

What is proof of Stake?

Proof of Stake works on different types of newly developed “Consensus” algorithms. Ouroboros protocol, created by IHOK and Cardano, along with a team of PHDs and mathematicians, is the first of its kind. They created a secure “lottery” consensus mechanism to “elect” the next “slot leader” to write the block. Here each Stake pool can get a chance to be elected by winning the lottery. Who Is J. Cole?

While this could have been a bio, I think a sum of all of his works applies more in this scenario. From the gate, The Warm-Up proved Cole was here to stay, or he SHOULD be.. From his personal rendition of “Dead Presidents”, “Til Infinity”, and “Royal Flush” its obvious to see he had the skills to be a complete rapper. This was in an era where flips and freestyles were important because you could put your lyricism over a beat people had already come to know and love, and in a lot of ways, it was a true test of abilities. Ah, Friday Night Funkin’. A game filled with so much drama it could all fit in this subreddit.

But, a thing that interested me when I entered the fandom is not only the mods, but also a red eye symbol that appeared in some mods.

In my first post to this subreddit, I decided to not document in any drama for the drama flair, but rather document history for the history flair!

#Terminology

Crossover: When a work features characters or things from another work. Usually for fun and has no bearing on the main plot.

Mods: Short for modification. It changes the game into something else via changing the code. It can range from a change in GUI, soundtrack, and characters, to full-blown new levels (weeks in this case)

#What is Friday Night Funkin’?

(Skip this section if you already know what it is)

Friday Night Funkin’ is—basically—if you put Dance Dance Revolution and Parappa the Rapper in a blender and serve the result to a site called Newgrounds on a date or something.

In other words, it’s an indie rhythm game created for a game jam one day (it didn’t get the top ten in the categories, if you’re wondering) where the gameplay is like DDR but 2-player... except the devs haven’t implemented multiplayer yet so the opponent is a CPU for now. The opponent usually goes first and you copy the verses. Don’t worry, it’s not a memory game as arrows do come your way the same way DDR does. Sadly, it doesn’t have a freestyling mechanic built in the game. In fact, the base game punishes you for it!

It’s also a love letter to Newgrounds, as characters made by the users there appear in the game. It’s even confirmed that one of the mascots of the site used to date the main character!

The story is as follows: You play as a 19 year old named Boyfriend (yes, that’s his name) who is trying to woo a demon girl named Girlfriend (yes, that’s her name).

...except the latter’s demon parents don’t approve of their relationship.

And so, you rap-battle against her parents (and some other guys that may try to separate you from your girlfriend, or worse, kill you) so you can get the girl and get freaky on a Friday night.

By rap-battling, I mean singing in harmonic beeps and boops.

Previously I have posted a question asking if people like to know a little bit more about the Beijing Opera and have received positive feedback, and that’s what I am writing for today. But first of all, I would like to say that I am not an expert in this, so please correct me if I am wrong about anything. I just happen to be someone who watches opera, plays Genshin, and knows English. I am aware of my limited knowledge and after deep consideration, I decided that I am not going to write an official and professional introduction. Instead, I am going to tell you what I know and what I like about it. I will briefly talk about The Divine Damsel of Devastation, the main character types in Chinese Opera, and then focus on Dan (women) in Beijing Opera, which is Yunjin’s character type as well as my favourite, and finally talk a little bit about other Chinese Opera. I will also link some opera videos that I like. I tried to find videos with English subtitles but some of them I can’t, sorry about that. You might see the same people in the different video though because they are opera actors/actresses that I really like haha. These videos are all short sections of opera. A full show usually lasts for hours, I wouldn’t recommend watching it at first since it’s too long.

This post will be divided into three parts. The first part will discuss Ralsei and W. D. Gaster's potential history together. The second part will discuss how Spamton and Noelle are connected. The third part will discuss how Kris also connects with Noelle and Spamton's struggle, how Ralsei tries to guide Kris into the direction that Ralsei deems to be correct, and some future predictions of Deltarune.

Part 1: Ralsei, Gaster, and the Roaring

This is him.png. Gaster says that the three heroes will banish the Angel's Heaven eventually. Ralsei also knows the prophecy, and he is quite eager to tell it to Kris and Susie. The thing is... Where did he get this information from? He resembles a young sweet prince, who knows little about himself. What I believe is that Gaster and Ralsei were initially cooperating at some point.

Ralsei has a multitude of meta-game knowledge. He knows about the SOUL, saving, keyboard actions, can direct the player's attention and control away from Kris (jail scene in Chapter 1, Susie and Noelle's Ferris wheel ride in Chapter 2), the overlay of the school in the Light World, can detect Kris and Susie when they are far from Ralsei, and even urged Kris to forget about what Spamton said to Kris.

Ralsei can also talk to Kris without the player's awareness. We've seen it after Susie fights Lancer in Chapter 1, and after Susie and Noelle's Ferris wheel scene in Chapter 2. We hear him saying something very interesting:
